My highschool physics teacher came to school and I taught classes in a space suit. He was a retired NASA astronaut who took up teaching because he was bored. Your class was never boring Mr. Feldman.
I was lucky. The science teachers in my high school were like these guys (I graduated in 1980). There was a running "feud" between the physics teacher and the chemistry teacher. The chemistry teacher made explosions in class nearly every week, and ended up with holes in the ceiling tiles for which he got into trouble. So he'd switch out his tiles with the ones in the physics room. The physics teacher set up all sorts of things so we could test the things we were learning. Most of it would not be allowed today, and I suspect my comment would be yanked if I outlined any of the things we did! We had a ton of fun in class and learned a ton in spite of ourselves.
Just wanted to flex one of my teachers back in elementary school, she was a very fun teacher and an awesome volleyball coach. She's a nun by the way...
I had a third grade teacher that never gave us homework and gave us candy at the end of the school year let’s just say I worked extra hard later on in life because of her
There was an aid for a special needs kid in my band class. I remember thinking she was super cool, and we became good acquaintances, meaning we'd talk from time to time. One time I was in the lunch line and the lunch lady asked if I wanted fries. I hesitated because I wasn't a fan of the school's fries. That aid was behind me, and said words of wisdom I'll never forget: "Never say no to fries." I just had to take the fries, and I live by that wisdom every day. Also one time, a year later, it was Halloween and we were allowed to dress up at school. Apparently I was the only one who didn't think I was too old for it, because I went all out as Spinel from Steven Universe. I had a wig, makeup, everything. No one else dressed up. I felt so embarrassed. A few people recognized the character, but not much. I thought I got the day wrong, and I almost had a panic attack going into school. But two teachers helped me feel better. My English teacher, who was probably both the coolest and weirdest teacher ever, told me to embrace the awkwardness. It was so in character of her to say that, it just made me feel better. Another teacher, a different aid actually, recognized who I was dressed up as, and we had a great conversation on how impactful the show was on us. I walked through the halls with confidence after those two encounters.
7:01 ...hm. I saw this pic before, and it didnt paint it with a good light. These students were punished by forcing them to sit and hold hands, while their classmates made fun of them. Basically, publicly shaming and humiliating them by forcing them to do something "gay", and therefore feeding in to the idea that being gay and holding hands with another man is shameful and that it is worth being ridiculed. And even ignoring that, even ignoring the gay part, these students are still put in a public situation that cause them embarrassment, while numerous students laughed and took vids and pics, and will likely continue to make fun of them even once the punishment is over. Wow, what a cool teacher. Subjecting students to be ridiculed by their peers.
Actually, the picture from 6:56 is when two students came into a fight and the teacher punished them, they had to sit next to each other on the schoolyard and hold hands like theyre in love. Everyone was allowed to take photos. The teacher was sued later and lost his job. This picture doesnt belong in a cool teachers compilation.
the whole sitting in yard and allowing to take picture must be so humiliating for the kids.. damn, if he would've done this inside the class just for one lecture while confiscating phones should've been the better way to solve the problem.
I remember when i entered in middle School all teachers provisors canteen ladies etc... for the 1st april wear one thing weird like : my math teacher was wearing a sewing meter instead of her belt. this was a cool Day, the professors let us stick april fools on them and my french teacher (i live in france) said she lost our tests and we have to redo it, she was joking. Im getting nostalgic :D
I had 3 teachers that were cool like that. 2 in middle school that tag teamed, both red heads, cool as heck! And 1 in high school , 11th & 12th grade also coolest teacher ever, played the guitar, just down to earth.
2:38 Nice body suit. 2:43 and 6:22 need to get together. 4:19 now THAT is a body suit! 5:56 And this teacher not only crossed that line, but then came back and erased it. 6:58 ???
In 6th grade when we were doing persuasive writing we did something about chocolate and the winner got a full chocolate bar! Everyone else still got chocolate but they only got Hershey kisses, that teacher is still my favorite teacher I’ve had until this day.
I like to doodle in class alot and one time I drew on the back of a paper without realizing that I had to turn it in, but she wrote a little note with a smily face so I started to draw on the backs of all my papers (unless she told us to write hypotheses there) And on the last day, we had a big test, and she gave me an extra 3 points with the note "Art Credit"
In order to keep my Resource Special Education students from stealing my pencils, I wrote on them with a fine point permanent pen, “ Stolen from Special Ed.” They didn’t care.
My band teachers are the best teachers in the world. My grandmother is narcissistic and is just annoying and at concerts one of her granddaughters (me or my sister) are playing at, she will try to walk up to us, which isn’t allowed, not to mention she will only answer calls when she puts it on speaker because she believes that putting your phone by your ear will make you deaf within like on call. (She believes in a lot of weird stuff, based on her own beliefs) and after a concert, she went back into the school to go into the band room and talk to my sister! She’s not allowed in there! My mum texted my sister about this. My sister told my band teachers and as my grandmother was about to walk into the band room, one of the teachers stopped her and said. “You aren’t allowed in here” and my grandmother said. “But my granddaughter is in there! I wanna talk to her!” And the teacher said “no, you aren’t allowed in here” and my grandmother left. My band teachers often have kids in their class who talk to them about their personal problems and the teachers listen. One of my band teachers refers to her as the grandmonster whenever my sister tells a story about her
I am a teacher, and thrilled to see many of these brilliantly creative attempts to inspire, motivate and teach! Unfortunately, there are a few that cross unacceptable boundaries, violating the trust of parents and children. Promoting deviancy and sexualizing to/in children is child abuse. That is NOT worthy of praise or recognition. Matthew 18:1-9
...which ones are you referring to? the only one that crosses the line is 6:56 because those kids were being punished for fighting by being embarrassed in front of everyone.
Good Evening! I can understand why you might draw that conclusion. I should have started with Ephesians 4:15, emphasizing that both truth and love are vitally essential. The Matthew passage should have began with verse 6. And After Matthew 18:6-9, I should have added James 3:1. Additionally, If I had thought of it and had the time, I should have gone through listing all of the harmful false teachings. If I recall correctly the video commends children's creativity when their answers were wrong or they had no answer at all. Of course it is wise to appreciate their creativity. But to give them credit for wrong answers is counterproductive, and teaches the wrong lesson. Edit: I went back and watched to refresh my memory. Most of these were brilliantly creative teachers doing a great job. But everyone else was already fawning all over them for that. The Spirit moved me to point out that creativity and ingenuity can be misplaced and harmful: 1:26 Sock = condom - This is the parents job and teachers have no right to violate that. 2:36 Hot teacher underwear costume. Don't misunderstand. I would find it difficult not to enjoy this spectacle, but I would not be learning anything good. It is almost certain that more students learned the wrong lesson, than those who only learned good lessons. 7:01 Making boys hold hands in public. That shameful punishment is also most likely to produce more harm than good. 7:54 "Gay" teacher. Unless This is referring to a "happy" teacher, it is an oxymoron and any school stooping so low should be exposed to the public's eye. Many responsible personnel should be fired. Hope that helps. God bless!
Update: I watched the video again to refresh my memory. There are a lot of great, brilliant, creative teachers here. They have already been receiving acolades from many others. But there are a few that should not be praised: 1:26 Sock = condom. This is the parents' job. Teachers have no right to violate that boundary. 2:36 Hot teacher underwear costume. This is almost certain to get more of the wrong kind of attention and teach the wrong lesson. 7:01 Making boys hold hands in public is a shameful punishment that will almost certainly cause more harm than good. 7:54 "Gay" teacher. Unless this is referring to a happy teacher, the school in question owes their parents and community a lot of apologies, and firings of all responsible for putting such an oxymoron in the position of teacher over children. That is child abuse. We can and should love all people regardless of the sinful life choices and practices they choose, but there is no justification for subjecting children to that. Praying for teachers, admin, HR, principles, school boards, parents, students, and commentators... Blessings! (=0)

