If you don't have the car buy a used ls7 and build it, cost you the same and out do a 6.0.
@@unknown_truckers would it actually? I need a new heart for my truck
$50 radio, not crying about it being low, not whining about cheap aftermarket lights....That fixes 3 of the problems right off the bat
Great information. Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad I could help!
I feel you on the bad roads I live in Detroit and I have trouble getting into drive ways with my ‘10 Jeep srt8
It causes lots of problems for us in the car community
So your telling me if you leave the thing in there constantly you can’t open the doors?
In some cases yes, but you can still use the manual emergency latch in the trunk
My car has this problem. If I plug in the device, the keyfob will not be detected. As soon as I turn the car on it will work fine. If I forget it before exiting the vehicle, I need to use the emergency key hole by the trunk and the car alarm goes off. Kinda annoying :/
First thing I did was replaced my head unit for a nice new touch screen with Bluetooth and apple car play. Also you CAN get into the car with the key. I’m sure you know that though.
Yes you can open up the trunk with a key and then pull the manual door opener ! I’ve also heard good things about the replacement apple head units
@@CaylebPletos my car didn’t come with keys so I had to go get two of them made. I didn’t even know they needed keys until I did more research.
@@eclipse1328 yes it needs to be inside the car for the car to start
@@CaylebPletos I wasn’t talking about the “key fob”. I know the key fob has to be inside the car to start it, that’s common sense. I was talking about the “keys” themselves.

The only legitimate complaint was the heads
Until he got to the heads, this was the biggest whiniest nonsense I've ever heard. I was thinking his shirt had to be made out of Tampax
Holy hand gestures
What brand Bluetooth and model plug is that?
no way he complained about the low fitment lol its still not low enough from factory
send your heads to Texas Speed ,they do good head work for a good price
I’ve heard great things about them
Is there an easy way to tell if the heads have been fixed on the Corvette if you’re looking at one?
Not that I know of. I asked at the dealership when I purchased and didn’t see anything on the service report. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me in the comments can answer this?
You can get a Carfax report on the service records if you have the VIN.
The only issue is the valves, but it doesn’t happen to every Z06. I have an 08 and beat the piss out of it before I had it built by vengeance racing. And never had an valve issue but did replace the heads when it was built.
How about some road trips...pretty friendly?
@@Texas_Cruiser yep I would go on a road trip but your in Texas right ? I’m probably 1100 or so miles from you.
Vengeance Racing are the only folks that I let touch my Vette.
@@browningbelgium2326 yep I agree, I take it to Chevy for oil changes and drain the catch can but only one guy messes with my car there. I’m thinking about sending it back to vengeance and adding a supercharger but I haven’t decided yet.
@@kevinz0681 When prices come back to normal, I'll buy a 2011-13 Z06 and take it to Vengeance and do a heads/cam job immediately. They've phased out doing jobs on C5's last year but will honor any past work done. I'm a kid in the candy store when i go there. The need for speed is in my blood.
I Love the C6 Z06 but i hate that its only manual i HATE manual transmissions
That changed once the C7 came out
How do you hate manual transmissions?
Good video. I'm much more concerned with head failure with the c6 z06. I'd never own one bc of this.
Thank you, I was very concerned also, however since it has gotten cheaper over the past few years in the used market I thought I could justify the purchase considering the extra money I plan to put into it to fix the issue
@@CaylebPletos you're doing better off than me! I cant justify the price on a Z yet, but a base model c6 is right around the corner for me. I plan to throw a cam in and update the valve springs, that I can do myself. Good luck brother.
The base c6 is an amazing sports car that’s relatively easy to build and you get a lot of value for the price! Good luck on the build!!
My car is all apart (I hope I can remember how it goes back together). I sent my heads to American Heritage in CA to be fixed.
It’s 10:10 pm CST
Buy a Lift kit or a Gmc then a suspention lift ...
Bro you climbing the youtube ladder
Thanks man! I've been working hard over the past few years, hopefully one day it all pays off!
Did you check with other Corvette owners about the dirt inside the headlights?
Yes, I learned this information from a few friends who own corvettes and from noticing it myself
Still have the vette?
Yes I do! And I still love it!
So are your heads fixed?
Mine are not fixed, but I planned on getting them fixed as soon as possible. I was gonna film the whole process
@@CaylebPletos that would be cool. I have a 07 z06 with 29k miles and dropping a valve it always in the back of my mind :/
I agree with you, it’s a scary thought. I’d rather get bit fixed and be safe. We’re in pretty similar situations I’ve got a 2006 with 32k miles
Hi ! I have a 2008 Z06 and im french. What is this problem i dont understand. The motor can explose or something? How to fix it?
HI look up "LS7 heads issue" this should be all you need to know
I love Michigan and I love corvette
Do you still have the car ?
Yes!
Cheap plastic Fuse Box lid cover made in Mexico. When plastic clip breaks it will set you back $965. Cheap plastic connectors on fuel pump sending unit. Rear-end has to he removed to remove gas tank. Cost is $2026.
Wow. Do some more research on that valve issue. That should have been number 1 discussed.
I think "major problems" is bit of a stretch of what you described...haha
Bro....bro...listen to me. You're in the wrong profession. You should be doing hair commercials. Seriously, mans hair is phenomenal af!
Bro I appreciate that so much ❤️
Very little content.
Mostly jibberish.
Most seemed like nothingburger issues. The only one that was the main concern was the last one. Plus another major one was what happened to my base vette: The sending unit cracking in the fuel tank and fuel could be sprayed out there and land on the HOT exaust. It got sone for free by chevy under a special coverage thing.
subscribed, this is my suture dream car as a C7 is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Thanks for the sub ❤️
BEWARE! My 2007 at 30K miles has a fuel pump problem @ $2500 to fix. GM did a "warranty extension" for 10 years ending 2017 on this known problem. Should have been a RECALL so everyone was notified with no limitation on the time to fix. It is so dangerous they re-designed the original fuel pump! I noticed it when fuel smell started filling the car while parked. Now I am driving a lethal bomb until I can afford to fix it!
I didn't know that thank you for the help for all of us!
I'm not being a smart aleck or disrespectful, in my experience with fuel pumps, they don't give problems, they just quit. Could your issue be a fuel line or exhaust leak?
did you fix the problem????

Hey corvette buddies!
Omg, he talks about the time and other shit. Seats, front brakes and heads are the only three probs and easy to fix.
I wish mine would disappear instead of not staying fucking programmed
Mine came back after a while idk why
The ZO6 is a beautiful car but that engine flaw with dropping valves is bad.
One thing I noticed that wasn’t mentioned 06-07 have T56s 08-13 have TR6060s much stronger transmission but one thing I hate is because 06-07 was the only years they made Le Mans blue except for the one off ZR1 for auction
So I’ve never driven with a TR6060 so I can’t say which one I prefer. However, I haven’t noticed any problems with my T56. I love the color, unfortunately it’s only limited edition. Same thing with the cyber grey metallic, one of my other favorite colors
Cayleb Pletos t56 ain’t bad just got modded cars with that extra power something to consider
Do you think I would have any issues with it in the future? I’m planning on doing a light heads cam build for now
Appreciate showing video screen, because yours looks exactly like mine, lack of brightness.
Personally opinion...engine covers are ugly, if the color difference is a problem take them off...
I think you need to drink some water or something....or figure out why you have to keep swolloing sooooo much! It is distracting from what you are trying to convey.
