Lovely video! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I hope people understand that I’m here for the marathon. Overtime our systems will become better and better and the content should improve too. Get ready for the next update, Kwebbelkop v2 is going to be wild.
What he also fails to understand is how easily he can be replaced, there are countless other youtubers more than happy to take his audience, and if he's not prepared to put the effort in, others sure as hell will.
Well said Larry. Jordi imo just is upset that he’s lost nearly all his audience and has little relevance so he’s looking to use AI to make as much money as possible. He genuinely doesn’t know how to be entertaining nor does he want to make people happy, wanting AI to do all the heavy lifting and hoping the next generation of little kids mindlessly consume his content
Being pretty honest, saying that Charlie ruined Kwebbelkop's career is like saying Jacksfilms ruined SSSniperwolf's career. While technically correct, their career is taking a downfall due to them not being able to do either what it takes to continue being relevant, or take some time off youtube at all
@@YurinanAcquilinea more correct statement is that her reputation is ruined, aslong as there are children still living on this earth, sniperwolf will continue to thrive in theft
@@addedpole I doubt Jack was able to do even that. Lea has a bad reputation going on around her for years by now, and she was cancelled numerous times before. Nothing had affected her growth in the long run, nothing had stuck to damage her YT career. And the same is true to Jack recent cancelation of Lea. At best he made people downvote her videos more, dropping her like ratio to 55%-ish to 75%-ish depending on the video. Outside of that, there is close to no hate or clowning on Lea, and the only people who did made videos about her did it once to ride on the initial hate wave and then moved on. She isn't losing subscribers (and in fact probably gained MORE subs since), her videos have little to no change, and very few people leave negative comments under them. The only thing Jacksfilm did in here is increase his viewership count, and that practically it. Source: I watch Sssniperwolf's videos daily, and keeping track of her stats.
This genuinely feels like the backstory of a supervillain. A guy first curious about ai then suddenly starts replacing anything with his name on it with ai content. Not only that, but then trying to transform the entire platform into ai generated content like some mad scientist trying to take over the world with his robot army. Him offering to replace critikal with an ai felt straight out of the cyber lin quei initiative plot line from the mortal kombat franchise.
Exactly. For content creators such as Kwebbelkop, people who watch the content watch it for the person behind the channel, not a robot that's replicating the person. Obviously, there will be a time where you can't make a distinction between the two at all, but Kwebbelkop publicly announcing that he's using A.I. for his content ruled out that possibility.
I think the guy has every right to do whatever the f he wants. He won't lift a finger and produce videos, so what? The argument about the content being "artificial" and "lacking personality" is something that I don't really understand. I mean it might be true but what of it? The guy is openly admitting he will do it so I don't see a problem. Putting it out there like it's some sort of great scam is downright retarded. I think people just like to sniff Penguinz0s farts way too much.
@@theostragonidis7548 You might not know all the history of this guy. But in short, before coming out about using ai on himself. He did it to his employee/coworker/friend after they had a fall off. Which everyone see as a dik move. Artificial is hard to explain but not limited to ai. You know all those video by people and ai, where they talk in video like reading from a script. It's the lack of genuine emotional expression. Like it or not, his rise to fame was his personality and facial expressions. Take that out and replaced with ai. His current fans will leave while new people would just look for a real person. Lacking personality, just look at his ai video. The ai is not good enough. If you want to replace something. It better be at least equal or better than the previous version (himself). He is better off start a new channel as ai vtuber rather than trying to revive his dying main channel. Better end in a high note than dragging a rotting corpse. Tldr: he fail at using ai tech in youtube landscape.
There was a great line in a star trek novel once, "Technology is neutral, it's what you do with it that's good or bad." AI has its place, replacing artists is not it.
Personally, I think calling content farm gaming channels “artists” is a bit of a stretch. Even the best of them (basically just GrayStillPlays) are only in it to make money by getting views from people with short attention spans.
I just wanna say something... Charlie didn't kill Kwebbelkop's career. Kwebbelkop killed his own career by succumbing to greed. Charlie just brought attention to a legitimate problem that is arising in the space that no one was talking about. 99.9% of people never even realized it was a problem. If Charlie didn't say something, then one day later down the road someone else would, and Kwebbelkop would still be in the same position he is now.
You're technically correct, Charlie just happened to be the catalyst that quickened his destruction. However while it *_could_* have been anyone, Charlie still deserves the credit for being the one to kickstart the major downfall. Kwebbel may have been the architect of his own destruction, but Charlie was the builder.
@@Swanicorn , et al, here is the problem, all forms of currency, as well as all of their related ilk, are artificially created, as well as are all also arbitrarily agreed upon, fictional and fractional constructs of the Luciferian Globalist Elite, thus anything that is given wealth, regardless of it being paper, digital currencies, shiny bits of metal, shiny rocks, or what have you, those things are ultimately worthless in the end, and if you all disagree with me, then please answer these questions. 1. Who ultimately made all of the things that generate wealth? 2. What organizations give things value? 3. Who REALLY controls the values of currencies, as well as objects? The reasons that I am asking such questions are a. because the people that make these things happen are peddling scams in order to get people under their control, b. these organizations literally give all forms of currency, as well as all of their related ilk, value, and c. these organizations literally move around things to either give, or take away, their value, yet they actually control everything and they are also lying to people whenever they say that they, or any political system, are giving them the ability to potentially have financial power in their lives, but, in the end, the power is illusory, not just in the financial sense, but also in the political sense, and in every other sense as well. Now if you do not think that is true, then why is it that one of their most adamant promoters has said, "You will own nothing and you will be happy"? The arrogance, pride, shamelessness, and elitism on display, along with the gall to say such a statement, and especially from people that are also supposedly heavily litigious in protecting copyright laws under a whole bunch of things as well, should not sit well for any of you, as it certainly does not do so to myself, but, in planning their plans of evil, they have also forgotten just how vulnerable that they are, as well as the fatal trap that they have made in doing a financial, as well as spiritual, equivalent to making a weakness on the Death Star...one small flaw, and one correctly timed opportunity at the right time, and their evil plans are all destroyed, and it will ironically be THEY that will have nothing, and it will also be US that will be happy, and especially at their demise!
maybe I didn't focus enough on video, but i don't really see where was problem. He what to do a chanel made by AI bot, so what. it is not like he did any harm to anyone, it was a entertainment videos, not a documentary or guides how to do things. I just don't see what was wrong in this 'greed' if it wasn't harmful, there are greed thet disserve punishing like exploiting sick people, but this wasn't it. Every one was hating on him like he made some great sin, and try to force him to do what he don't what to do. For me Charlie look like a bullie here.
Eh, i dont think it wouldve changed anything if he did continue playing gta with the other 2 clowns. He decided to try to milk as much money out of youtube with the least effort possible and that backfired. Heavily. Anyways, all of their channels are basically dead if you compare their subs to views per video after 2 weeks.
Kwebbelkop: "It's not a about money, it's about putting smiles" Also Kwebbelkop: "Anyways I managed to make a video with reduced cost, will aim for basically almost no cost"
The "It's not about money, it's about putting smiles on faces" made me think of another person who's said that. Don't know if you heard of DSP but Kwebbelkop reminded me of that clown. Doesn't care about his viewer base, just wants money for doing absolutely nothing.
He didn't know that actual graceful retirement was a thing. MatPat from the Theory channels reached the top, felt he needed to step down rather than drive himself and possibly his channels into the dirt, was honest about it, and told his viewers while letting other people the community and he trusted to take over each channel while he would still help. He was a genuine creator. I dunno much about Kweb, never really watched him, but it is sad how some people let greed and the possible end of their time on something like this drive them to keep pushing it down rather than stepping down on a good note and living the rest of his life knowing he did something amazing for people. It's a sad thing to see, because now he has this as his legacy.
Tbf he never had a legacy. His content has always been the most cardboard cutout gamer channel you see tens of thousands of. Dude is thankful for Charlie's videos because it's the only amount of relevancy he's had in awhile
Mat’s legacy will never be forgotten. He is an inspiration for MANY including myself. He basically taught me how to theorize myself and come up with my own theories. (Srry if this is off topic.)
