"Self improvement is masturbation". At it's core it is meant to make you feel better about yourself. That's it's purpose. (This is overly simplistic, but it is the jist). Sure you've got big muscles, but are you a better person? This life ain't about just being happy. It's about becoming something more. There isn't one way to be happy. We don't all have to chase after the same goals. You don't have to be rich and jacked and dating the hottest girls to find success or fulfillment. What do you trully believe? What do you truly value? What truly matters to you? What do you truly want? And does that even truly matter? Surrender to the truth. Perhaps one of the hardest things to do. And I ain't perfect. No one is. So don't try to be perfect. Just try. We're gonna make it boys (and girls)💪. And Angelo, seriously thank you. Fantastic video. Stay humble 👊
It’s cope. You don’t have to have these things, but if you could snap your figures and have them, would you? Of course. Meaning it’s all cope. Using “mental health is more important than self improvement” as an excuse is self destructive. It does not mean you should just entirely stop improving other parts of your life. Another thing is, some people just aren’t happy being mediocre. No matter how good your mental health is, they can’t allow themself to be mediocre. Some people have a fire inside of them, and you just happen to not be one of them. It’s your life.
@MrTaker_ I think you might have missed the point a little bit. Allow me to clarify, this isn't about Mental health or any health for that matter. Those things are important but here the point is more about your character. Your values. You beliefs. What do you want?
I see that self-improvement is basically skill-race. All the "grinding" and "hustling" been labeled back in the days as a "rat race". The only difference is that in 80's-2000's this stuck to 9-5 corporate workers. now any "hustler" is an "entrepreneur". It's all madness. Still rat race. It's not about being happy. It's about putting an mask and pretending that you are happy, and advertise yourself as a "winner". I hate self-improvement grind culture. Most of those gurus don't care about your mental wellbeing. Especially dating coaches, confidence coaches and other red-pill gurus.

You just solved three problems of mine: My belief I was delusional My feeling of purposelessness even though I lost weight and became skinnier My doubts of self-improvement
A lot of what you said is true, for me I joined “self improvement” 2 years ago, I was depressed, hating life, and an underlying victim mindset (didn’t realize it was there until it was pointed out by self improvement my gurus). Following the advice of self-improvement which was to avoid victim mindset you need to “get some real hard on your life” to avoid the fake hard that is the victim mindset, so I started working out, eating better, losing weight, and it worked for a while (at curing my depression). But I never actually confronted the underlying reason why I used to eat poorly, why I used to stay up all night and get shitty sleep, I never actually confronted the reason why I hated my life, all I was doing was trying to force it to be better by “getting jacked” and 2 years later I didn’t get jacked and I’m sad again. Confronting the real issue is the only way to deal with it
“I didn’t get jacked” is all I really need to know. Of course self improvement isn’t going to improve your life, if your not improving your life! It’s that simple. No matter what this comes down to, it’s still your fault. The point of self improvement is not to just only focus on the gym. Everything you listed was about physical health. These things are very important, however they aren’t magically going to change your life forever. You simply didn’t do self improvement right. You’re supposed to focus on the gym, eating better, AND all of the mental health aspects. You at least realized that you needed to start focusing on mental health but instead of just adding that to what you already did to improve, you stopped EVERYTHING to only focus on mental health. That’s not how you go about it. At that point, it’s purely cope. You needed an excuse to quit, so you made up one. This is not some magical way of thinking that’s better than all of these self improvement “gurus”. The self improvement gurus ALSO focus on their mental health, while ALSO doing the important stuff like going to the gym, eating healthy, etc. You are literally just doing a lesser version of self improvement.
Thank you Brother. This helped me a lot. Also amazing production quality. Good Work. Do you have any advice on limiting beliefs and how to believe in oneself fully?

I'd be really curious where you got these terms from. Very interesting video so far. Still watching and will update at the end Edit: watched wll the way through, very good points made. We run from suffering and papier mache over it
This is great advice honestly. At the end of the day, a lot of it boils down, just actually do things, cus the only way to get better is by doing them. I've always viewed life as a game in that sense. Want to build confidence? Then do the things you're embarrassed to do. Want to get better at piano? Then play piano. Don't know what you want in life or who you want to be? Meditation. Take that time to actually learn who you are. Face your problems, don't run away from them. Embrace the discomfort, cus it's the only way you're gonna get better at things and the only way you'll find true happiness.
How to become authentic in an inauthentic world? We have to wear various masks during day to day life. Wish people would be more honest about what they think and feel.

