I feel like I'm doing something wrong and I don't know what. I'm using the same bait, the same rod/line set up and casting in the same place, but 100% of all my feeding rod catches over the course of three days at emerald lake only result in PIckerel and no walleyes. I can get a decent amount of walleyes from my spinner rod, but it feels kind of like I'm wasting money on the minnow bait and the feeding rod seeing as how the fish are never really anything to write home about. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to be getting walleyes from my feeding rod? Help plz, thanks.

Yeah, I’ve always done the opposite- but also, water clarity comes into play. If the water is clear, stick to more natural colors, vs. dark or bright depending on dirty water and cloudy/sunny days

So if it is cloudy dark colors and sunny bright colors . Or the other way around ??

But you can try any color at any weather, you will catch some fish anyway.
