Why do young people feel the need to disfigure their skin these days? It's just ugly and rather alarming. Perhaps that's the point. It's a baffling fashion that seems to affect all young people regardless of their talents or apparent brightness. Such is the power of peer pressure I suppose. In that sense, of course, nothing changes. But at least similar fashions were pretty harmless in my day - bleached hair and pierced ears are reversible. You can even get over recreational drugs pretty quickly when you're ready to grow up. I did. But you can never "get over" tattoos without some pretty painful surgery that usually leaves scars. Madness.

Why the hell should she? I shave pretty much everywhere myself but I don't question those who don't and nor does it affect my life in any way. If you're really that bothered about someone you don't personally know not shaving under their arms, I think you have bigger issues.
