Your work is always more than wonderful, and your choice of tools is very tasteful and in the right place, I wish you continued success in your future work . 🌲🌱🌷🌼🌻💐
Wonderful painting Emma! i would love to see you prepare a rough watercolor paper with some clear gesso and even a sheet with pumice added! This is what I use for my practice as UArt is so expensive, I like the Premier sanded paper over at Dakota pastels too! i have only seen a couple of videos on the process but I would really like to see how you set it up and work on this surface too! I have tried to loosen up with my pastel artworks as my watercolor paintings always seem to be to refined or to meticulous according to some. I love the manner in which Alain Picard works and I have lamented my inability to find the funds for the landscape class he offers but I do watch his videos as well. I try to keep learning as I go. I use a lot of funds just buying supplies and I even had to forgo my Partreon support of Artists as I had to retire and money is simply not there. BAH! Who needs to know this? So sorry for clogging up your comment section! Wonderful painting and I hope you do even more here on the UA-cam!
Thank you for showing this style of painting Emma. Your painting is beautiful. The struggle certainly isn't evident in the end result. I am keen to see more tutorials like this. I have experimented with loose work on Pastelmat and found some sections shed a bit so I was wondering if I was being too heavy handed; so I found your mention of the paper choice interesting. Thank you for sharing your findings.
Emma, wonderful to see you experimenting. A couple of your fellow-artists in the US, Susan Jenkins and Karen Margulis, use a very similar style. I enjoy their videos nearly as much as yours. Looking forward to seeing you develop this!
Thanks Keith! I know them both and it's actually a lot of American artists who I look to for inspiration in this style. I also like Mark Ivon Cole for his woodland studies.
As always what a joy to watch and learn from you for me watching you didn’t look as if you were experimenting .The finish painting is beautiful. Would love to work along with you. Looking forward to the next one.
I love your chanel! I find your videos very helpful. Is there a reason you use pastel stick rather than pan pastels? I can only afford one or the other so I'm trying to decide which to get.
I love the versatility of the sticks. With Pans I can only apply them using a tool which never leaves as much vibrance in the colours. Sticks are pure pigment going straight on the paper. And I can do everything with the tools using my sticks too. Just rub them with the applicator like you would the pot of Panpastel. I like Pans but I'll never give up my sticks haha!
Brilliant if you are going to do a few landscape I will subscribe to your patron channel, I only have a few unison but do have a full set of daler rowney and some rembrandt.
That painting is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful ❤❤👌👌🥰🥰
Oh I am so excited by this process. So loose and alive. Look forward to seeing more of this style of painting.
Thank you Emma for sharing again your talent and wonderful painting
Wow! The queen of pastels strikes again 👌👏👏👏💜
Wow! That is absolutely gorgeous!!! 💥 How wonderful to see you painting a wooden scene! ❤️
