Does That HITTING DRILL Work?

The whole purpose of “practice” is to prepare you to perform, in the real event. As a former player, I used to do “hitting drills” to help prep for the baseball game. It didn’t take long to realize that some of these drills didn’t transfer into the game. So, I stopped doing those drills. Today, as I look back to when I was a player, the BEST HITTING DRILL that helped me to prep for the game was practicing hitting while a pitcher was throwing from the same realistic pitching delivery I would see in a game. Why was this more effective? Because seeing a real game-like pitcher helped me to directly exercise my HITTING PERCEPTION!
