before find edges rasterise the top layer
then do find edges and then go to image>adjustments>invert.
then change the blend mode to linear dodge add and hide the fracture layer.
then if you want you can reduce the opacity of the top layer for better results.(its optional, I did).

when I'm trying to set filter on "oil paint", it's disabled so I can't to anything, so can you give me some advise, what should I do to turn on this function?
i'm currently having the same problem
for some reason the brush rotates every click and i cant figure out how to make it hold still so i can click multiple times in the same spot with the splatter brush like you did in the video. please help. :/

" For everyone that say: Oil Paint Filter in (Stylize) menu doesn't appear or grayed out or even "not active
That's so simple to fix. just follow these steps bellow
Make sure Photoshop is up-to-date
Make sure that your document is RGB. Oil Paint won't work on color spaces other than RGB (e.g. CMYK, Lab, etc.)
If you're on Windows, make sure you're running a 64-bit OS with the 64-bit version of Photoshop. OpenCL requires 64-bit
Make sure Use Graphics Processor is checked under Preferences > Performance

yesterday i was working on this project and everything was fine, but today I again opened Adobe CC but when i select the photo with brush in mask mode, it doesn't crop the required area and shows the message "No pixels are more than 50% selected, the selection edges will not be visible"... Help me as I don't know much about Photoshop tools...
I've tried putting feather as 0 pixels...
how the hell does the splatter brush NOT paint on the mask? I keep following the same exact splatter and it doesn't even splatter on the image. Anyone else having this problem?
Hi, um, i know, im late but i have a few problems.
1. Oil paint isn't there.
2. When i turn RGB color, all layers(except MERGED) disappear.
3. When i turn to Linear dodge add, nothing happens.
Anyone with a good mood to help a begginer like me? :>