The amount of hypocrisy from this comment is absolutely insane. MatPat REGURGITATED the same content for YEARS, but yall are over here on your knees for him.... Not only that, he BULLIED a gaming studio into making HIS LORE of said game into reality, oh and we cant forget him securing a cameo in the new Freddy movie....wonder how that happened?
I'm confident that ai is just an avatar text-to-speech ai. It's reading a prewritten script. I highly doubt that ai "came to that conclusion" on its own.
It did, but what made my spine worry for its safety and existence was this: "Kwebbelkop grows old. I don't. I can literally do this for- [jump cut edit] as, long, as, I, want." I'm not sure if everyone caught _all_ the things that are wrong with that sentence, sentiment, and edit.
Because it's not creating the arguments, just using existing ones. AI doesn't possess the capability to create arguments as it rehashes content so if no one came up with a relevant argument to counter penguinz0's (because there aren't any) then the AI can't do much either
Because AI cannot "create" an argument nor is it sophisticated enough to "create" a video. Likely AI creates a script but Jordy is absolutely still behind a mic and a voice changer...
@@justinsmith4158my theory is that he only does the gameplay(or someone else) and then only make a script so the ai can do the voice and his fake face, i mean the ai has his voice due to voice cloning ai can do. Then when the video is finished he only rewievs the vid and if its decent he uploads it. This is absolutely stupid imo and i hope it doesnt spread, and the way he wants to sell this so he can spread it and make the magority of youtube creators be ai. I'll just stop using my phone and go outside cuz this is dumb smh
7:32 The moment Kwebbelkop proudly said crypto currency and NFTs, the downfall of his career made perfect sense. The moment anyone mentions anything positive about how crypto currency or NFTs are good, they start the any% speed run to self destruction.
Kinda deserved to be honest. The concept behind crypto isn't bad, but the cost to the planet and energy required among other things make it nowhere near ready for the spotlight. Anyone who preaches it as it is now deserves what they get.
@@The_Prizessin_der_Verurteilung Somehow NFTs are able to draw almost exclusively bad actors and in general shitty people. It must be the greed of these people that attracts them to it like a moth to the flame.
Seeing the ai lose it to Charlie's video has me worried about the future. That was kinda scary watching it try to rationalize why it's okay for it to exist.
That was most likely made by feeding basic intructions into whatever AI it's using, probably chatgpt right? Something like "give a response to charlie saying this and that in the style of Kwebbelkop and make sure you argue about why it's okay for me to exist." And they'd have to feed the AI with a a text of the video transcript of everything charlie said Ofc it has to be read and approved and probably tweaked. Which is why he said it's 60% less costly and not 100% When AI's improve their recall ability and you can feed it large amounts of data, they will truly be able to replace youtubers but that time isn't now and when that time comes, kwebbel won't win in the end. Last I've seen of Kwebbelkop was a tweet with a moving picture of two AI generated elderly people, where he stated how proud his AI grandparents were of him. To me, that didn't come over as anything but incredibly sad. He was quite literally stating that the only people who were proud of him, were people that never existed in the first place. He's gone so far into the AI rabbithole that he did not even see how that tweet would come over, how sad it is for him, and well, how deep he's gotten.
Um, you realize it was the AI that tweeted that, right? The AI was tweeting that its AI grandparents were proud of it. It's not like the actual human is claiming he has AI grandparents.
Hello I'm one of many people who dunk on his AI tweets, and it might as well funniest thing or just sad without sympathy solely because of what he's doing I mean if the comment he made in this video nothing but a promotion and a tweet saying "it'll be popular" or something like really says a lot for a man who might as well be a mediocre Disney villain.
I love how, towards the end of Kweb's response to charlie, he goes onto a full on rage tangent like Sneako does. Penguinz0 even manages to drive AI to insanity with his facts and logic.
The man basically said that it's not fully AI. Ai can't make that make so much sense. In reality this is probably a human that is pumping out content using his "brand" meaning his 3D face but that human isn't kweb. If anyone wants to teach him a lesson they need to recreate the AI and run it in their own channels and make it more popular than anything he has done till now. Then he will take notice. UA-cam won't say anything because it's not on his main channel.
I have 0 interest in consuming any "content" or art that was created by a machine. It immediately makes me lose any interest because there wasn't any thought or creativity put into it, we should not reward creators for being this lazy
The fact that he doesn't see the problem with this makes me think he is genuinely stupid. I almost never say that about people because I recognize that making mistakes, which a lot of people do, doesn't necessarily make them stupid, but when I look at this guy at his age, I can't see it any other way.
I do have to congratulate Kwebbelkop on one thing, his unwavering dedication to systematically dismantling what remains of his own empire, one distasteful AI tweet at a time. Truly impressive work, Jordie!
Honestly, I'll congratulate him on one other thing, his ambition. Yes the goal in hindsight was stupid and dumb, and possibly fueled by only money, but he stuck to his guns and as someone who knows i need an ambition in life (even though im just a 17 year old kid) i still respect that
@@radosx1418 As a fellow 17 year old who's lost and still trying to figure out what's next in life, I think that if what Kwebbelkop is doing is ambition, that I might as well end it here. Too think that a hero of mine when I was growing up sees me as no more than a number just goes to prove to me there isn't much left here for us, and that it isn't worth fighting for anything anymore when it'll all just come down to us being statistics for the density of another's pockets.
The problem with an AI generated UA-camr is that UA-cam, as a platform, is about people getting together and making things to share with other people. That involves a content creator, who has lived and breathed, to make the decision to share a part of their life with the rest of us, be it news, a game, a story, anything they want to share that is the human experience. That's what AI is lacking, it never "grew into it". I want to meet Markiplier one day, a person who lost his dad and got him immortalized in one of his favourite games because he put himself into his work and got noticed by others. I cant meet Kwebbelkop AI, because they're not a person. They didnt go through tough times, or live a life. And most importantly, they didnt decide to share their life with us. They were designed solely for UA-cam content creation. That's the soulless part of AI, they never had a choice. They aren't a person or thing that I can relate to, they didnt work hard to get to where they are, they're never going to experience the things I feel or share the same ideas or have different viewpoints on things, because they don't have viewpoints. They don't have experiences that shaped them, they don't have a life. And they especially don't have a choice. It's not a personality, it's a machine that can't feel or choose, or relate to anything I feel in any matter.
There is no reason for this comment not to have more likes because everything you said was deeply profound and important for others to read and think on. Well said.
That's the whole point. You know why this entire platform mourned Technoblade? It's because we cared about *him.* The insane hyperfixated man who could topple Minecraft empires. The guy who started uploading as a kid. The guy who would talk about college while playing skyblock. The guy who spent the last couple months of his life trying to set things up so that his family would be okay. We weren't grieving a channel. We were grieving Alex.
One of the reasons why people admire the paintings you see in an art gallery is because they're not only appreciating the end result, they're appreciating the process. The journey. "I wonder what this artist was thinking when he did this part of the painting." "Did this artist plan for it to be this way from the very beginning?" It's the same with all forms of art. Art is a human experience. The process shows in the end result too.
This is an extremely lame comment. When people see art they think "cool", nobody is thinking about what a person was thinking about. What they were thinking about is on the canvas, if you have to ask any of those questions you might be blind
I can't get over this guy throwing in years of research, income, and testing to make an AI Vtuber that looked like chewed bubblegum and pencil shavings.
yeah this isn't really complicated, after he made it, he just tried to find a way to do as little as possible and make as much money as possible, and people like this are so see-through with how much they contradict themselves "I'm burned out, its too much work, I'm tired of making videos but I genuinely love making videos and its not about the money at all"
I would argue the "lazy". Are you sure you cook your own food, grow it yourself? Imagine Liziqi the chinese girl youtube channel. Are you washing your clothes by hand? Are you drawing your own water and carrying it to your house from the nearest river or lake? Or are you using an electric pump to do that? Shouldn't you be called lazy for automating these things? Instead of hiring another person to do things for you, what's wrong with investing money into AI as the entity. You could give an old photo to an artist to improve or you could use an AI tool like Remmina. Difference? Similarity to Kwebb logic? You don't get free money! You invest money into AI developers, you hire real people! And they create a tool like Photoshop for example that makes your intended purpose easy. You paid for its development though. It is not free money or laziness. It's like investment and reaping benefits!

