  • In Rwanda about 400,000 smallholder farmers produce coffee and depend on the crop's revenues for their livelihood. CNBC Africa's Fiona Muthoni travelled about 140 kilometres away from the capital city of Kigali on a quest to understand how the country’s coffee value chain can be improved.

    Good. We need to start adding value to our crops/produce here in Africa before exporting. This is how we create jobs for our people. Shipping our raw produce to factories in Europe for processing has to stop!
