I only wish everyone that came to that booth had the same passion for golf clubs that you guys and all those in the comments have. I have tried to sell those sets for weeks and give that open set away for free because I wanted someone to use them. I'm so glad I met you guys and I hope to see a video of you guys playing a round with them. Well done on the channel guys.
You never showed us a good up close look at the new in plastic clubs. Uhm, I know you think Golden Bears are cool, and I will admit as a kid I liked the semi clear epoxy inserts on the woods with the logo of the golden bear set deep in the insert, but those were actually very inexpensive, low level, beginner golf clubs that were sold at a low price point at places such as Sears. They were budget models.
@@scottdean27 He obviously knows that they were cheap clubs... He's a golf club wizard... Knows more about clubs than anyone in the country probably. Plus, while everything isn't about how expensive something is, he looked them up on eBay and they're going for 1000 bucks, new in box like that.
Very cool to see vintage clubs still in the box. The first set of clubs I ever bought came in a similar boxed set. They were Wilson Reflex clubs, 2-PW and 1, 3 and 5 wood, that I bought in the summer of ‘82. I think I paid $250 for the set which was a lot for a junior in college working a summer job. And i still have the complete set in my garage!
I found a full set of MacGregor Golden Bear irons last year at Goodwill Outlet in central Illinois. Clubs are in good shape and keeping them as a collector piece.
I miss when clubs came in the nice flat boxes. I bought my first new set of irons in August 1984 when I was 16 - Ram Accubar 3 - PW and they came in the large flat box. I remember how Carl’s Golfland had all the clubs arranged in their club room: woods all displayed in their big boxes on the top shelf and the matching irons on the bottom below them. I looked at sets from Lynx, Powerbilt, Wilson, Spaulding and MacGregor before deciding on the Rams. I love the look of vintage clubs, especially the woods with the clear urethane inserts in the middle of the main face insert. Nice find!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😀😀😀
Wow. Was the set on the right in the red box MacGregor Tourney's ? They were my first clubs in 1973 !!! Incredible find. I haven't seen them since we left Canada in 1976 😍 Thanks for the great video's and the nostalgia !
Only 1k away from the big 250K you both have earned it!! Really nice to see you back at the flea market!! I am sure the sellers were happy to see you as well!!
what a sweet score on the boxed clubs!! it's crazy that people think your videos are staged. i met you at a flea market in orlando last year, and i can vouch for the fact it wasn't staged at all. you just walked in, looked around, found some stuff, paid the guy and left!! greets from canada.
I bought a set of classic used clubs one time and the seller put them in a 1967 Macgregor Nicklaus VIP box. It was pretty cool to see an original box. I sold the empty box for big $ on eBay a couple of years later. Incredible that that stuff survives.
Love the vintage set finds! I have a set of near mint mac gregor Ben Crenshaw "the texan" irons, as well as a set of mac gregor FC4000s from 1962, the only hear they didnt have " FC4000" marked on the club, along with those, i have a full set 1-5 of the macgregor M-tourney dx woods, in a vintage macgregor M tourney staff bag!
Those Jack Nicklaus clubs were the first clubs I learned to play with. I have always wanted another set but have never seen any. Mine were bought back in the mid 70’s.
I love vintage clubs I still have a set of mcgregor jack nicklaus miurafield forged blades. I only play vintage macgregor forged blades now and played best rounds of my life with these would never change.
I can tell you it was the early 70's. That was my first set of golf clubs. Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear 2 iron to PW, I, 3, & 5 woods with a Jack Nicklaus putter in the bag. They are currently at my sons garage in Ponca City, Oklahoma. I live in Thailand, so I doubt I'll ever play with them again...... I've got Johns favorite golf clubs, a set of Nike VRS2 irons and woods and a hybrid 4..... Keep doing this, we love it......
I love playing vintage sets. It makes you really appreciate today’s technology, but when you hit an old blade pure, there’s nothing like it. P.S. I think the golf club finds are legit, it’s the Pyrex that are the plants. 😂
Just bought a set of Staff blades from 1978 Sold all my modern stuff after one range session. Traditional lofts get that ball close to the pin 8y gapping
My Dad had a set of Slazenger Jack Nicklaus VIP with the red gel in the back in the 1970s, i think they were the most beautiful clubs ive ever seen, the woods were flawless, please show these clubs in detail in a video.
That's hilarious that some think y'all fake your videos😆Those same folks can't wake up earlier enough to scoop up those early morning finds. Nice to see you guys back at the Flea Market!! Great Special Guest appearance !!!!
Love these videos so much! I moved to Kansas for a coaching position at a college. There are a few good courses out here. Going to play next week. Temps in the 60's and 70's!!! Let's Goooo!
I wasn't into golf in 2009 when my dad died and I put that exact same McGreggor Jack Nichauls set in its box in the GARAGE SALE pile 🤦🏻♂️ I regret not keeping those as the guy said I would love to challenge myself with those. Maybe I'd play great since my dad won them in a caddie putting contest 🙂
I too had a set of Golden Bears. Christmas gift from the parents. Never could hit them though, the shafts weren't stiff enough. Probably wouldn't be an issue now, I got old..... IOS that the Daytona flea market?
Don't worry about what people say, love what you do and enjoy it. I have to admit I would like to have the 2nd hand collection in Australia that you manage to find.
I have that brown oval Pyrex baking dish. I also have a lid that fits. We got it for our wedding48 years ago next month. You’ll have to have a quest for the lid.
Another amazing day of searching for clubs! I vote you don't break the seal on that set of persimmons - play some "just like" them... Great to see Dad out with you and fun to see the wave is back. Keep having fun!
Pay Me When You Can only shows to your integrity, another great video. Wish there were more of them. You used to tell us what flea markets you were shopping in. It would be nice to know so when we're in the area we can look for bargains as well. Shopping selection is not very good in Upstate NY. :)
You could take those clubs to Antiques Roadshow. There was a watch from Viet Nam era on there with box and his receipts that he paid a few hundred dollars for that were worth $250,000.
I only wish everyone that came to that booth had the same passion for golf clubs that you guys and all those in the comments have. I had a set of Golden Bears . I bought them in the 1970's . I'm 75 yrs old now . Enjoy your video's . My Dad was a great golfer , I was terrible .
Thanks Steve! So cool you had the same clubs
I had a set of Golden Bears as my first clubs.