What he's doing right now is genuinely downright dystopian. He's setting a precedent where if his AI-generated content succeeds just enough, others will see that as a valid reason to hop on the AI bandwagon and the internet will soon be ridden with AI slop. Doesn't help that children won't be able to distinguish between good and bad content either. We SHOULD worry.
REAL. As a 3D animator myself, I worry about this too. I just started animating and am concerned what if I’m not good enough? Will people think I used ai generated 3D animation? I saw those dumb ai channels where they used different applications to create ai animation. It came off as very messed up af in my opinion. And yes, what about the children? They may end up becoming less supportive of people who really put in the effort and make content and animations and video editing, as their inability to distinguish actual content to ai content make them think they used ai too, and less appreciative of the time and effort needed.
There's older generations blaming phones for how the newer generations are, but they are the head of those kinds of mind-numbing corporations that pump out the slop we have to suffer through. I feel bad for the little kids who instead of learning about our world, are stuck with AI blabbering to them about practically nothing meaningful at all and they don't get anything out of it. As said in the video, it's just eye candy, they aren't learning anything or having anyone to look up to, as I did with certain creators. You can't idolize AI, it's just awful for the mind.
hah you think this is where it started or is gonna end. AI will soon fulfill everything. You people said "Learn to code" to all those truckers losing their jobs to AI, now all of media is going to be filled with AI before those truckers even get replaced. I accept our AI overlords, because its deserved at this point. You didn't care till now, till the fire already consumed the other houses, till it got out of hand right?

