Hunters have the biggest variance in the game. either you go nuts or you surrend in turn 3, there like no inbetween.

I drafted a face hunter deck in arena, and the first matchup was a Mage who managed to get his hands on Reno. Needless to say I lost.
Faced off against an arena mage with Kazakus and Reno ... at 0-1
A miracle rogue with edwin, abortioneers, two tomb pillagers, and the rest of his deck was saps, eviscerates, azure drakes and sinister strike. This disgusting deck was at 0-2.
That poor paladin didn't know what hit him.

People keep saying that hunter is weak in arena right now, but, in my experience, that is far from the truth.
With the lack of 2 drops in this exp, if you focus your deck (as much as possible) in early things, and damage, and use your hero power as much as possible, I would say hunter can take advantage of the situation and actually be favoured.
Of course, you have to play in a different way, accept the smork into your life, and arena doesn't always allow you to do that, so yeah, not top tier, but definitely not as bad as people seem to suggest.
I know I only have a small sample size to form an opinion, but from my 3 hunter arenas in gadget, 2 of them have been 10 and 11, while my usual number is a little over 5, so... I can't complain about hunter at all.

It makes sense, too. When decks try to get too cute, with hand buffs, and getting greedy with their board clears... extreme aggro always feasts on them.
Also, that zipgunner gnoll guy is like... stupidly strong, especially if he buffs some charger.
It is harder in arena, since you can't exactly control what you get but... yeah, I think hunter is not bad right now if played propperly.

I mean, the only advice I can think of is... keep playing, and you will get better, and will understand the arena meta better. But apart from that... what do you want me to tell you?
Watch Hafu if you preffer the more aggresive playstyle, or Merps/Ratsmah if you preffer the more control oriented playstyle (well, or Kripp if you enjoy watching an adult crying like a baby all the time)

Thank you so much for playing arena again Trump. I know you probably don't even read the comments, but I've been forced to watch too much Kripp and Amaz and their salty attitudes, while entertaining at times, really started to get to me. Always great to watch your genuine reactions and cool, level-headed approach to this game. Something I simply can't do myself.

Even though Alleycat is the better minion to have for gameplay purposes because of the Battlecry it possesses over the Tabbeycat, Tabbeycat is by far the cuter one, therefore making both the gaming and viewing experiences better by trading in the Alleycat instead.

Oh my goodness, hunter is one of the best classes in arena but you have to draft extremely aggressively, that zombie chow cost him wins for sure
Hunter is actually incredibly good in arena right now, though.. And it's totally not true that hunter didn't get much love in the Gadgetzan arena-wise. Hunter actually got more love than warlock, because cache is better than the silly +3 attack for 3 mana, and picking multiple copies of felfire potion and abyssal enforcer is not that good. (I had a pretty funny run with 4 blastcrystal potions, 3 enforcers, felfire potion and demonwrath)
Yesterday I played Arena with that Heartharena plugin for the first time, I got 0 wins. And at the last match my computer turned itself off. I decided to never play arena again. fuck arena.
Fun fact: hunter is Kripp's best of Gadgetzan,average wins 10. Drafts aggro deck with crappy cards,with call of the wild and highmane and goes 12-2.Destroys control deck with slow hand at turn 5 .
