MOST UNDERRATED BAND OF ALL TIME! You need to react to other stuff, old and new. They never cease to impress
Your comment has 33 likes, I can't in good faith be the 34th
@@romo_lampkin I see what you did there
@@romo_lampkinthumbed it and then literally took it off after reading your comment 😂
I'm burning that star brother @@romo_lampkin
I have seen them 14 times and 2 tats. I agree 🤣🤣🤣
Been listening to this band for over 20 years now they have such a vast catalog of good songs
Agreed. Found them in in 2002. Fan ever since. Hard Rock Tulsa Sept 5!
@@ryanwilliams7462 Also been listening to them since 2002! Wow just saying that makes me feel old lmao
Feel old?? Just old. Lol
With Coheed, you HAVE to listen to at least 3-4 different songs to try to garner an understanding of their sound. It’s so incredibly varied.
Ladders of supremacy, the dark sentencer, liars club, a disappearing act, welcome home, a favor house atlantic , in keeping secrets , ten speed, the list can go on forever of how many bangers this band has
Literally this
Apollo 1, major slapper
@@realitycheck439 thats the first Coheed album.i bought
@ontaranormal2261 first for me was in keeping secrets. A favor house Atlantic was the first song I ever heard by them. I was in middle school. Saw them a few times growing up. Flash forward im now 34 and got to see them with my wife twice!
@@realitycheck439 im 32 now first song i heard was Blood Red Summer. Im not a concert guy so ive never been to a show but every one of their songs is an absolute masterpiece. My favourite used to be Welcome Home then it was the Dark Sentencer now im between Ladders of Suppremacy and the The Joke lol
Coheed is my favorite band. They have such a varied catalog.
Great reaction, glad you dug it. I definitely recommend checking out their track The Crowing!
Ive always loved the bit at 6:26. Its like, hey claudio you want layers? Yes. How many? YES.
More coheed👍
More Coheed please. Anything you want, it's all amazing.
Coheed is a 20 year old band and all but 1 of the albums are connected to the singer's sci-fi concept, which he later fleshes out in books and comics. They are prog rock first and foremost, so the emo confusion is pretty common. They have many influences over 11 (currently) albums, including jazz and love ballads. Many of the songs are unique as they reference things, places, and characters that you would have to dig a little deeper to fully understand, but what is understandable upfront is the desperate hopefulness and other emotions that Claudio can sing and put into lyrics. He's one of the most underrated lyricists of his time, and his use of the dipthong allows him to use words in ways others can't. It also doesn't hurt that all the members of the band, former and current, are master's of their instruments. This is technically one of the bands' simpler songs IMO, and if you dig in some more, you might find yourself a fellow CoTF.
Describing them and the feeling of their lyrics as desperate hopefulness is perfect
CO/CA is way older than 20 years old, especially if you go all the way back to the band Shabutie
I think Coheed and Cambria are at their best when they go full futuristic concept mode
This music video was my introduction to Coheed and Cambria when I watched it on my brother's OG Psp. They've been my favorite band ever since. Claudio Sanchez's voice is not exactly what you'd call, "Ordinary" when compared to others in the industry. The only other vocalist that sounds similar, would be Geddy Lee (Rush) in my opinion. Also, the Whole Story of Coheed and Cambria was written by Claudio and has a series of graphic novels/books to help provide more context to the universe he created. Also, he was on an episode of Game Grumps years ago to play Star Wars Battlefront (2015), and expressed his love for the Star Wars universe as a whole. If I remember correctly, the story of Coheed was heavily inspired by various science fiction films including, but not limited to, Star Wars and Alien. Another fun fact is that their song "Welcome Home" was used in the promotional material for the movie "9". Coheed and Cambria/Claudio are criminally underrated and deserve so much more success than they've had. COTF (Children of the Fence) for life. 🤟
Thank you mate. I would have write all that but, damn, so much text jhahah
Ah, I almost forget, Welcome Home was the intro song for NXT Wresling (A WWE show) back in 2014/2015
Absolute banger of a band, so many amazing songs
And then they went on to rock and melt faces!!!
