No doubt. Always carry an extra. I saw some rescue boat ideas on here that I liked. I tried one with some fishing line or string that attaches to the back of the rescue boat and about a foot after, you put a float, then a few more feet, you put another float. You send the rescue boat out and then circle around the stranded boat until the line and floats hook onto the stranded boat by the rudder or propeller. Then you just bring it in. It's super easy and effective.
My first RC boat, an SR80 arrived yesterday... I gave it a once over, swapped the servo for a metal geared one & fitted a Dumborc radio system then took it for its maiden voyage.... It was such a thrill. I've been into RC cars for years, I've got around 40 odd of all types & sizes... I love getting a new one but it's very rare that I get super excited.... This boat had me shaking with adrenaline.! 😂 😂 Especially when I thoughy I'd lost it... it was a bit choppy further out from shore, it hit a wave, wiped out & capsized... I honestly thought it was a gonner.! I let out a giant "OH F**K" & began panicking.! It righted itself though & I brought it straight in & went home to calm down.! After that experience I've just ordered a cheap boat & some pool noodles to make a "rescue boat".! 😉 😉 😂 😂
Lolz.. rc boat almost cost my life.. it was a horrible time when it was stuck in the middle of the lagoon and it didn't self righted. I swam for it until I was almost totally exhausted in the middle.. water was too deep. My legs my arms almost , can no longer move due to fatigue and exhaustion. Luckily, I still made it to the shore. I almost drowned..
@@ErnestPJayThat's a shame. Would you recommend a higher Amp ESC? I'm looking at buying an SR80 Pro and I'd love to hear any owners advice you may have thought of since owning this boat. Thanks a lot

4:54 How come it overheated? Were you out for a long time or running 6s? Or just random failure?
Overheated.. when I recovered it the battery connector just melted.. too much heat. Idk what made it overheat
