Idea for your whisk and opener…you could keep receipt and items packaged for rest of the month (only open if you actually need to use them) & just return them so the spending total is less for January? Also, your jacket is so cute!!!
Good luck with your no buy. I’m doing the same. For the can opener or similar items that are wanted but not emergency items, I try to keep my eyes out for them at thrift stores. $10 is kind of crazy imo. I don’t go to Target anymore bc it’s too “fun” to browse and shop there.
As someone who has completed a no spend year, I highly recommend not even going inside stores for the first few months. Just do pick-up or online for ABSOLUTE necessities. Stores are such triggers...way too many psychological ploys go into marketing and advertising. It is way too easy to buy mindlessly if you go inside.

Good idea but I already opened them. I did use the opener already! Thanks, love this little jacket.

Was that the first day of Jan when you fell off? 😂 it’s hard just jump right on again. Good luck.
Second day but I’ve done well since then!

My issue is usually online shopping. I can stay out of stores pretty easily (normally).
I don't see the problem...these are staples...needs not wants...maybe you need a larger budget...
I think it was because it was only day 2 of my challenge. I was hoping to not spend so much right out of the gate.
First mistake for me, is leaving the house😂 Went to Aldi and wanted to spend 100$ but spent 200$🥲
Right!?!
