Thanks - had seen some other bad reviews of the excursion, but I can’t figure out anything else to do on our next Nassau trip so reconsidered it, but now definitely NOT.

Why I canceled it. I loved the island drive beach tour better. You see the island and a private beach with just your group on the bus. It was amazing for $65 bucks off Disney in the Virgin Islands. Castaway cay is a literal gimmick. I flew to Freeport stayed in a resort and it’s how you need to do it. Not on a cruise. Ppl make bad reviews about the drive and beach break and I think they discourage ppl from doing it bc it is awesome and you get your own beach with chairs, plenty of chairs and a secluded area. That’s why I think they say those sight seeing tours are dumb bc they don’t want ppl going, I loved it and for $65 a person to see the island and get out take photos plus the private beach for 1.5 hours was plenty. They had drinks and other stuff for like $6 and you can always eat on the ship 🚢 I don’t get why paying $127 per person thinks this is good. Do the cheap ass excursions you won’t be disappointed. No kids and it was so peaceful just the 8 of us on board. So do the cheap excursions bc these overpriced ones are a scam. I live in Fl and flew into Freeport and it is nicer than Nassau. That’s me, but I served in the Navy and seen many countries and lived in Italy. But negative reviews on cheap excursions has me baffled.

I agree 100% almost every cheap excursion I have done was amazing. Most of the expensive ones make you feel like this better be good and it never is as good as you think for the price you pay. I am with you and prefer the island tours as well. That way if I come back I know where I will want to go, not where people tell me I should go :)