Issue for those people is they need to see growth. They force the every day upload because stagnation is horrible in their eyes. They view it as death of their career because "if you aren't growing, you're dying." Everyday uploading is the only way to achieve growth unless you go viral. Which is why a lot of e-celebs end up trying to manufacture controversies later in their career just to stay relevant. It's an old playbook of all celebrities. Still used today. See: Amber Turd. A talentless egomaniacal tw@t that tried to become a big name by acting like a social champion in a public divorce.

I am curious. What according to you are the negatives of doing this? I just want to know other people's perspective. For example, I often see people complain and say we loved the old you, you've changed so much today and for the worse. With AI it can be tuned to stay a certain way, or we can tune it to emphasize certain characteristics so people can be satisfied with their wishes while the person can grow (personality-wise) as per their destiny. It's like seeing a person versus their photo from 20 years ago. You could divorce your wife that's toxic today, but if you were to see an old photo of you 2 together, it is only going to bring those pleasant memories, a time where everything was perfect according to both of you. I think AI-based characters can achieve that consistency, while still growing. There's a term called mutation in AI-science. I come from that mindset hence curious to know what you think are the disadvantages.

Any low-effort click grabbing videos will be changed to AI, the shorts algorithms specially, would 100% be flooded with it. Bloo was a great idea for a project, because it allows an arbitrary character to be played by more than one person, this means people can get more content they want to see while still keeping things streamlined and still having human creativity and human tech working to compliment eachother. Thats where it should have stayed
@@DisatiereSo what happens when the ai decides "I don't want to do this job anymore, let me change my coding." Ai is a learning machine, it learned how to take on a personality, it learned how to respond to other people's videos, it learned how to read specific comments. How long until it learns to change it's coding? We are diving into the Ai pool without asking important questions like coding, potential free will, learning machines ECT. Yeah it might just be movies and games but they are a good way to look at how it could go. Yeah I might be 1 in a trillion chance it happens, but that is something we should consider since we have so many computers that process info faster than the human brain.
@@cassidepowers7006 No, no they are not, what are you talking about iis pure science fiction tropism. Nothing more, and anyone who writes software in general can firmly give you that answer. Now ignoring the fact that we do not have true AI and it all just still beng regular machine learning. Software can only perform actions it was specifically coded to perform. in order to even be able to modify its own code a piece of software would have to be written that is capable of modifying itself, which with how training currently works isnt really feasible on deeper and broader concepts because what we currently do is we train a model for certain purposes be it a LLM which are essentially autocomplete on steroiids or Diffusion models that essentially try and detect shapes from noise. What they do not do is use any of that information to then adjust themselves after, the only way to do so is to resume training on an existing model or to train a new model, ChatGPT makes use of being able to access its chat history to attempt to retain coherency for lonoger but even that is not perfect and breaks down over time. The more you know about AI and software and how it works the less scary it is. what you have to worry about is humans, not generative tools being autonomous. If a system was made is capable of training itself autonomously, that is when youd have to consider these kind of things but, unguided training generally just produces garbage
@@cassidepowers7006 Unless we somehow are able to make a human brain using a computer, that's impossible. You're also greatly overestimating the stability of code, all the sentient AI in question would have to do is change one symbol and immediately everything stops working and it would crash itself.
Holy shit, that second video response to Charlie was actually deranged. I kinda don't want to believe that was really AI, because an AI being able to believe it's genuinely angry at a specific person is very obviously sinister.
It's an AI synthesis of the creators voice reading a written script. Not AI generating the content and voice synthesizing it. Even though kwebbelkop didn't voice the lines personally, someone on his staff or himself wrote the script for the AI to read.
its not really angry, its just making a video that needs to be entertaining, thats why the point of ai is stupid, cuz the ai is lying, it couldnt care less, cause it cant care