I love this. It has been something that I have thought about a lot actually. I realized that all of the "self-improvement" stuff is just the same stuff. Almost like people are copying and pasting the same information. I was introduced to the "self-improvement" world a little over a year ago, and I admit, it helped me get a bit higher than where I was at, however, it felt like I eventually plateaued. I was doing the stuff, working out, meditating, journaling, all that stuff, but I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. Something just felt off about the whole situation. Then I had a realization, that we are all on different paths, and so one set of advice will not help everyone. In fact, it will only help a few individuals compared to the rest of the world. So thank you for making this video. Narcissism? You never were meant to be in this space my friend. As soon as someone says something that doesn’t hurt your feelings, now you’re pretending like you suddenly like self improvement. As soon as someone is soft and doesn’t want you to do all of the intense hard things about self improvement, suddenly it’s all great. You’re not on self improvement. Your on purely cope, and nothing more.
Went through the video the second time to try pick up notes, don't really have any... your main point was just that it's way easier to follow the generic status improvement self improvement advice instead of actually confronting your real problems, and that it's important to be honest with yourself and experientially check reality to make sure you're not avoiding uncomfortable truths about yourself to be able to feel more grandiose.
Bro your content is so good it's unreal LOL. Your flow is so natural and the tempo just hits the perfect balance between entertainment and info... taking notes taking notes on my end 😈😈

You are articulating elusive truths so eloquently, at such a young age, without inconsistencies or contradictions. Gives me hope that maybe our collective future is salvageable.
2 weeks ago I was in a situation, where I realized exactly what you said in this Video: I stepped out of my comfort zone and understood for the first time in my life, that overthinking everything with the main goal of not being weird will make me unhappy and stop myself from being who I want to be. So I tried to change in some situations and did things I wanted to do, with no regard what other people will think. The results were incredible and people that triggered my social anxiety, reacted most of the time positivly. And even If not, for the first time I did not care. Sadly since then I got recommended all these other self improvement videos but yours was the first one, that really could deliver what I dont like about modern self improvement. Thank you for the video, you really inspired me and put in to words what I thought and felt in some ways too.
I'm genuinely pretty good ignoring the don't be weird voice. The length of time someone is going to spend thinking about that embarrassing thing that happened once just isn't worth the energy. Oops, I did something that looks stupid... Oh well, they're not going to remember it in 15 minutes anyway.
Bro you're the men. keep it up i hope you wont sell your soul to be the same as all those self improvment gurus i believe you will need to somehow monetize your content at some point, i believe you will find very creative way to do so without selling bullshit courses which there is already endless of those.

Love this video more than any
big facts
Bro your content is so good it's unreal LOL. Your flow is so natural and the tempo just hits the perfect balance between entertainment and info... taking notes taking notes on my end 😈😈
bro is really describing reality design 101 awesome video
I always appreciate a video packed with real and original insight. This is what self-improvement content should be.
I'll have to watch it a few more times for it to sink in.
I don't normally comment on videos, but your advice was eye-opening to me. You're exactly what the self-improvement space needs right now. Keep it up
You are articulating elusive truths so eloquently, at such a young age, without inconsistencies or contradictions. Gives me hope that maybe our collective future is salvageable.
2 weeks ago I was in a situation, where I realized exactly what you said in this Video:
I stepped out of my comfort zone and understood for the first time in my life, that overthinking everything with the main goal of not being weird will make me unhappy and stop myself from being who I want to be.
*said 👍
You are so real cl and also i respect how you don't over edit your content with bs dopamine spikes
Cheers bro!
I'm genuinely pretty good ignoring the don't be weird voice. The length of time someone is going to spend thinking about that embarrassing thing that happened once just isn't worth the energy. Oops, I did something that looks stupid... Oh well, they're not going to remember it in 15 minutes anyway.
This vid hit me hard af. Great job man.
Lying is very hard for me, that’s why I’m trying to learn to be a better liar.
Bro you're the men.
keep it up
i hope you wont sell your soul to be the same as all those self improvment gurus
i believe you will need to somehow monetize your content at some point, i believe you will find very creative way to do so without selling bullshit courses which there is already endless of those.
lmao absolutely hilarious. GG well played. baited saying it's something different. but in the end it's literally the exact same thing.
Why are people talking about simple things for so long, giving things apart of self improvement a different name
I really agree with the idea that you can't have victim mentality and be winning at a difficult hobby simmultaneusly
Just live. That's all there is and will be. Doesn't gets simpler or more complex than that.
7:21 KEY! Great video my friend, we need to bring down the narcissist era we are immersed
self-destruction

Whats the name of the song at 4:20? 👀👀👀👀
not to ring my own bell, but I had this all figured out on my own by 16, thanks anyways :)
And how did you get money for all of that from? This amount of freedom comes with a material price
I live in a small community i dont want them all thinking im weirder than they already do 😂
buzz word upon buzz word. speak succinctly and simply. i thought you were on to something at first but you lost my interest.
