You have very informative videos if someone is interested in what the future may bring. What's (almost) impossible to know in advance is which of these technologies (if any) will have widespread adaptation.
I find your videos quite informative. Please keep them coming. A question for Ian on Gaudi2, it’s TDP is 600W. So why would an 8 Gaudi2 system have 6 4KW power supplies? Isn’t it over kill?
So I understand as this being the final episode of the first season? Will there be a 2024 season for AI hardware? Maybe we end up getting a HPC chips podcast will all the custom CPUs (like the one for Jupiter)
The reason its on the same package as the cpu is because of latency and shared memory. You have the same problems with discrete gpu's... its no noticable problem in gaming but when doing simulations and things like ratracing its much better to have the least amount of latency and shared memory is ideal. Its the future. Maybe in the future we can switch chiplets as an upgrade

No uses for AI in laptops? Like there won't be a cortana copilot in absolutely everything.

STDP training is really difficult

Shoes on the couch? Must be a rental
We debated about that, because it's a deep couch, and do you really want to see our socks. Mine probably had holes in
AMZN & MSFT are the ones to break the CUDA stranglehold. Both are designing their own custom AI chip which won’t be using CUDA.
Siblings?
Unplug Skynet!!! :D