Funny stuff if it wasn't so tragic! One only has to look at UA-cam videos and comments left by 'educated graduates' to see that even the antics of the teachers doesn't get through, and they (a lot of students) are JUST NOT GETTING IT!
My highschool physics teacher came to school and I taught classes in a space suit. He was a retired NASA astronaut who took up teaching because he was bored. Your class was never boring Mr. Feldman.
Boy, I never had any teachers that cool. Those kids are lucky!
I did. My teacher let us have parties whenever we wanted, as long as we brought everything.
I think this is exclusively American schools bc this is defo not a British school thing
same, homeschooled!
You know whats more awesome than these teachers??
These teachers teaching in the same school. That'd be crazy.
If that school existed I would definitely transfer

These are the best kind of Teachers, they haven't forgotten what it's like to be a kid. Certainly makes a difference to learning.

I’m living by that advice from now on. Also those teacher are so amazing I’m glad they made you feel better

Female Teachers: **Fine, Normal, Simple**
Male Teachers: **dudes with blue t-shirts and a cap with an iconic mustache.... which is cool**

That's awful! The kids look so embarrassed! No one should be punished like that!
This was Awesome Thank you for sharing.
Damn I had more than one good laugh! :D Both my parents are teachers, and my dad was an eccentric one, someone worthy in this video. :)
The "Chemistry teacher" at 1:58 is a scene out of the show Breaking Bad. LOL
