If they ever make a second version of the Octane, it needs to have an LS in it.
Who knows, maybe we'll upgrade the power unit once we reach our initial goals..
i feel like a honda I4 engine would be better since it would be easier to fit because its more compact and the power you could get off of it would be good for the chassis

I think the Octane should sound more like a 4 banger. If there's ever an exact Dominus recreation (already has a lot in common with older muscle cars), then a louder V8 would be great.

They are decently cheap, light and have a ton of power potential but would work great stock for such a light vehicle
I might’ve missed it in the video but do you have an estimate to how heavy it will be?
I would almost say use a 4 stroke snowmobile engine, it would be a bit more complex because they usually use snow to cool them but the torque on a snowmobile engine is insane compared to a motorcycle

Tbh I'm getting into cars, was working towards my ASE Certification, wanted to start flipping and eventually modding and customizing cars and maybe start a performance shop. I've had a dream of building a working version of the octane in real life. I can't say I'm surprised someone beat me to it but this is fuckin cool.
This reminds me of the hot wheels fans who have built real versions of their favorite hot wheels cars, and I can't wait to see it finished and on the road honestly

this is an easy concept. There are already chassis that can be used. Demolition Ranch had a concept car that you could Raise the suspension on and it would work perfectly
I can see these guys becoming like the leading producer corporation that distributes the parts necessary and designs and all that for "i.R.L." cars and products like definitely need to get a sponsor from epic games or psyonix so they don't sue you or something for one and two so it's more official.. this could even be breakthrough moment for a company like epic games to expand their ''dimensions'' and break into the real life car scene perhaps even electric. Considering the motors can be much smaller and more versatile and efficient. Awesome to see this happening though it was always a dream of mine to see it come to life and perhaps even be a part of it somehow. Glad to see money going towards something awesome for people rather than selfish indulgences.

electric drive engine would make his life easier for sure but they cost a little but it would keep the sound down so you could use a load speaker for engine sound in my opinion

He could have built a cross cart using a piranha chassis also the best engine for bills like that for cross karting would be like a Hayabusa they are well-known in the cross cart industry and completely perfect for what he's doing

Here’s the thing. The engine is in the back so why can’t you get a blown V8 where it should be?? Use a transaxle for the transmission like for porches and use the exhaust like how it should. It would be great if I could give drivetrain tips if it’s possible please

Um that rocket League sound that you played was a v8 typically found in classic American muscle cars the Ducati engine will more sound high pitched and rev a lot higher due to the fact the motorcyclists tend to prefer a higher more responsive engine
Engine wise if you want good and affordable rip a PowerPlant out of a zx14 or a hyabusa. I know I know busa swaps are the most common but would be radical

Hey I'm a little late but you should try and find a gsxr 1000 motor I know it's possible to get your hands on because people have used them in builds before they make 202 hp and I'm sure you can find upgraded parts to make more power with it.
