Hi Safwan, this is the solution for a typical problem which previously appeared in university question paper..
Every reservoir is designed to have a specific capacity based on many factors like demand, inflow, other functions of the dam, maximum probable flood, spillway capacity, etc..

Hi Zaheen, The questions usually ask in this manner only. Otherwise it cannot be solved within the given time.
Since the variation of precipitation repeats annually, the inflow & demand can be expressed as monthly, weekly, daily, etc. for an year.
