    When I was 6, my sister, 7 1/2, had cancer. It was the late 60s. Chemo then was vicious. I would sleep next to her skeletal body to keep her warm. We shared my transistor radio and listened to this show. It was after 9, and verboten to listen after our bedtime. It scared the huey out of us. A desperately needed distraction, for us both. She survived.

    Guinn is such a natural actor, so conversational in style. But come on and admit it, you got to have visions of herman Munster in your head right? I know I do! Wonderful story. Mystery theater was a big part of my life growing up in the 70s

      Did this really occur in 1965? If so, where is the object that landed in PA.? Did the gov't scurry it away to some hidden chamber? 😯

    I’ve been a fan of the CBSRMT since January 1974, when I first saw an ad in TIME magazine announcing its launch. Growing up, I would listen as often as I could, though I rarely managed to stay awake through the various episodes. Sometimes I recorded them with an old cassette recorder. In the late 1990s, I started listening via the internet, and I thought I’d heard most of the better episodes, but I’d never heard this one before today and it’s a great story. Fred Gwynne Is one of my favorites from the show’s talented stable of actors, along with Howard DaSilva and Mason Adams. Thanks to you, Chilly Sunshine, for curating such a wonderful collection. You’ve given us all thousands of hours of entertainment and imagination!

    I listened to this once or twice before. Always love the great Fred Gwynne! Listened while doing an evening 5K walk. He kept a little bit of a secret and we soon learn others were keeping a very deep and dark secret! Displacement! Listen, and find out, also enjoy the unmistakeable voice of Fred Gwynne!

    Thank you Chilly Sunshine!!! Your channel is one of the best on UA-cam! I listen to these radio programs every single night on your channel. It’s SUCH a treat to have these all again. I listened to them originally in the 70’s on the radio at night, and now can do the same thing and enjoy them all over again, in the proper original order they aired. Such an enjoyable treat here. Thanks again for all your efforts, and God Bless!

    Thank you for bringing back one of my treasured memories of childhood. I used to listen to "Radio Mystery Theater", with EG Marshall on WCCO radio in Minneapolis MN in the 1970's. My dad and I enjoyed listening to this program on a nightly basis.

    If a human's matter every encountered an unlimited supply of anti-matter, the law of the conservation of energy would indicate that it would create an explosion that would probably level southern Germany. It would make a hydrogen bomb look like a firecracker.

    This one's mildly personal for me for a couple reasons. One was recognizing the voice of Fred Gwynne whom I had loved first as H. Munster as a younger child. 2nd is Nazis, who are freedom's natural enemy & killed so many innocents. Great episode. I remember the first time it aired. Thanks for posting!

    The photo resembles "Die Glocke" or "The Bell." A Nazi Bell time traveling device.
    By the way, that was an interesting story.🌙

      Didnt this bell land in Pennsylvania in the early 80s?

    • @janetcraft
      @janetcraft 3 роки тому +2

      @@maxpower001 Thanks Max for your question. Actually this all happened on the night of December 9, 1965. It was first sighted as a fireball that crossed over Canada and witnessed by thousands in Michigan and Ohio, then strikes ground at Kecksburg, Pennsylvania igniting a fire in the forest. When it was found, witnesses said it looked like a huge metal shaped acorn. The military got involved and took it away on a flat-bed truck. There are several documents that you can look into on line and a few respected documentaries here on UA-cam. This case fascinated me as well because it may have some connection with what the Nazis were experamating. If you manage to find a book called, "A History of UFO Crashes" by Kevin D. Randle (1995) Randle writes the whole story. To this day, no one knows what or where this "bell" is stored now.

    fascinating episode - the science is vaguely like black holes well known by that time - good script - i like how they changed the usual protagonist's muttering to himself - to a letter being typewritten to his wife - acting was very good with Fred Gwynne's distinctive voice playing the protagonist

      I'm not sure, but the artwork was clearly inspired by the story of the Nazi time machine referred to as the Brotherhood of the Bell.