Love these guys, please do more because you will be so surprised
TAKE THE DIVE GIRL & WELCOME TO ‘THE FENCE’ 🤘🏻🔥🍻
Individually the members of coheed are some of the best in their field. Collectively they are the modern day equivalent of beethoven or mozart. This shi is art.
lol
They were late to stage at warped tour in VA Beach way way back! They came out on stage unexpectedly since we were waiting and played welcome home first! The crowd immediately went from WTF to motioning without remembering they were late!
Claudio is one of the best singers of all time. To take it in a completely different direction, I'm a lawyer and one of the most basic rules of law is to never ask a question you don't know the answer to..."so when the answer that you want..."
The suffering by coheed is one of my favorite songs ever
the lead singer has a few live vocal videos he's a great singer
"I like when my brain is wrong" - Ray
that line. made me laugh, "emo like escape the fate" girl put ur head on straight, coheed is one of escape the fates idols!!
You should check out his solo acoustic version of The Gutter
If you like this, you should check out some of their newer stuff, like The Gutter, or Unheavenly Creatures.
Coheed is not emo!!. Progressive Rock at the highest level. Coheed fuckin rules
I believe that Coheed and Cambria should always be listened to live. For example, the live version of Blood Red Summer from Night 2 of their Neverender shows is by far the best performance of this song. You also get the AMAZING audience participation because Coheed is one of those bands that is famous enough that the shows are usually in the venues that hold a good amount of people, but they are small enough where just about everyone there is a big fan. Those facts added to them being a great live band makes their shows amazing.
I like the chorus of this one a lot. We often find answers to our questions in the act itself. The realization that our reality is such, no matter how much we try to wonder why. That's echoed later in "what did I do to deserve this?" Songs always been about acceptance of ones circumstances, imo. Come what may.
Please check out more of their stuff. It does not disappoint
You really have to check out the light and the glass by coheed. Lots of variation and deep lyrics in that one.
Questions aren't stated, they're asked, which is why I love this lyric. The "question-stater" didn't want the answer that they already had
MOOOOARRRRR!!!!
I played this song to death when it came out. I still think it may be their best song. Also, if you're familiar with the Rush song, Anthem, check out, on UA-cam, the "Coheed and Cambria + Mastodon + Primus + Tool + Mutoid Man Cover RUSH’s “Anthem”
First song I heard of theirs and kind of turned into a guilty pleasure of mine. They are good at subverting expectations 🤣 Insteresting Fact; Thier music eveloved along side a comic book series they make called The Amory Wars.
We are one among the fence!
Please please do more Coheed!!! His voice is so amazing.
Greatest band out currently!
When you look like sepultura and sound like a 90s pop punk band
2:13; right right. Coheed are not really emo. BUT because they were one of the early bands in the “emo” movement… they automatically got lumped into the whole emo band trend. They got popular around the same time all the actual emo punk bands were starting to get popular. But alas Coheed’s not really emo… but his voice kind of is haha. Coheed is unique in its style! Since they’re like a whole concept band, more metal than emo, et cetera et cetera.
Time Consumer by Coheed is another to review such a good groove
I hope someone explained that the lyrics are all convoluted because its about a comic story that the lead singer wrote lol. The band and songs are all amazing, if you want a more rounded representation of his voice go for "Welcome Home", or "in keeping secrets of silent earth 3" thank you for the great video as always!
You need to listen to "welcome home" from coheed.
No. That's the single most over-reacted to song in their catalogue.
She should listen to other songs like Feathers, Gravemakers and Gunslingers, A Favor House Atlantic, Jessie's Girl 2, Running Free or The Suffering.
@@TimedRevolver She needs to listen to all 4 The Willing Well songs!
