Meet Jo, the GKA commentator. He is everyone's friend on tour! He has an amazing personality and keeps the crowd super entertained during our competitions!
Mika has a weekly UA-cam channel where she connects the viewers to the international kitesurfing community @Barong!
Mika interviews professional riders, shares information about the Duotone brand, tells you about unique destinations, and shares how the community can help with sustainability for the future generation!
Mika was born in Oct of 2006 in Jericoacoara, Brasil. At thirteen, she began competing professionally on the Kitesurfing World Tour and has won all World Tour events to date.
She is a three-time World Champion and, during the pandemic of 2020, she won all of the events put on by the GKA, but there was not a World Champion crowned that year.
Her mother is American, and her father is Brazilian. She is bilingual and studies online via an American high school. She is fluent in both Portuguese and English; however, English is considered her Native Language.
