    My favorite tip from you is to bring a tray. I never thought about it and it's so useful especially when you can't find a table.

    While I have never been to the Food and Wine Festival, I did go to the Flower and Garden Show this year, and found that the 2-4 PM time slot is actually a pretty good time to eat at the booths. It's a nice way to avoid long ride lines during the afternoon, and to kill some time before the evening fireworks if you got to the parks super early and already rode all of the rides.

      Make sure to try everything at France, even the escargot. They've put extra effort into french cooking everytime I've gone.

    Thanks to your blogs where you list all of the foods at each booth for each festival, I always like to plan what items I get to eat/drink and I always have a budget of $30. If you plan wisely (or maybe I just like cheap foods :P) i can always get 5-6 items!

    I'm a Disney Annual Passholder and I always tell my visiting friends and family to avoid going to the Food and Wine Festival on Friday nights and weekends as local Floridians pack the World Showcase. Just a suggestion to try to go during the work week and start eating around lunch to avoid the biggest crowds!

    One thing to remind people is that if you can't get to EPCOT, most larger cities have Food Festivals of their own (or Restaurant Weeks, which Boston has a wonderful one) and you can try super-expensive restaurant fare in your area for a lot less than you normally could. My best friend's birthday happens usually during Boston's Restaurant Week, so I always love to take her out to dinner then, because her birthday dinner can be a lot fancier than we normally could afford, and if it's a restaurant we wanted to try but were scared by the price, it's less of a gamble.

      Evebn though the World Showcase opens later, you can actually still get in to the France Pavilion (at the entrance by the Boardwalk Resort) around 9am and can get a delicious brioche and coffee and then wander through to Future World that opens at 9am...at least we stumbled on that a year ago!

    We always seem to miss the Food and Wine, But were in the middle of a Disney Restaurant Reveiw series at the moment so we probably should Probably try and make it this year! The food always looks beautiful at both here and Flower and Garden EPCOT is really an under rated park!

      Bianca Klopfer I went to the flower and garden festival and first of all: it’s is beautiful! Second of all it is realllyyyy similar to the food and wine festival in my opinion as the booths with the unique foods from around the world are up at this time as well; not sure about the special events however

    The FAWF always used to run through my birthday, November 18th, but the past few years it has been running earlier. Longer yes, but earlier and earlier in the season which makes it sooo hot. But it's still my favorite so I'll stop whining.

    I’ve been waiting 33 years to go to WDW and I finally get to take my family this year! I have planned for our very first day (Nov. 12) to be at EPCOT. Since that is the last day of the festival, would you recommend switching days and experiencing EPCOT for the first time on a “regular” day or would the last day of the festival be a cool kickoff to our first trip? We will have 2 kids with us, ages 3 and 5. Thanks! PS - I love your channel and have learned so much from watching!

    • @mindys1198
      @mindys1198 6 років тому

      Definitely Check out the Festival. Its all the greatness of "Regular Day" with extra food booths. Dont make any dining reservations. Even if you dont like many of the booth foods there are lots of counter service restaurants around the world that are good. My suggestion would be to go to the Land pavillion first thing...Ride Soarin, Ride the land and then eat some Croissant Berry Bread Pudding at Sunshine seasons. Because soarin can get busy and if you do it first with the land you can save your Fastpasses for other attractions.
      I love talking to people going on their first trip....If you have any other questions please ask.

      @angelaseminara2864 6 років тому +1

      oreneishii honestly it depends on your priorities and if you have kids how young they are. If your kids are under 10 I would do it on a regular day. It’s just the last week of the festival is SO crowded and you might have to wait 30-60 minutes for food at the more popular booths and the wait times will also be heightened. A lot of times kids don’t want to wait in line and there are just SO MANY PEOPLE.

    • @ashmoleproductions5407

      If only you could have gone in the early nineties when all the greatest pavilions were still there

    • @HeidiSKulesh
      @HeidiSKulesh 6 років тому

      First of all - I want to say I hope you have the most magical visit ever! Next - if I were you, I would definitely visit Epcot another day, especially with little ones. It's going to be crowded, being the last day of F&W, plus it's Veteran's Day!

    • @heidiziemer9696
      @heidiziemer9696 6 років тому

      There are things for small children at Epcot, so no worries there (a splash pad, KidCot stations at all the Pavilions in World Showcase, characters, fountains, music, and much more - my kids loved it when they were little! If you and your party are "foodies" then definitely stop there first to catch the unique food kiosks!

    Really looking forward to visiting Epcot during f&w as first time to Disney World. Is it worth swapping a quick service credit for the 3 snack credits as was thinking of doing it the two days we’re planning on spending at Epcot then making dining reservations for Teppan Edo and Garden Grill in the evenings.

    Hi AJ! First off I LOVE all of your videos and am so jealous of your job! I have a question about the food and wine festival.. I was there in 2015 and I remember purchasing a passport for the festival but I can’t remember what sort of extras it gave me.. Do you recal some sort of passport that could have been purchased? I am planning my 50th trip to WDW for sept 2019 and I just need to know that I’m not crazy and that purchasing that passport thing back in 2015 was a real thing and if they still do it?

    Is it possible to go to the Food and Wine Festival and the holiday celebrations in the same trip? In other words, does the end of the Food and Wine Festival overlap with the start of the holiday season?

      Unfortunately, Food and Wine ends before Holidays around the World. If you are looking to celebrate Halloween, you can attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party during The Food And Wine Festival but the Festival of Holidays (formerly Holidays around the World) and Mickey's Very Mery Christmas Party don't start until after Food and Wine.

    • @DFBGuide
      @DFBGuide  6 років тому +1
