Justice & Pride - Prologue & Chapter 1

- Time for another romhack.
The prologue is a little iffy given the map intro and having to lose a unit by plot, well at least losing the unit immediately isn't as bad compared to investing lots of time and effort on certain characters, like Siegfried in TLP.
Anyway, the prologue itself is basically a FoW version of the one in FE8, with a nigh-invulnerable prepromote and your basic lord. Here, it's actually better to let Donovan solo and get all the EXP (also take all of Travis' stuff before defeating the boss). Since this is my first playthrough, so wasted EXP, oh well.
In chapter 1, you get 3 more units that surprisingly have better growths than the one you just lost, so I guess it evens out. Nothing too difficult here, but I prefer to train up my other units instead of letting Donovan solo, so it takes a little longer.
---
Once again, I'd like to know hints for the next chapters, like what to look out for, secret shops or any hidden events that will reward bonus stuff.
I enjoy your playthroughs,so here are a couple pointers:
Bows are buffed in this hack, by having same mt as axes and even higher hit than swords, plus Mini Bows and buffed Longbows.
Some unique and cool promotions, like the Harrier (pegasus w/ anima&lances), Spartan (infantry w/ lances&swords), Witch (flying shaman w/ light&dark), Dark Knight (mounted shaman w/ dark&staff), and Malig Knight (wyvern w/ dark&lances). To note for strength/magic split, both scale off POW. No summoners, but a ballistician lol
Units with singular weapon type (Berserkers, Swordmasters, Snipers) get +15 crit. Assassins get Death Blow instead, so +20 crit on player phase, and Halberdiers get neither because idk
Unit balance is quite nice, no real duds, although it's more high bases and growths so they're likely to cap their good stats anyway.
Enemy quality is high, and almost every one of them has some kinda trick up their sleeve (Reavers,Effective Weapons,Luna,Silvers). The hack eases you in, but it does get more difficult.
Also, I hope you like siege weapons, cause the creator sure does!
I'd say the most well known choice/concept comes in the form of three blue flames at the end of Chapter 15. You may pick one skill only with one unit: Critical Force (Base Crit = Sklx1.5), Bowrange +1 or Re-Move (Lck% to act again)
Here's a list of Secret Shops and their chapter (but not their exact location :P): Attack at Sea (Ch.14); A Common Foe (Ch.18) (?); Autumn's Last Rain (Ch.22); Ruined Capital (Ch.25); Center of Chaos (Ch.28). Look for unique terrain/corners :)
Lots of cussing in this FE hack.
Huh, I was aware that Travis was a decoy protagonist, but I can't say I expected him to get merc'ed like that. He just kinda took it, even with 'forbidden magic' in the mix (bet you anything this binding spell will never be mentioned or used again :3)
Hey, I just started this romhack a few days ago!
By the way, I know you're just starting this one, but I really recommend Sun God's Wrath
That's the song from Super Metroid theme Maridia stage.
" I'm pretty sure that Metal Gear Solid music right there." - Mangs said that.
"Irona suffers from the wrath of a great empire."
*shows all the countries in Magvel*
Yeah ngl, the second I saw that when I played it, I had to stop or else I would've died from laughing too hard.
5:39 You would be right, aside from the endgame.
Recruits are generally good and I remember the prepromotes being quite solid too.
You went for reverse mode, bold choice. Aderyn can still get op enough for it to feel like normal mode lol.
Melinda and her brother have some history with one of the enemies later so I would recommend sticking with one of them at least.
Wait a minute. This rom sounds familiar. The 2nd main character Travis' sister, I heard that name before. How could I forget. If I remember correctly a dark truth is revealed later but I don't remember what.
11:33 Travis tempting fate and I can see an Entombed, an Elder Bael, a Cyclops, and two Gorogns alongside the one behind the monsters
You'd think it would be a waste of EXP giving the kills to the Jagen, so it would be better for the lord character to get as much as EXP from the prolouge, right? WRONG! Donovan keeps all the EXP while every single EXP on Travis is wasted. So having Donovan get the EXP from the prologue is still better than nothing.
I see thesiazo and the next FE hack playthrough and I click on it fast!
Good luck on Reverse mode!
It has been a while playing this hack, hopefully you can enjoy it siaoz!
Anyways there's an unique feature from this hack, it's called tactic. You will see it on the menu when you want to end the turn early. It explains all kind of info about what you can get and maybe some information about the enemy too in that chapter.
Good luck with this one there two or three chapters that is completely bull crap
What a mess. Felt like Travis was the main character but he went down faster than Siegfried in the last promise. Except the difference is in chapters
Man, i have been sleeping on this hack, i played it long ago but left it at some early point, i need to complete it this time now that you made me remember it
Sad that Prince Travis died too soon. He was the Lord. 😢
How do you get to see the growth rates if I could know since that would help
woah
prologue *and* chapter one
that's like double the content
Aderyn is Brown haired Karla. Pretty.
Here we go. GL on your new adventure!
Welcome back. Gonna learn this FE hack from you.
Welcome back.
Cheese and rice, Reverse mode? Huge disadvantage even with high difficulty
Im doing it currently in reverse too... GL too the journey thesiaoz
Geez even Donovan is among those units that don't get much experience points
Welcome back
I remember this one, it came out around the time when febuilder released and helped the romhacking process tremendously. Pretty sure that 2020-2021 had more romhacks completed than 2010-2019.
This game is VERY breakable quite easily, so Lunatic Reverse is pretty much the only way to get some form of challenge from it. Story wise, I can't really say much of note about outside of having a solo female lord and having a LOT of side projects that I don't know if they ever got completed (There was a Book 2 and a gaiden game in the works).
The tactics option on the menu was inspired by Advance Wars: days of ruin and it basically gives you tips and tricks how to complete the chapter
IIRC the Book 2 (and maybe the Gaiden one) part was cancelled before being remade... And after being remade it was cancelled once again, this time indefinitely.
That was good gameplay like Mangs who he played Justice and Pride 4 years ago. link in his description - ua-cam.com/play/PLtQwvs0YaimKkfzgupKdjlJ343ZKTMZ1z.html. Unlike he played same strats, I want you to train Melinda and Leon more experienced until lvl.20 and promoted whatever you need like Hero/Spartan and FalcoKnight/Harrier Knight. They need to talk to their Father, Walter(aka Warrior enemy) who cannot recruited but to give them as a gift in Chapter 19. Don't forget. They need it.
