I found out today that not only can you open the doors with the actual key but if you put the fob right up against the start button it will start the car even if the battery is dead as there is a sensor there.

It does not work for me, i tried different screwdrivers from 2,5 to 4mm but i could not twist to open the case.
some cases can be a bit tricky, you may need to two screwdrivers, one at the bottom and carefully one down the side at the same time.

How do you change the metal part you remove @ 0:15 ?
I was always told not to touch those batteries with your hands, because of the oils will make them die faster ?
hi, I’ve personally not heard that before with battery’s, I know that’s the case with halogen headlight bulbs. but I will bear that in mind.

Hi there. Does someone has an idea about why my key is now showing a steady red light?
check the Battery is the correct way round, try refitting it and then pressing the lock and then unlock button.
@@scspares many thanks for the advice. The battery was all covered up in acid. I have cleaned it up and ordered a replacement battery. Let's hope it will work.
