I have to say as some one who loves Square Body Chevys I don't understand all the butt hurt people. It's not your truck and they made a lot of these. Also you should be happy how well this held up. @@jamisgood21 true. Happens to some shitty bikes I purchased, when I abuse the shit out of them they don't break. But going to the grocery store? Fuel line clogged, crank bearings get fucked up, brake pad gets destroyed, loose bolts, etc, etc.
On a serious note - endless daily use, countless heat cycles & running hours, _that_ is what finally kills stuff. Modern vehicles are engineered to just work, and to not run hard enough to destroy themselves.
Also there is a case to be made for letting your machine run through it's paces once in a while, getting it's blood pumping, so to speak. It can clean stuff out, keeps things moving etc

To name a few 1953 Plymouth 4 door, a pink Caddy Coupe de Ville, 1948 ford pickup, & numerous farm trucks that our families no longer used.
The Plymouth had a rusty gas tank. Easily remedied with a 5 gallon herbicide can, plumbed with water hose.
