Definitely check out her debut album 'Camila'.
What im writing is based of what Camila has been saying when talking about these songs.
She wrote most of this album last year when she was in a relationship with Matthew Hussey, but they broke up in the beginning of this year (they dated for a a little more than a year). Now she’s dating Shawn who has been friends with her since 2014. Camila and Shawn have a complicated story that involves being friendzoned, being too young (they met when they were 17&16), wrong timing, and other things, but they both admitted they always had crushes on each other.
Shameless is about her admitting to herself she’s in love with Shawn while recording the señorita music video.
Living proof is about being intimate with your significant other (she wrote it when she was with Matthew)
Should’ve said it is about Shawn admitting his feelings for her too late (when she was with matthew), he wrote some songs about her in his last album (why, because i had you, mutual, when you’re ready, if i can’t have you) admitting his feelings.
My oh my is a mystery.
Señorita is in the midst of them starting their relationship.
Liar is about her lying to herself saying she didn’t like Shawn.
Bad kind of butterflies is about her telling Matthew she’s in love with Shawn.
Easy is about being loved despite her flaws (wrote while with Matthew)
Feel it twice is about her telling Shawn she couldn’t feel the same anymore after he told her he loved her.
Dream of you is probably about Matthew because she wrote it when she was with him.
Cry for me is about a relationship she had when she was a teenager saying the guy moved on too fast after they broke up (probably Austin Mahone)
This love is a mystery, but it could probably be about Shawn cause he couldn’t make up his mind at the time. (not sure though)
Used to this is about getting used to being more than friends with Shawn after they started dating.
First Man is about her dad.

She has mentioned that romance is messy. She ordered the tracklist so that you go through a roller coaster of emotions. During the making the album she was in love, fell out of love and found love. Love is messy and as Bad Kind of Butterflies goes... finding love after losing it was messy. She said Cry for Me is the only one that has nothing to do with the present. It was from a concept when when she was 16 from her first stab at dating lol
A lot of these songs are about Shawn and how they were very close friends while having feelings for each other but never confessed. But when Shawn finally told her he loves her she was in a relationship with Matthew and she didn’t feel the same to was conflicted. You should listen to Shawn’s album as he also has some songs about her.

Should've Said It is definitely about Shawn specially if you listen to the lyrics in the bridge "i knew it was you from the very first night and it took you two years to make up your mind"
Eden Gallagher they were a thing back when I know what you did last summer dropped but never officially an item because neither of them admitted to wanting to date. They spent years pining over each other in their songs until Shawn finally mustered up the courage to tell her his feelings while she was with Matthew and she was left confused because she loved Matthew and was over Shawn. After a while and I think working on Señorita she developed feelings for Shawn again.

Apparently she had strong feelings for Shawn 2 years ago, but he wouldn’t reciprocate her feelings. He was writing songs about her on his last album, and when he confessed her feelings to her she was with her ex, and passed off bc “why not say this 2 years ago?”. Her feelings for him came back while making señorita, which confused her. It’s in intense album lol

I HAVE BEEN WAITING! This is a blessing lolz BTW in my opinion Camila pandered to the radio. This panders to the fans..particularly us longstanding Shawmilla fans. Both albums are solid but I love Romance so much more and I'm already strapped for project 3 lolz.

She worked hard by writing songs trying to perfect her weaknesses (dancing ) changed up melodies and keys adding signature runs etc.
she stood out because while the other girls had soulful voices she had a melodic natural autotune sound.
It was always clear that she had the IT Factor Demi Lovato even pointed it out on X factor.
She knew how to build a relationship with her fans etc..

She is not weird and awkward. She is very real, honest and goofy and still an introvert at heart. She doesn't take herself seriously and just says her heart out and that is what I love about her the most. Most artists are still living in a pretense but she is so sure of herself

So far listening to some of the album (spotify shuffle shenanigans) my top 2 is definitely "My Oh My" but most importantly "Should've Said It". I love how upbeat sexy tone this two have😵
