I find it interesting that the piano part is played only with the left hand. The musicians are great. Every classical radio station should add this to its playlist.
It‘s written for Paul Wittgenstein, a pianist who lost his right arm in WW1, but nevertheless continued his career. He commissioned many composers to write for „left hand piano“. Korngolds Piano Concerto for the left hand is also written for Paul Wittgenstein as is Ravels Concerto, which is played more often.
