You can power shift the tremec tr6060 easily. Definitely not a “no lift shift” like the new lt1 and lt4.
He definitely was no-lift shifting because you can see the backfire between shifts.

Yeah, he ain’t lying about 700whp, that’s about the limit N/A but in an already light ZO6 with weight reduction and maxed out LS7 is a beast, and a dream of mine to own. I’d take that SS too, it’s pretty badass.

you can make about 800rwhp with a stock bottom end, potentially more if you completely built it like an LSX.
That's what I was thinking, I was like they've got to be telling a little white lie about a 700WHP N/A car. But that bitch moved out for sure.
That ss is nasty af, but cant compete with 900#difference and only 200 more hp.
So 700hp is about max na on c6 z06? I had no idea. I think a fat supercharger would be nice for that whine and an additional 4-5 hundred hp. I heard anything over 1000-1100 and it cars become much more difficult to handle, spin outs in 3rd, etc and daily driving around 1100 or so it for comfortability. Some dude on LMR racing channel. I wouldnt know as no car ive owned has had more than 200hp😂😂, but would like your or someone elses take on that assettion

I own both a HCI C6Z and a stock C7Z. The C7Z is truly an amazing car that drives as if it were stuck on rails. Chevy's engineers did an absolute amazing job with that car, and I fully believe them when they say that there wasn't really much room for improvement for a front engine configuration 'vette, especially once the C7 ZR1 came out.
The C6Z on the other hand just feels absolutely raw (in the best way possible). You can definitely tell that it's a much lighter car than the C7Z, without all of the "driver assist" nannies (although there are some). Even though it still drives amazingly well for a 14+ year old car, it is a car that demands respect, as it will bite you in the ass if you don't know what you're doing, especially once you go HCI with it. One thing is for sure, there is NOTHING like the feeling of driving a car with a 600whp+ NA engine (other than an NA V10/V12 of course). The C6Z deserves its legendary status.

The C6Z06 surprises a lot of people. I owned a lightly modded one nowhere near 700rwhp and still hurt a lot of feelings 😂 especially built Mustangs. People forget how much weight matters. It’s why you’ll see a stock C7Z06 at 650 HP still beat a Hellcat at 707/717 HP.
C6 Z was over engineered. Reason they still hurt feeling till today like you said.

@@johncena-hq1ti Nice uneducated guess sir but you’re wrong. The ZL1 LT4 engine (10.8:1) is basically a boosted LT1 engine (10.4:1)
The LT4 engine just has a little bit better engine components & a little bit better compression than a LT1. But in this case it doesn’t matter because this Camaro SS has a built motor (11.6:1)
1. Far better compression than a stock ZL1
2. Better engine components
3. Better supercharger

Neither did I. Not like that atleast lol. But to the SS defense, he is short shifting by about 500 rpms and isn't power shifting. He wasn't going to 7500 because he just got the car back recently snd testing how it does since it just got rebuilt. Either way the z06 would still win but not as much.

On that first race I thought the Z06 must have switched the transmission into DCT mode 🤔. Maybe it's a 1 speed manual because i couldn't tell when he shifted.

I've seen very few C6Z's (NA) that have touched 700 rwhp. Unless it's running a solid roller and has some heavily worked MAST heads, it's not making 700 rwhp, especially with a MSD intake! MAYBE 660 rwhp, but not 700. Sick car either way, especially with the slight weight reduction!

The difference with this z06 and the others is not just the weight difference but that compression. I always thought it was a stock bottom end car.