Listen to a couple songs from every album. They are all so unique
This was a song I listened to all the time in like high school... I'm 34 now. They are such an AMAZING band !! Check out " the liars club " it's a newer song of theirs and it's Soo Dope !!
Finally Coheed..
• Everything Evil
• In keeping sexrets silent earth 3
• the gutter
• gravitys union
• searching for tomorrow
• Far
Recomended songs:
the Gutter - original and acoustic
Welcome home
Dark side of me
Holly Wood the Crack
God send conspirator
Feathers
Here to Mars
A favor house Atlantic
woooo coheed
Love this song
Claudio has one of those unique voices like Ozzy
Awesome band
MOAR COHEED!!!!!
As someone already said.... this is a concept band... read the comics that claudio has written... its about his life
Been listening to Coheed since they broke out. There's a lot process, and you grab your face and ask "How the fuck does someone write that?" Just a hint. Most of their albums are one big story. Probably the best story telling musicians I've ever seen
Early coheed including this song are often considered emo well before what many people in the 2000s think emo is. Closer to 80s/90s influence.
MORE COHEEEEED!!!!!
All of coheed and cambria songs except for one album are based on a comic book called the Amory Wars. The series is written by the lead singer.
Gotta get to Protest the Hero. Rodys voice is absolutely ridiculous. From the Sky or sequoia throne are great starting points.
More coheed!!!
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
More Coheed please!
Whoa oh whoa ah oh whoa oh
I reccomend The Mars Volta - Cicatriz Esp. It's got some crazy funk to it. Flea plays bass and John Frusciante adds some guitar and synth tracks.
Yay Coheed reactions that aren't Welcome Home!
Please, take a look slipknot - eyeless, live at download festival 2009, pleeease!
Do another Coheed Reacts!!
atleast he got his friends back
i know it’s basically a meaningless point but for anyone curious the red in place of white sclera is to represent the Monstarr virus (which in this band’s lore is essentially a rabid space zombie virus)
Coheed literally has 100+ good songs
FUN FACT: NXCRE and The Villains sound like Coheed and Cambria
🎸🤘🏼
Escape the fate is what you think of when you hear the word Emo?
Ah you young child you
Top band easily
Watsica Throughway
You know this is based on a comic....
Hoppe Forest
Escape the Fate should never be anybodies metric for 'classic emo' lol. good reaction though! coheed rocks!
Welcome home please
Man, her stream comments in the beginning of the video gave zero shits about her and just wanted her to hurry up. Wonder what that was all about.
8814 Aida Isle
You like Type-O-Negative. You should react to Black No. 1. I would love to see that! :)
Lamb of god laid to rest
Ahh you enter the CoCa realm. Your comments will now be flooded by the fence
Welcome Home. Do it.
The Running Free, A Favor House Atlantic.
2908 Koch Square
listen to feathers next, it is even better
novocaine too close to touch reaction plise
Devil in Jersey city
What's crazy is that this isn't even coheed hahaha there are so many better songs and I mean, albums of songs that portray their eclectic niche in music. This is just as strange a starting point as welcome home would be... Not to mention, you need to hear The Dear Hunter they are phenomenal and id suggested listening to coheed by album track one to the end starting from their first album
This is Progressive Rock or “Prog Rock”. Idk why they said it was emo. Lmao.
Alexandra Parkways
Im back! And still no saint asonia
hi crush :)
I love so many bands, BUT COHEED destroyes most ALL in skills 😊
you're thinking way too hard to understand a guys thoughts. You might be right, but you took way too many paths to get there. To us guys this is literally a survive and escape theme.
Welcome home was their best song, I listened to their catalog, and it was the only song I liked. Was thoroughly disappointed.
My dude they're not emo, they're prog
They're rock. Not necessarily any one genre.
Good god this is terrible 😅
Boooo.
@@Coaler73 agreed, boo
The light and the glass is a very good song but there are plenty listen to the first four albums and see what you think hopefully react to some for the coheed and Cambria fans
