Didn't really help. I'm just confused on how to know what way to rotate the points. The assignment doesn't specify which way, just to rotate it 90°. Is there any other a way to know?
Hey, i saw this other comment saying, memorise how a clock works. The way the clock goes is clockwise and that means the opposite is anti-clockwise. Hope this helps?
@@amberb9032 this was a really long time ago lol, I don't need help anymore. Regardless that wasn't the issue, she didn't specify to rotate it clockwise or counter clockwise. I know what that means I just didn't know which way 90° she wanted me to turn it
@@cerealman2751 lmao I’m sorry, I must have misread your question, and also when u commented. My bad, and also what a stupid question to answer, when it doesn’t specify which way.
If you're looking a disc or sphere a 0° directly in front of you and it is rotating counter clockwise, then you change the side you are viewing it from by exactly 180 degrees, or the precise opposite side, it will then look as though it is rotating clockwise. Therefore it is rotating clockwise and counterclockwise simultaneously depending on the vantage point. Perception it the ruler of all problems. There really isn't a formula to calculate or quantify perception. Which begs the question, is it even truly, actually, for a fact, calculatably, quantifiably rotating at all?
My doubt is imagine if a clock is clockwise Looking from the behind its actually anticlockwise when there are questions with directions how will we determine that we wanna use Clockwise or Anticlockwise
Isn't the direction of rotation relative to the position of the observer? Imagine a transparent clockface. So someone standing in front of the clock sees its hands in clockwise rotation, but the same hands seen by someone standing behind the clockface at the same time, would be in anti-clockwise rotation.
In 3D you are using "normal vector" to determine the direction of rotation. In your example, normal vector would an arrow pointing towards the "correct" observer. But yes, while the rotation can be determined in a coordinate system, you would still observe it differently.
The frustration of a missed point is palpable on both sides. I wouldn't be a good teacher. I would hold my pen in my hand and slowly rotate it counter clockwise and clockwise to make the point. If they still didn't get it, I would have everyone in the room stand up and do a T pose and rotate their bodies to the right (clockwise) then to the left(counterclockwise). If after that they still didn't get it, I would have to take a minute in my car outside to smoke a joint and consider my career choice.
what if the hour hand is on six oclock,, and someone tells u to push the hand back counterclockwise to 3 oclock.. you would be pushing/rotating the hand to the right.. so doesn't perspective matter?
Wouldn't that be silly because a position on a clock isn't the same as a blank point in space? If you pushed the clock hand to your left from six oclock and continued that motion indefinitely then you would now be in a clockwise rotation.. From six oclock you would have to push it to the right to go in a counterclockwise position... The concept stemmed from the spin of a clock at the 12 oclock position... but that logic goes out the window if your starting point is at six.. its no longer a blank point... you're within the point of rotation so you would have to follow the rotation,, not start a new one because the one you start would be going the wrong way. At the end of the day we invent words and ideas to represent something.. The only thing that matters is the direction of the spin.. that is what counts and what the words are meant to represent... we just instinctively get to this position by following the 12 oclock position at any point or object. But at the end of the day if you end up not following the proper rotation then it means nothing. It doesn't matter how a star originated its position.. if we see it going clockwise, its clockwise..
Omg I just can’t get it in my brain which way is clockwise and counter clockwise! I’m getting so frustrated. Teacher: this goes clockwise.. Me: is clockwise up or down? Teacher: well… clockwise is clockwise Me: 😡😤👏

Look at a clock, watch how it spins, that's clockwise. Now if it spins on the other way that is Anticlockwise/Counterclockwise
yes!
Genius!
Oh yeah, duh
Dude ur insane!
No! You have to make a 45 minute explanation of it using quantum physics!

I’m here to double check my loc retwist lol!!
Why does running a fan counter clockwise create a windchill effect? Is there a video that explains the physics of that?
But what if you look at the rotation from the other side like if you were standing behind the white board
yes, this is my question.thank you.
My entire class needs this lesson.
So is counterclockwise to the left or right n is clockwise to the right 🤔
Why clockwise are always consider negative and Anticlockwise positive iin resolving force
if you screw a bolt, clockwise tightens it (+) whereas anticlockwise loosens it (-)
Diffrence between anti clock wise and counter clockwise?????
Sir I have a question that counter clockwise is the another term of anti clockwise???
Yes

So its neither you standing left of right? the rotations still the same? i mean. if im standing Right of the Counterclockwise would it be clockwise?

I'm not exactly sure why this even need to be explained
i dont even know how i got here or why this necessary
I prefer Reverse Clockwise and for Clockwise: Clockway or the direction in which clocks go.
Thanks for info!
This is a godsend for FFXIV raiding explanations.
Does the rotation of angles affects its sign (positive/negative)?
Mr.nobody Mr.nobody
here's a rule for coordinate plane rotations
90 counterclockwise: (X,Y) -> (-Y, X)
180 rotation (X, Y) -> (-X, -Y)
270 rotation (X, Y) -> (Y, -X)
360 rotation (X, Y) -> (X, Y)
Yes iT does

ayeee nice observation it took a while for me to understand so we just have to stick with the hand on 12 XD
I never understood rotation but thanks to u i do now thx
to understand better we have anticlockwise wristwatches on our website "E157" on www.157enterprises.com