Jon, you really hit the jackpot with Ashley. She is so supportive, hard working, and pretty. You are such an entertaining couple.
Or did Ashley hit the jackpot with Jon🤔🇦🇺
I like that she’s modest and not attention seeking yet still very involved.

Weathers nice again! For you, only played twice so far this month due to blooming rain in Uk
But on a brighter note the wife’s taken up golf! Hates all sports, but is hitting driver like a boss.

Fantastic find those boxed sets. Incredible they are untouched.
Wow! Outstanding find on the old new irons. I play a set of Ben Hogan Apex pro forged.
Incredible find! So much fun to watch.
Out of the gate you two were finding a ton of items. And then new, boxed sets of MacGregor store line sets???? That is crazy!!
That guy selling the Mizunos was for sure fencing.
Just bought a set of Staff blades from 1978 Sold all my modern stuff after one range session. Traditional lofts get that ball close to the pin 8y gapping

I have to admit I would like to have the 2nd hand collection in Australia that you manage to find.
I had a complete set of Spaldings from probably the late 60s, 2-W, 1, 2, 3 W, and I'd die to still have them today!
Love those Aeroburner hybrids. I just hit 255 with the 3 hybrid the other day.

Stacked Camping coming soon!!!!
I started out with “off the shelf” Northwesterns!
Try finding those from the early ‘70’s
This place just doesn’t stop giving!
Love the Golden Bear find!
Pay Me When You Can only shows to your integrity, another great video. Wish there were more of them. You used to tell us what flea markets you were shopping in. It would be nice to know so when we're in the area we can look for bargains as well. Shopping selection is not very good in Upstate NY. :)
What a find on the boxed irons!
Some great finds there.
Wow what finds today! Gotta give the thumbs up for your dad making an appearance
They play some good music at these markets you go to.
You could take those clubs to Antiques Roadshow. There was a watch from Viet Nam era on there with box and his receipts that he paid a few hundred dollars for that were worth $250,000.
The flea market is great because of the vendors. Some are definitely characters! They also know and trust you, which is a testament to your integrity.
New display cases should be in your future. Great find!!!
sooo cool on the New in the box Clubs!!!! Yep Yep Yep!!! good good stuff!!!!
Could you do a video or short maybe of just those old clubs in the box in more detail? I’m dieing to see those macgregors up close
Pleased you went back and we see the old friends
My dad owns a even rarer set # 140 of 600 Ben given apex 1999 irons never used brand new while a beat up set is worth 3k probably around 6k