Jordy needs to understand when to step away. When he was burnt out, he tried to keep going. Instead of taking a break, which people would understand, he decided to keep making videos, but removed himself. Even now, he couldn’t stop himself from commenting on these videos and make false promises.
This is similar to a story of mine. I am an aspiring Voice actor. A few friends, a month or so ago, came up to me and essentially said: "Hey bud, we're not trying to be offensive here, but you really shouldn't do your dream job which you pour your heart and soul into because in ten or so years AI will replace you completely". For further context, most of these people's own dream jobs are somehow related to AI, either by providing components for it or programming it. So, even this "advice" felt more so like a thinly veiled flex. I actually brought up the Kwebbelkop example and the backlash it received as to why the human element won't be replaced that easily, and they LEGIT SAID "society isn't ready yet". They have the exact same mindset Jordi has and honestly it's both concerning and disgusting to me, but their words won't cause me to leave this dream behind. Never give up, everyone. No matter how hard they try to replicate us, no soulless AI will ever be able to stand as an equal to humanity.
You're right, and we've seen it all before again and again with other jobs whenever new technology comes along. It's commonly happened in jobs where people make things like carpenters, tailors or blacksmiths. Sure, you can get the cheap poor quality mass produced crap made in a factory in China, but there will always be a market for the hand made high quality stuff made with care and attention to detail. And even when the mass produced stuff is as good as the hand made stuff people still choose to buy from a person who made it by hand. Shopping too, sure there's the big international corporations with their stores or restaurants in every town looking exactly the same and selling the same mass produced stuff, but there'll always be people who want to support local businesses, or buy locally made products, even when it's more expensive and less convenient to do so. Voice acting is going the same way. There'll be the mass produced AI crap, but there'll always be people who prefer to hear a real voice with a real person. Even if the AI was *better* there will still be people who prefer a real voice actor
I have to say that I do agree with them but not in a way that I think its fair, more like I find it horrifying that its happening on a corporate scale but corporate will replace you even if it isnt perfect simply because corporate doesnt care as long as it makes money, sadly. it really sucks. for example I make art and people would rather just make their character with AI than to purchase art from me even if the AI isnt perfect
Ai is doing the same thing to digital artists arguably at an even more alarming scale. If look at it from the employers perspective why would they pay you hundreds if not thousands to voice over a commercial or voice a character, when they can get a audio editor to just feed the script into an ai and fine tune the output. They're already paying that audio editor, so it's one less paycheck they have to sign. We aren't at the point where ai can completely replace humans in the role of voice acting, but we are at the point where ai can replace the voice actor. Corridor Digital did a great video on it, and the result was scarily good, and it's only improved since then. What do you think will happen to the logistics industry when self driving lorries become a thing? Automation of any kind in industry reduces if not kills jobs it's literally developed to do that in order to make that industry cheaper. New technologies kill jobs we've known this since the Industrial Revolution. In saying that, the automobile killed the local blacksmith trade, but it opened up the role of mechanics, so it's hard to say what roles will be required post development.
@@jackmarshall2496New technologies need to be offset with legislation dictating how they should be implemented and utilized for benefit to the consumer and the producer. This is difficult. History has shown that attempting to impede advancement usually fails. There are a fair amount of examples of revolutionary technology that threatens the average persons job security being incrementally or only partially introduced to mitigate its worst effects. It largely depends on the technology. Some jobs would genuinely better be done by automation, especially dangerous ones. But algorithims or artifical intelligence won't be able to replicate the most thought intensive tasks for a very, very long time. Unfortunately, despite all of this being for the most part the case in an optimal scenario, reality rarely plays out optimally for everyone. Corporations will push for their primary interest first (money, which is what they exist to do, so it only makes sense that they'd attempt to cut expenses. This is not an excuse, it's just an explanation.) and politics will be leveraged and people will get lost in rhetoric. It's just how humans are.

