April 1 Update! I checked this morning, and you can still purchase combo tickets! I'm not sure if they changed their minds or moved the date, but it seems you can still purchase them for now. This is great news!
I got mine (for april 20) a few days ago, and checked today after seeing your video and they are still available. So even if they arent "supposed" to be for sale, I hope there are no issues for me.
I hope so too. I tried today for a date in May and couldn’t buy any tickets. It’s so weird.
I messaged hticket and they said my ticket is valid so I won't have issues. I checked a few dates in April and they're still for sale.
I got mi combo ticket yesterday for May 31st. I'm glad they changed their minds.

Thank you for your great sharing as always. I will be visiting in mid April. I have been told that April is shoulder season and typically not that 'crowded' as compared to summer, but judging from your video, it seem the season has just started I guess?
It seems so! Lots of people here already but not as bad as summer.

We have friends coming to Athens in September and this info and links are a great help. Too bad the combo ticket for multiple sites is going away :( I wasn't aware of that.
Keep checking because as of today it still is an option.
I took the lift up last year because I've got a pacemaker and they let me. The vista is fabulous.
Did you have to arrange it in advance or show any paperwork?

You’re welcome. It’s warm during the day but can be cool at night. Definitely check the weather a few days before you arrive.

Hey. Sorry to say that I think they aren’t great in general. I’m not a fan. If it’s a good option for you depends on what you want to do while here.
@agirlandherpassport Thank you for your quick response. It wasn't my original plan either. But someone had mentioned it's a good way to see multiple islands. But after watching your videos I think I will do the ferry route. We will have 10+ days to explore
@@daniboo9956 You're welcome. They don't give you enough time to really see much on the islands though. It is only good if you think you will come back and explore one you liked on the cruise. You can totally do it on the ferries yourself. It may seem daunting, but it's totally doable.

No, those are two separate tickets. The museum isn’t run by the state.
Thank you for the info. Great video.! I checked on trying to buy tickets and I found Acropolis & 6 Archaeological Sites Ticket & Audio Tours on get your guide for $108. Are these sites legitimate? I thought combo tickets would not be available.
Yes, Get Your Guide is legitimate and the tours run through them. It seems for now you can buy them. Not sure if something has changed. I am waiting to see what happens on April 1.
We just tried to book for early june and it let us put combo tickets in the cart but said our cart was empty when we went to check out. When we tried for individual tickets to the agora and library they said they were unavailable. So we just ended up with the acropolis and slopes. Hopefully we can get into the other sites day of.
That is strange. Did you try to purchase them again? It might have been a glitch. I wouldn’t worry about the Agora and the library. They aren’t as busy as the Acropolis so it should be fine.

No, you can’t buy them for after April 1. The site won’t let you. At least the direct site. Not sure about the tour guide sites. They might be handling it differently.

I just bought a combined ticket on the official website you linked in the description for April 4th.
I did have some technical difficulties at first with the cart being shown as empty or having to enter my e-mail address and country of residence several times but finally I was able and they e-mailed me my ticket.

After dealing with some technical difficulties on their official website you linked in the description, I just bought a combined ticket for April 4th. Maybe the combined ticket can still be purchased for a later date as far as it is purchased before April 1st?!
My questions - I chose 8AM-9AM slot on April 4th. Is that time slot only for Acropolis and Slopes and I can visit other places whenever?
I will land in Athens late on the 2nd of April and wanted to spend the first day (3rd) just strolling around and visiting Ancient Agora and Temple of Zeus. Can start using the combined ticket on the 3rd of April or only after I first visit Acropolis on the 4th?
Maybe. Sometimes they change their mind about things and don’t say anything. I will check after April 1. Yes, that time is for the Acropolis only. You can visit the other sites before but I think you only have five days once you use it the first time. Does the ticket not indicate how many days you have to use it?

It says it is valid until the 8th of April but I will be leaving Athens to go to Nafplio and Monemvasia on the 5th. It seems they are counting the 1st day out of the 5 from the time slot I chose to visit Acropolis. :(
They will probably not let me visit the first two sites the day prior to my visit to Acropolis?

you have to enter through the main entrance (there is no access to the elevator through southern one) to be able to access the elevator for disabled visitors
I bought my tickets from the official site (I hope). I got an order received email, but not any actual tickets. Do you know when should expect to get the actual tickets?

I have a combined ticket for may 17th with the time set on pm12:00-pm13:00. As it is a combined ticket, can I still use it at any other time to go to other archeological sites?
Yes, the timed entry is for the Acropolis only.

There is only one combo ticket in Athens. The tours might offer others but I don’t know the specifics on those.

I would imagine they would still honor it. Did you purchase it directly from the official site?

It should list it if is included or not. It is best to check. The ones I check do include it.

Can you take a stroller up? I am going next week and have a 1 year old with me. Should I just carry her ?
There are stairs to get in so a stroller might be hard. I would carry her if possible.
there is also an elevator to go to the top. If you dont mind missing out on all the stuff on the way up

I believe so. They didn’t change the discounts to my knowledge.

You just walk up and they hand you a ticket. There isn’t any pre bookings for it. It will be crowded that day though.
