- In this video I show you how to re-sync an Audi A2 key back to a car if your battery goes flat or the synchronisation for remote central locking / unlocking is lost.

Great video. First time in 17 years my keys went out of sync, on my fully loaded Storm. Shame you've stopped producing YT videos, but know how hard it can be. If you ever want to start up again, happy to give some guidance as I've learnt a thing or two over the past 3 years. Thanks again.

Thx a lot for this wonderful weird key training. My girlfriend came at me with "what are you doing!" trying to grab the key,

Can you tell me more Paul. You can check the voltage on your main car battery. Should be about 12v with the engine off and 14v with the engine running. If lower than that you could need a new battery or a alternator.
I can't thank you enough for this! I bought an 02 A2 recently and just assumed the key fob was knackered but when I followed your video it worked perfectly! It's going to make life (and in particular getting two young kids in and out of the car) so much easier! Cheers!

Just had a new battery fitted by AA and this happened the next day, couldn't get my back doors or boot open - Brilliant it worked! Thankyou so much! thought i was going to have to go to the garage.

Great stuff man! But I wasn't able to move my window back up with the remote. Is that an extra feature?
I have found it to sometimes be car dependent Claes, the CCCM controls all of these functions and it may depend on the age of the car and model of CCCM if this feature is available. Might be worth checking if you have the one touch open and close feature also. Put the drivers window down, then up, then when at the top and it has stopped again try to put it up, this should activate one touch windows if you have that feature. Then check and see if you have auto close from the key. Not sure if that will work but worth a shot. Let me know how you get on. Cheers.

Thanks for this, I just picked up an A2 (it's my first car) - Using this method I managed to get the spare Remote key to work.
There are a few things that need some attention on mine but I think I'm happy so far, need to do a bit more driving in it and get it through it's first MOT to be sure :P
Do you have any plans on doing some more mechanical videos?
One suggestion - My drivers' door has a click and a bit of a jump to it when opening, I believe it might be the "Check strap"? - A video on replacing this would be handy
I'd also be interested in a video on removing and cleaning the throttle body as this seems like a good idea to keep it running more smoothly....
Thanks for the comment. It will indeed be the check strap. If you contact depronman on the A2OC forum he will well you a refurbished one. Easy to fix. I have 3 to do so I sure can do a video. Hi! I've just changed the ccu, because it doesn't work proper anymore, and replaced with another one with the same code, but now i have one window that don't go up anymore, and the little red light in the driver door is not beeping anymore... obviously the key is not working... if you could help me... thank you in advance 😅
Hi. I would check that the one you have purchased to replace your broken one wasn’t broken as well.
Great tip but not what I did with mine. I basically fumbled about putting the key ignition, turning it on, pressing the buttons and when I took the key out it works.
You will find my way works every time. 👍😊

There is no key for the boot I’m afraid. Check my other video for opening the boot with a flat battery. I hope that helps.

If I change the ccm module and the key is still the old one, this does not work? Have to program like with vcds?
This is my understanding. Not sure if VCDS does this or if it is more specialist software.

I have a audi 1.6 fsi and I tried what you did and still won't connect will I have to go to a audi dealership to do it?

@@mrbroons well I did what you did unlocked the car turned the ignition over for all lights to come on then out the window down then closed the door turned off the ignition then pressed the buttons on the key and still nothing happened as in heard any locks or lights flashing

@@mrbroons the battery got removed and replaced
@@that1averageguy335 If it worked before then this should work and get it going again. I would try it again and see how you get on, if not then there could be something further wrong. If you can get a VCDS scan of the car (VAGCom) to see if there are any other faults that may be causing the issue. You could also try this from the passenger side (in case your door switch is broken and stopping the process working - just a little bit more awkward)

@@mrbroons Just had a new Car battery before I bought it a few days ago, and a new fob battery, probably a faulty fob.
That should definitely work. Worth having another go, it has worked for everyone else I’ve heard from.
@@mrbroons Yeah it's probably the key fob is buggered..
@@mrbroons So I've had a locksmith out, the key is working, the problem's in the car somewhere, swapped the CCU.. No joy.