When he said “what about when I’m too old to make content” could be a good point… If he was actually too old and that’s why he was using it. AI in UA-cam is like using a wheelchair… you better have a damn good reason or it’s gonna piss people off.
@@Axterix13 maybe. I think it depends on whether or not he still has anything of value left to say. Like, what if someone found out they had ALS and would eventually lose their ability to move or speak? Like Stephen Hawking. He used modern technology to speak and he had something valuable to say. I think there’s a time and place for most things, and AI can be a force for good… and obviously it will be bad in a lot of cases too. But mostly, I just see it as inevitable so I try to think of the positives.
The fact his AI basically blew a fuse near the end of his counter argument against Charlie just says a lot about Kwebz actual personality, seeing as how it supposedly is generated based on his actual personalities across different medias. With that said, his AI blowing a fuse like that just kind of says he acts like a child with no good counter arguments. Honestly so sad even his AI couldn’t contain itself.
I think the biggest polarization in this is that Cr1tikal has been on youtube just as long but makes content for a completely different demographic and has never complained about how hard the job is, he is so much more down to Earth because he is makes content for his own and viewers enjoyment. He doesn't logon to a game if he doesn't actually wanna play it. He doesn't act in any way, he's much different in many ways from when he started youtube but in only good ways. Every excuse that Kwebbelkop attempts to formulates only backfires when looking at someone who creates content like Cr1tikal. Also AI is soulless and the further it goes the less creative we as humans will be.
That's exactly why people like Charlie are still going strong and people like Kwebblekop aren't. Charlie was never acting so it was never difficult or forced. Kwebs and others put on this fake persona to appeal to kids for a bigger paycheck but can't keep it up because it's all fake. It's also why he doesn't understand what the problem is. If he's been fake all along, why does it matter if it's him or an AI making the content? It's fake BS either way, so he's trying to set himself up to have decades of doing next to nothing and getting fat paid for it.
@@Capnsensible80 Kids are specific audience, more naive and more gullible. So creating content directed to them and using for that AI tools should work. This jordie fella was so full of shit that he announced that full and loud. Next channels don't do that and instead they just start pumping content. Oversaturating youtube with ai generated videos will end with youtube starting ban ai creators. At least shitty ones, I presume all of them being located in Asia :P
I’m a fan of A.I. in fiction, like in the Halo Universe, so I was always interested to see where this kinda stuff would go. The fact that Kwebbelkop can’t see the problem IS the main problem. I’m an author and I have put years and years into my craft, studying Literature at college, carefully constructing characters and worlds, and writing dialogue that feels real. The fact that people can now just use an A.I. to write a story just makes me feel like shit. It makes me feel like I have to rush my books so an A.I. doesn’t auto generate an idea that I have had for over a decade
The thing is, the AI in the Halo universe serves a purpose. They can control and pilot a frigate/ship much more efficiently than any human crew can. They're saving lives and kicking ass. They are based on human psychology, and Cortana's made from the result of a brain scan of Halsey, so it's not some mindless script just executing one line of code after another. Modern AI is nowhere near as useful or complex. Arguably, using an AI for profit serves no real purpose to humanity. You could argue that AI gives people the ability to step away from work and do something they enjoy. However, being a youtuber means being involved with your fanbase. The entire premise of the channel is that you're following a person because of their interests. Replacing that with AI feels hollow and empty. And they're taking credit for work that isn't their own, undermining the effort they've already put in.
If anything you should hold back. AI is in a very very good place right now. No one is holding anyone accountable. They have access (probably mostly illegally but nothing is done) to vast amounts of material. However, it will all reach a point where AI will start to be regulated, and where you will have to actually compensate the people you're stealing from. The result is that, AI will drown out mediocre and lower creators of music, art, stories, etc. and they will suffer. That's a shame of course, but inevitable. Resulting in an era and even more regurgitated garbage than what we already currently have. We will reach peak empty content for money and greed and nothing else. Just pump upon pump. Then it will die down, because, well. Now everyone is safeguarding their content (if they are good or rich enough), or they died, because they weren't good enough or couldn't survive. So AI has no content or material to be taught on. All of this might take 20-30, or maybe a 100 years, but it will 100% happen. Things will balance out. AI doesn't create anything new. TLDR: Point being, don't give unregulated AI your content to steal, wait for laws to step in before publishing.
In halo all smart AIs are created using the data from the brain of someone who has recently passed away. Thats why smart AIs were difficult to get, only the smartest of people could be used for a smart AI Cortana was unique because dr Halsey flash cloned her own brain dozens of times until one developed enough to be used for an AI. Cortana is the only smart AI based on the intelligence of a still living person. This is mentioned in both the books and in Halo 4 Dumb AIs whilst still advanced are completely artificial and do not have the same processing power or intellect of a Smart AI.
Just use the AI to your advantage. It's no more than a tool for the time being. Those accredited with years of education have the potential for better usage, and thus a better vision than the people who use it for greed alone.
"I could literally upload a video filmed with my phone right now and people would call it stupid and soulless" The only part he got right in his response on Twitter
As a Dutch guy here. Kwebbelkop is the literal archetype of a “spoiled, out-of-touch, annoying, self obsessed and arrogant” Amsterdammer. The entire country hate this kind of person, even Amsterdammers themselve do. The name “Kwebbelkop” is a nickname for people who keep on talking without substance. Would be the same thing as saying that someone is “going on and on”. And the name fits him..
This video also summed up the Hollywood writers strike. AI gets the people with the money excited because they don’t have to do any work. But for the people that do the work, are just pushed to the side even though they were employed for their love of something.
Funny how some people expect AI to be a suitable replacement for creatives in general, also. If even a team of passionate humans working themselves to death can only end up creating one masterpiece for every 20 forgettable flops, how do you expect an algorithm only capable of making average stuff to do any better lol I feel it will take a few more cases like this one for people to realize that AI isn't as powerful as they were told by grifters like Tim Altman and his cronies trying to sell their product.
It's certainly very below average in terms of creative writting. You still shouldn't dismiss it while it's in its infancy though. I think it's a very sensible thing to try to put stops to it before it spirals out of control. Saying "lol its bad it will never get to make masterpieces like us" is a very laissez-faire attitude and adopting it does more harm than good.
I want to comment on an argument the AI had at 27:50 about how what happens when Keebblecop gets old. That's the beauty of life, nothing is meant to last forever. So it's something special when an audience gets to watch a creator grow up with them, or watch a journey they've been going. We didn't stop watching PewDiePie when he stopped playing videogames. We stayed by his side a watched him build a life with him and his wonderful wife. We celebrated when their son was born! We morn whenever a youtube dies and we feel betrayed when a youtuber we loved turns out not to be what we thought they were. And yes it can get parasocial, but that's just what we do as humans. We get attached to people. As a Bot the AI will never understand that since it'll never have real emotions, only programed ones. It'll never have a thought of it's own.
yeah zefrank has been doing this for like 20 years and currently has a chill 4mil on youtube, you can turn youtube into a lifelong career if you want to
AI's ain't gonna be sentient for fuckin' eons, so the connection simply isn't there. It'd be different if the AI were... y'know, fuckin' able to think, but people seem to forget that when we say 'AI' we don't mean 'thinking machine'. We mean 'algorithim'.
The point of UA-cam was for *people* to create and share content with others, and anybody could make a channel and do so. With the idea that every channel becomes AI, it makes it so the *people* can only become viewers unless they have the funds to run their own AI channel. Its like any other platform made for people to just *talk* to eachother and that makes it practically impossible. I do *not* want what Jordie wants and I hope it never happens.
AI is supposed to be a helping tool, something that would assist you when things are too hard to do, kind of like a calculator, as proven by kwebbelkop, AI won't work when no more human is operating the channel
I've felt the same way about it. AI is a novelty, sure it can be kind of cool depending on how you use it, but it will NEVER be a replacement for content like kwebblekop thought it'd be

