Sound design reel
Let me know if you would be interested in a sound design tutorial series where I go more in depth about these Max patches!
I'll recreate them in Pure Data for the tutorials too.
Edit (September 2023): First video in the series is out now!
je i want to know all of it
@@barnabastoth6230 The plan is to start with these 6 scenes!
I think this would be super awesome!
@@Tonestrom Good to hear! Thanks!!
Sound Design is a topic which lacks well made resources. I'd even pay for it if done in Max/MSP.
Woah, it's crazy to think that this is all just synthesis and digital effects, no samples. Really inspiring! I'm really looking forward for the tutorials!
I hope to start making the tutorials soon! Thanks!!
I feel like my learning curve is getting higher and higher since I follow your channel.
Great job as always, my friend. Can't wait for the pure data tutorial!
The scream one! I'm struggling with such a thing for ages now !
Yeaaaah, that one took a while to get right, but I'm really happy with the result. Definitely deserve a video of its own!!
LOVE this, keep going!

Thank you!!
Very cool! Good showcase of how useful visual programming methods are in game design.
Thank you!! Yeah, I found it useful for creating very specific sound designs. And it's suited for creating variations of a sound (e.g. every laser sound is different).
Would be awesome to get such tutorials man! Thanks!
Great!! Thanks for your interest!!
this squeal breaked my femur, be careful in next time when working with Max!

Hey Sam!! Thank you so much for the kind words!
I learned a lot from your tutorials ever since I started using Max. I referenced your kick drum synthesis video for all the thud sounds in this reel for example.
Great work🌃🌃

Wow! That sounds so cool! Loving this channel and all the valuable tutorials that you give to us. Thanks :D
Question: did this tutorials can work with PD or MaxMSP has unique features that left PD behind?
I referenced a Pure Data sound design book a lot when I made this sound design tool actually! I'll be including both Max and Pure Data in the sound design tutorial series!
@@SoundSimulator amazing! Can't wait :D Thank you so much
Loving this bro! Waiting for the tuts.
Quick question: What's the sound design book you used for reference? Or any related books u think are good for a beginner
Designing Sound by Andy Farnell is a book that I heavily referenced when I made this reel. It uses Pure Data.
@@SoundSimulator Thank you! Will be looking forward for the series 🫶
i hope you get into RNBO too
Yeah! I have been meaning to get it. It looks awesome.
Are all of these possible in pd with the same effort, or is Max more "advanced"? Have you tried implementing pd in games already?
I'm planning on doing both!!
@@SoundSimulator awesome, I’m looking forward to it 🔥
PLS
