Can't believe I'm just finding these guys but holy shit Tilian Pearson(sp) is a fucking AMAZING vocalist and the band is PERFECT for him. Wish they would get back together, as much I like new Dance Gavin Dance.
Tides of Man is on the indiegogo website raising money for funding a new record. They are so talented. Go to the site and click the bands name, hear their videos and support them.
Personally this particular song reminds me more of Coheed and Cambria mixed with a touch of Circa. Their other songs are more "Circa" though in my opinion.
Doesn't seem like they ever really fit the Rise profile, what with not having any songs heavily reliant on breakdowns and alternatingly clean and heavy vocals. Not that the formula doesn't work, they just never fit it.
I still can't help but smile looking at the lyrics, they're magnificent
After all these years I still get chills listening to this song.
The order of the alliteration spells out Descent
Used to listen to this back when i was barely 13 and just rediscovered it at 26 and wow its just as great
Randomly stumbled across this song and so glad i did. Very impressed
Verses have an unusual time signature, but they totally work.
Im just back for my half year binge listening and
id like everyone to know this is a lyrical master piece

This song is soo sick
I've never heard a more coheed-esque song. I mean this in a good way

Several years late discovering this, but WOW this is good
You should look up Dance Gavin Dance if you havent already then
awesome bands! :D
I sense so much Coheed in this
Fuck yeah!!
Another COTF!!
and yes i can hear "Backend of forever" in the intro
+Vitor Heerdt Yeah! The guitar work in both bands is amazing :D
his voice kinda reminds me of Claudio's in 'not my love'
Definitely get that too, but this track especially sounds like Coheed in the instrumentals
Exactly. And their faster, progressive sounds are a lot like The Sound of Animals Fighting and Dance Gavin Dance.
reminds me of circa survive
kinda reminds me of coheed a little in parts
Apparently Tilian is the new vocalist of DGD.
Chill as fuck. Reminds me of Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa kinda. Really good.
dude i was just about to write that.
trying to learn the intro fucking hard
Well...he is now
Not gonna lie, this sounds kinda like Metallica for a little bit, aside from Tilian
This is equally if not a lot better than some the tracks off acceptance speech. Ntm tilian can play guitar!!
Yuuuup. they finally kicked the hell out of Jonny.
Im glad. his voice sounds a lot like Kurt Travis which is a good thing. at least for me
doesnt fit Rise.. But still amazing
