I LIKE the way you use the Bosch…it is the BEST mixer ever and the average working life of the Bosch is between 18 to 25 years. I have been using a Bosch since 1980 and love the Bosch Kitchen Machine!
I had my Bosch Universal which not as big as this for over 23 years and we moved out of the country 10 years ago so I gave it to my daughter and she is still using it to make bread. It's almost 34 years old and still works like new. I bought a new one that works on 220 volts and I love it. A grandson just got married and I am buying one for his wife.
I tested a Kitchen Aid. It burned out in 3 days. My Bosch is a workhorse, lasted over a decade and paid for itself multiple times. Its much more beautiful than anything kitchen aid could hope to be. Bosch for life.
I've read a lot of complaints about the newer KitchenAids not performing well. Mine is from the 1980s and it is still working fine, but when it dies, I won't get another KA. They're very pretty now but I need something I can rely on. Are you still happy with your Bosch mixer? Thanks.
Someone asked where I bought my Bosch Universal 220V. I bought it at a store on 13th Ave in Borough Park when I was visiting a relative. There are plenty of stores that sell the Bosch. The one I have has been discontinued and I don't know how I got it. It was the last one. The new Boschs have bigger bowls than mine. They are worth every penny.
I have the old version of Bosch Universal my mom got it from lucky draw when I was ten years old. It's been thirty two years still going strong we only use it for bread coz never wanna try to mix bread dough on KA standing mixer.
I want the one that comes with the stainless steel bowl. There are some great prices online. Metal lasts longer than plastic. Plastic can become roughed up from sugar and salt scratches.
Hey Janet - they do make a model that comes with a stainless steel bowl that you can check out here: evkitch.com/45J7nAV If you wanted a white model, they do have the stainless steel bowl as an accessory that you can get as well: evkitch.com/45JV1s1 Let us know if you have any other questions! I bought my 1st Bosch Universal with a lot of attachments 16 years ago. I'm considering buying the Universal Plus. Can you tell me if the attachments from the older Bosch are compatible with the Plus? I don't want to buy all new attachments.
C D - Bosh now has a stainless steel mixing bowl (see here: evkitch.com/2NX9hsL) - I'm not sure if they'll ever go full-stainless steel for every component though. Still an excellent mixer 🍞
"Bottom mount motor?" The Universal has a side mount motor. It is under the blender mount. I grew up with the OLD Universal, and think it is the BEST mixer for a large family, or anyone that LOVES to bake! steve
@@HotVoodooWitch, I've seen one apart. It has a small gear, on the bottom of the motor, and a LARGE gear, under the bowl. The large gear is a little larger than the bowl, in diameter. Small gear, about 1.5 inches. steve

I'm so glad you've got so much use out of your Bosch! That is a testament to their quality ❤

This was a very thoughtful review; it's good to mention any small shortcomings.

Cut the music so we can concentrate on what you’re saying. What type of oil do use for the shaft bearing and shaft gear hole?
when are you coming out with a stainless steel unit; attachments and all?

Two drives: high-speed for blender, etc. in the "tower"; lower speed under the bowl.

I've been hearing that the Bosch plastic attachments break. Has anyone had issues with this?

Thanks for the review!
You're very welcome 🍞
do you deliver to the philippines?
Hello, we only ship to the USA at this time. So sorry!
Can't listen with the music playing. I need narration. If I want music, I can easily play my pick of it on the side.
I want the cookie recipe! LOL! Please provide!