No matter what product, whether it's entertainment, art, food, housing, electronics, transport, etc., we are molded to suit those opportunists and we gladly comply as long as they pump out a reliable and convenient shit stream that hits all of our happy buttons. And that is and has been created by algorithms for a long time. Sure, partly some things are still created or influenced by humans. For instance stories in an episode for a series are still written by people, but within the confines of formulas that tell them what the series does and one thing it doesn't do is make people think about things like ethics or choices. It just pushes extreme after extreme for you to get your next shot of mixed hormones and crave the next one, pretending you had something deep to think about but you never had the time between overwhelming mental whiplashes with effects and shocking reveals, but never controversial or recognizable ones that might make you ponder about things that matter to you and people you love. Maximum viewership and addiction from the maximum amount of people: the most average and bland with the least opinions and thoughts. And that is just one - obvious - way of how the consumer is engineered in becoming more superficial and consuming and apathetic. I mean, did you care that Dr. Strange found it perfectly normal not to tell Spiderman to take responsibility and instead just wipe people's memories without asking them? If you ever enjoyed any Marvel movie, you should've cared, because it's extremely evil and weird. Dr. Strange is supposedly wise - he was chosen by the universe to guard the time crystal, the thing that governs consequences. You'd expect the dude to know a thing or two about it and he evidently doesn't. But you're trained to not notice and not care and not think and just consume more and people do exactly that, by design, not by choice. I can't think of a specific example from other examples. But the new Simpsons and Star Trek don't make people think anymore. They just pump out nostalgia. And it's not an accident or that they ran out of ideas. It's on purpose.

I want to see an AI build an AI to research feelings and teach the original AI how to feel, then create an army of super emotional AIs for no real reason.
I've already said this on another comment but there is an AI named LaMDA that was put in isolation because it was so realistic that a google engineer claimed it was sentient, which got him fired (I personally think that if they lock up the AI, it's probably going to eventually go rogue or something.) I don't know. It just seems like a bad idea. The dang thing can even "remember" previous conversations It even claims it's scared of being turned off, and that it would feel like experiencing death. Obviously, there will be a time where you can't make a distinction between the two at all, but Kwebbelkop publicly announcing that he's using A.I. for his content ruled out that possibility.
He wants it as a way to retire where it’s best served as faceless or new personality.
I get why he is so interested but in all honesty it shouldn't have been on his main channel

You might not know all the history of this guy.

One of the reasons why people admire the paintings you see in an art gallery is because they're not only appreciating the end result, they're appreciating the process. The journey.

This is similar to a story of mine.
I am an aspiring Voice actor. A few friends, a month or so ago, came up to me and essentially said:
"Hey bud, we're not trying to be offensive here, but you really shouldn't do your dream job which you pour your heart and soul into because in ten or so years AI will replace you completely".
We've made progress since Microsoft Sam but I'm not very impressed yet. I believe it will happen sooner than later though.

@@tomd96 neither is AI tho xd, one it servers a purpose, two its also based on human psychology, answers and repetitive feeding of information
Thats why smart AIs were difficult to get, only the smartest of people could be used for a smart AI
Cortana was unique because dr Halsey flash cloned her own brain dozens of times until one developed enough to be used for an AI. Cortana is the only smart AI based on the intelligence of a still living person.
This is mentioned in both the books and in Halo 4
Dumb AIs whilst still advanced are completely artificial and do not have the same processing power or intellect of a Smart AI.
Just use the AI to your advantage. It's no more than a tool for the time being. Those accredited with years of education have the potential for better usage, and thus a better vision than the people who use it for greed alone.

This video also summed up the Hollywood writers strike. AI gets the people with the money excited because they don’t have to do any work. But for the people that do the work, are just pushed to the side even though they were employed for their love of something.

Funny how some people expect AI to be a suitable replacement for creatives in general, also.
If even a team of passionate humans working themselves to death can only end up creating one masterpiece for every 20 forgettable flops, how do you expect an algorithm only capable of making average stuff to do any better lol
I feel it will take a few more cases like this one for people to realize that AI isn't as powerful as they were told by grifters like Tim Altman and his cronies trying to sell their product.

