Can you do a video on changing your resume from "educationy" to more broad....like with skills gained from teaching but that can transfer to other job sectors?
Great video! As a former teacher myself, I can totally relate to these mistakes. It's so important for educators transitioning into new careers to be aware of these pitfalls. Thanks for sharing!

This video is a goldmine for teachers like me who are looking to switch careers. Your tips on avoiding these mistakes are invaluable. I'll be sharing this with my fellow educator friends who are considering a change. Keep up the fantastic work.
I just met a woman who was pouring liquor samples at a liquor store, who said she was a teacher & about to retire in June 2023. I’ve been thinking about doing a teaching degree. I asked this woman if she’d be happy taking to me on her day off at a Starbucks. I think my honesty freaked her out & well she took my phone number but I’m sure she won’t call. I’m super happy I found this video. It’s very informative & “that” day can keep her liquor in the weekends for her extra bar cash!
Almost 10 years of teaching & coaching. I'm beyond ready to get out of the profession but idk what else I can do! How do teachers find a job outside of education?!
I genuinely want to leave... I am an ICT teacher in secondary but I am worried that I would struggle to find something else or have to do something worse. I wouldn't mind just working with small groups or something.
Such a great video! I’m thinking of transitioning from teaching into another job position. You mentioned you contacted a job agency that helped you become an investment advisor and that sounds interesting. I can see myself doing that. What agency did you contact and how did you get started? I live in Canada so I just want to know what I can do here to set myself up for success. I hope to hear from you!
Hello Hannah! I am currently moving to Charlotte NC in August with my fiance all the way from Arizona! I am definitely having a lot of anxiety about what to do next and I'm not sure I want to teach in a traditional classroom anymore. I would love to hear your feedback or advice on my next steps in Charlotte. Thank youuuu! 😊
Yeah people really oversimplify transitioning out of teaching. It's really hard and most places won't even consider you unless you have direct experience in the same job within the same industry
you're so sweet, thnx for the advise. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and recently accepted to the Master's program in education at my college, so I'm very excited!!! I interviewed for a college advisor role but I realized I hated the role during the interview. It was a responsibility that I wasn't ready for. again, thank you bc sometimes we forgot that interviews are an opportunity to explore what we're looking for :)
Teachers, interviews outside of education require more than just confidence-you need the right words. My tutorials guide you through the interview process with the vocabulary that employers expect.
Being an art PE or music teacher is not easier or harder than being a classroom teacher. It’s just different and quite frankly we get shot on just as much as you all so I would not list that and I would question I would question your credibility for doing so.
You would do very well is SALES!!! So I copied two questions from the comments below... Love the video! Do you think you could do a video on creating a LinkedIn ? I’m so exhausted from teaching in public schools. I’m ready to start my new career as a stay-at-home mom to my dog. 😂
Same
ME TOO! 🥰
I am living the dream then! It's been great, my dogs are now my kiddos.
Public schools are brainwashed
Now that's the life

I just quit my teaching job, wayyyyyy to burnt out. Still figuring out what I am going to do
Start your day by reminding yourself: I lack nothing.
Love these ideas! It’s my first year and I’m miserable. I’ve begun looking at jobs in other fields, but haven’t known where to start. Thank you!!
get out while you can, everything will always be your fault
Same!

Oh my word that's me right now. I started my teaching job in South Korea 2/3 months and the passion is just not as present as I thought
@@vannessamogatusi8519 I hope you can get out soon.
Great tips! AND good luck to you in your new profession!!!
Seriously though, out of all the videos I watched on this subject, this one is the BEST! Just subbed!
Very helpful and inspiring video! Thank you for sharing your experiences and tips for other teachers in the same position as you were.
Great advice and so needed…from a current teacher. I wish you all the best!
I dislike teaching. I used to love it. I need out. I want completely out of education. I would like utilize my math degree.

There's nothing easy about transitioning from teaching into sales.

Music teacher here. It’s much more valuable and beneficial to have a music degree to teach in a public school.
Thank you for making this video.

Do you work year round now as a financial advisor? I thought of this but need summers off for my daughter.
An investment banker IS sales. I was a banker before I became a teacher.

You need more than vocabulary too. You need to actually be qualified for the job lol

Sales jobs are trash tbh but I get what youre saying
Amen to that!... sales quotas to fill, etc., wack that!! Also, I don't like the idea of "pushing" products/services stuff at people.
