It's true that if people would play it now then it would be played better, it was also true in the past. I myself played RoC from its beginning to its end and skipped out on TFT as long as I could. Whenever good TFT players would enter the scene and actually learn RoC, they dominated it with superior micro and an aggressive playstyle. But it's hard to put a label on what was the best and not, there were a lot of different patches with vastly different metas. Even the elo system changed a lot from patch to patch. Crucible was a popular map in all game modes (apart from 1v1 of course, was not in it) Orcs cleared the expo spot and creep camp with an altar and a burrow behind it. When you placed the altar correctly the creeps would attack it but just enough to not kill it, thus you could damage the creeps a lot with your burrow before your hero was out, it was a very efficient way of creeping. Tower creeping middle worked only vs noobs, good players would usually do the middle orange camp directly due it always being a really good item that dropped from the ogres there. Hunting the items from the middle goldmines was also a thing. It was a creepers game and truth be told, a lot of people that played RoC that later advanced to TFT had a rough time because of the higher level of gameplay in TFT.
OMG I remember Screwin since about 2012, 14 years ago! He's the Chieftain of GoSu Clan. He's such a friendly guy. I kinda miss the people on WC3. I don't play anymore, however I've made so many friends from there.
47:10 "it freaking sticks with you" yea its the Arthas evil face... we are. Well and Orcchads being honour Orcs killing gods slash demons and saving the hatefull human slash nelves planet.
Oh man, I really wish I discovered Warcraft in its prime time, I would have been living golden childhood. I was born in 2000 tho and came across Warcraft about 12 years later, haha so too late anyway, and also had no internet back then in the house. Good old times 😁
@Grubby . In this Game, Heavy Armor is the Equivalent of Light Armor! Comparisson : Light Armor (TfT) takes 200% from Piercing, 125% from magic attacks extra dmg. Heavy Armor (RoC) takes 150% from Piercing, 0% extra dmg from magic attacks Medium Armor is the equivalent of Heavy Armor! So towers can gladly attack melee units (except for t1-melee) Medium armor (RoC) takes 200% (e.g. Shaman, Priest, Sorc) extra dmg from magic attacks, rest deals full dmg to them Chims/Wyrms have piercing attack meaning casters are totally vulnerable to them ! In this game since Dryads are unarmored, they are extremly vunerable ... Grubby I would love to join a game in Wc3 RoC with you. Since reforged upgrade i couldnt play it anymore.... Favourite maps are the Crucidible, Plaguelands and Divide and Conquer!
Big honor that Grubby played with us Reign of Chaos. Anyone is welcome to play RoC. It is not easy, as many people think :D.
As a reign of chaoser, atheist, vegan, and crossfitter, this is really cool. Also, I’m not any of those things.

Heavy armor wind riders were crazy. I didn't recall if other units so cheesy, and there was no batrider.
Number 1 rule of FFA: do NOT piss off more than 1 player at the same time! Yet you still managed to win :) Happy Anniversary!
That Far Seer kill on pink was the clutch which turned the game into Grubby's favor, even though Pink had stronger army.
9:43 Ah, the LotR references I craved for
Man you're my favorite wc3 player. You and happy are the best. The control of troop movement. And decision making is absolutely incredible. Big fan
Mass wyverns quick tech was the best orc strat for ROC, I was ranked 11 for team games on my region
This was literally my favorite map ever in wc3 😊
5:00 omg unlucky :D

Amazing game, huge nostalgia, still amazing game
Wow what a great game. Can't believe how long it took to see one protection scroll be used. Those things were godly in RoC.
Yayyyy FFA!
This was my fav 4x4 map in roc I wish they'd bring it back
Probably the best map
Keep it up!
