Was a fervent believer in Santa's existence and Christmas magic until that one fateful December morning I overheard my well-off relatives talk about how difficult it was to buy those particular set of gifts for that year (cause those toys we wanted back then could only be bought and shipped from overseas) and how they had to enclose them all with the most expensive kind of giftwrap (ones that aren't found in the stores nearby) just to make them look authentic and unique... Needless to say, that incident shattered my whole rose-colored worldview about Santa and the holidays in general (and ultimately contributed to my early transformation from naïve kid to cynical teen.)