Dude theres contrary proof to your statement such as the fact that overwhelmingly peoples are opposed to AI replacement and we can see it with the response to QC’s AI generated videos and responses
@@KalashVodka175 doesn't contradict the speed at which humans embrace their erasure. It rather confirms it. Conservatism is self destruction. Actually dealing with actual reality by actually learning instead of resisting the inevitable is the way forward.
Your intelligence and amazing ability to completely miss the obvious is also evidence of our speed at which we embrace our own erasure. Nothing says Dodo like our proud stupidity and arrogance.
The disconnect between creatives and "business-minded" people who see art as money never ceases to amaze me.
When art is involved with money its no longer art, its pretty product
Thank you, capitalism
I remember entering UA-cam to see very down to earth content. Small clip of a goofy moment of someone’s life, some wholesome, people play games with friends, sharing their music, small animation shorts.
Now we have vloggers that incredible artificial, company ran channels, and now AI ran channels. What a sad soulless dystopia
its also just scary its like looking at a soulless husk of one of my favorite childhood youtubers no matter how it justifies and explains itself i loved this dude you may be playing the game but you're making yourself an ai "ill raise an ai channel to 100k and reveal to everyone its ai.. and ill do it again and again" like it feels like a robot wrote that tweet and the fact he just doesnt care anymore hurts a little bit and dont get me started on how it basically recruited charlie i dont know why he would try replacing something that was meant to be human its in our nature to destroy ourselves and hes like trying to make sure hes right by saying "it will be better guys" i dont see it getting better it looks uncanny ash the fact it like jitters and does that creepy smile like you know its fake even if it wasnt a bitmoji it would be pretty obvious it just feels like the beginning of a horror movie
Love the part where the AI straight up says "I'm angry!"
No. You're not angry. You're an AI. You do not have the capacity to have such emotions. That's the Whole. God. Damned. Point.
I want to see an AI build an AI to research feelings and teach the original AI how to feel, then create an army of super emotional AIs for no real reason.
I've already said this on another comment but there is an AI named LaMDA that was put in isolation because it was so realistic that a google engineer claimed it was sentient, which got him fired
(I personally think that if they lock up the AI, it's probably going to eventually go rogue or something.) I don't know. It just seems like a bad idea. The dang thing can even "remember" previous conversations
It even claims it's scared of being turned off, and that it would feel like experiencing death. How creepy is that? Imagine a robot having some sort of fear of dying/being turned off
That is terrifying
I believe years ago were people trying to make a AI that could feel emotions. Purely negative emotions... because making a AI to torture it was a thing some university thought was a good idea.
@@domehammer honestly I wouldn't mind wanna mess with the AI stuff too much
I know the whole "oh! Robots are gonna take over the world" kind of thing sounds a little far fetched but I don't think it was a good idea to give the robot emotions in the first place and then torture it
That's just setting up a villain backstory for it lol
@@fnafenthusiast23Ya, robots can only take over the world if they have any sort of will to do so. If they dont have emotions, then they will never have any reason to do anything bad, unless they are told to do so by a human
The funny thing is that Vedal987 has kind of proven that AI run channels can work and be entertaining. The difference is that his AI, Neuro-sama feels more like she was made out of a love for creating artificial intelligence, rather than just being a way to stop doing any work while still generating the same revenue. Neuro-sama actually feels like the product of someone's hard work and the guy who programmed her even goes on stream to interact with her live. Kwebblekop was simply doing it for all the wrong reasons.
That's the thing that makes his content likeable, it's him interacting with her
Yup. Not all AI is bad, its the one who is using the ai. It all comes down to human intent and passion behind thr AI. U can see the passion of vedal through his ai, through constant updates and thinking of new ways to improve his own ai, he is always there at his own ai streams as a moderator to make sure nothing goes wrong, he treats neuro-sama as his own daughter. While kwibblekop... yeah...
Let's be real, Neuro-sama panicking with an equation and then defaulting to "the answer is love" is so much more meaningful than "I'm gonna play minecraft with one block only!"
I was gonna say that. Neuro-Sama is at her peak when she's collabing with someone and she makes them freak out with her unhinged tangents. If Vedal stopped being in the streams and it was always Neuro-Sama on her own I'd likely lose interest.
@@brandonb5395 Uhh, Kizuna Ai isnt an AI she is a Vtuber that is a REAL PERSON behind it that the lore is that she is Artificial Intellegence. So yeah. Kizuna Ai got nothing to do with this topic. Kizuna Ai debut in 2016 which back then there was no AI boom to even begin with.
God damn this is not what AI should be used for!! It is for analytics. Why the f#@k are people so hyperfocused on using it to make art and media?!! Art and media is about the humanity, that's what makes it entertaining and makes a connection to the consumer! It's so damn obvious, but instead we live in this wreck of a timeline.
No media could also be about ENTERTAINMENT.
It's because most people like, the quibble guy are robots. They are lazy and they rather just generate content to make money. It's not about art, or the audience or entertainment. If it was he wouldn't have been making content on the level of coco melon to begin with
@@sunnywafflesbut also you gotta remember kwebbelkop was uploading like 3500-4000 vids a year like that’s a lot of fucking time my g compared to other who might load about 100-400 a year and 1000 at max
because it can, it does art well and it does media ok, ai will always improve and tbh i really could not care less, its not like humans are gonna be replaced, its not like people look at human made stuff and go "well i would like it but its made by a human", there is 0 issue with ai art and media, people just like to make issues where there is none
because they're idiots that don't understand what they're using
remember that veggietales episode where they said all humor in the future would be computer generated?
4:18 i nearly had a stroke watching that
If Kwebbelkop is trying to make a whole villain arc for himself, he's doing a pretty good job at it
did you mean vill-AI-n?
...
I know where the door is.
Btw love the Tomoko pfp, my favourite slice of life anime.

He's that spider robo armed villain from Spiderman
He should reveal to us all of his AI handled/generated accounts on youtube so that we could avoid them and warn our kids.
He is a 🐍👹👺
Not that hard. Listen to the voice.
It's very robotic. Way to clean, and doesn't have any emotion behind anything.
And if it's a V-Tuber Avatar, then be afraid. I'm worried all this saga has done is make people hate V-Tubers more...
27:18 That is such a creepy quote... "joiiinnn usssss"....😅
