Thank you for watching my Exeter City Tour video! Hope this help you feel more at ease when coming to Uni! More tours to come, comment which one you'd like to see next to help with your student life! 😍
Good video! I was born in St Thomas ,Exeter but I have lived abroad for many years.I have not been back for ages and this video reminds me of my time there although some shops have vanished and new ones have opened up.I certainly miss it at times especially the summers with Dawlish Warren and Exmouth so near by.
Hello! I haven't logged in on my youtube channel for over 2 years so apologies for not replying. Thank you very much for your feedback!! And yes it is COMPLETELY different, even in the past 4 years it has changed so much!
Hello! I haven't logged in on my youtube channel for over 2 years so apologies for not replying. Thank you very much for your feedback, very much appreciated! How is it going?
something you forgot is the street going down next to urban outfiters. there is now always a person with a sign pointing down there with the sign saying 'vintage clothing stores' there are loads of aesthetic/weird clothing shops down there that I love! seems like a sketchy place but its fun to look around
It's called Gandy Street and is the inspiration for one of the streets from Harry Potter (JK Rowling was a student at Exeter university) I'm not a fan of Harry Potter so I don't know what street.
Nice video. My major concern is the lack of canopy cover in urban areas. If you take a look at Queen street you might as well call it Grey street. No trees or planters - it is a rather boring street with zero nature value. I hope to change this with the support of the ECC team in the future
Hello! I have seen some of your videos and they are pretty helpful. Iam coming to exeter in september to study at university and in your video at the end you talked aboutt some secret coffe shops. have you uploaded any video about it? haha
How did I miss it!!!?? I am so sorry I didnt see it and i am even more sorry that I didnt do that video HOWEVER you find plenty of cute secret coffee shops near the cathedral if you are willing to explore! Also I just read you are going to exeter! If you want a cool community of people to talk to (only incoming freshers) then I made a fb group for that! Dont know if you are already on it but heres the link if you are interested in it! facebook.com/groups/exeterfreshers2018/
Hey, thanks for the video it was really good!!! I'm looking to study at Exeter next year and was just wondering if the prices for the shops on campus were reasonable and if you used them or the shops in town more?? Thanks
Hello! It depends for what exactly! This gave me an idea: how about I go into the shops on campus and do a review of them? if you could give me a list of what exactly you are looking for maybe that could help? 2 people already commented on one of my videos last week and I made a video especially for them, so the more specific you are the better and I can provide what you need :D !!
Yeah, that's a good idea and I guess mainly Tesco type shops just anywhere you can get groceries from, but also any shops they have on campus would be helpful 😊Thanks for the reply

John Brownbill exactly, they need to have a downtown area with buildings, this is same mundane small area you will find in any small english town and city with a high street that they call city centre and same ugly terraced houses and small narrow roads
@John Brownbill as an american, it seems reasonably compact and user friendly as far as shops and markets and level of activity The high street concept is something the UK does well.
Hello! I haven't logged in on my youtube channel for over 2 years so apologies for not replying. Although I always appreciate feedback, I would like to underline that filming videos alone and editing them is a very hard job. I wouldnt consider this video "misleading" but rather not in tune with your subjective view of the city. I did my best with the time I had at the time. However you are right that there is so much more to the city and that's why I would encourage you to make your own video so that you can add value. Its always easy to judge other's work and very hard to make your own. Anyway... this is no biggie and I hope that all is well with you!
Was born there moved away living in london now for 5 years believe it or not. Same shit new day in Devon, same regular faces was just so dull and boring. Glad I was raised in the country but glad to finally move on.
Hello! I haven't logged in on my youtube channel for over 2 years so apologies for not replying. I can imagine that living there for all those years must have been boring haha I personally had lots to do thanks to the Uni life and societies / communities of people doing things all the time, but as a local yea.. I would understand your POV for sure!
i dont disagree with you.. it depends how people invest that precious time in uni. But student life doesnt just incorporates the uni life. For me student life includes the every day learnings i do on the internet, about how to start a business or how to better myself or how to make passive income. I am a student even now that i ve graduated. I will always be a student and thats what i mean when I mention student life. :)
Majority of degrees are worthless...And any halfwit can walk into uni now.... People go for good time, knoing thy wnt have to pay back the money, but can have a good moan about the debt ha As for saying that most jobsbrequire a degree..?really? The people who built this entire world including unis coffee shops and students accmodation had no degree....

Misleading video of Exeter, it’s a medieval city, you’ve basically skipped everything that counts

Student life? An extension of school, a useless degree, and debt....go for it

Depends what people are studying and if their degree will help them find a job that requires a degree
Bachelor's degrees are pretty much required for most jobs now
Majority of degrees are worthless...And any halfwit can walk into uni now....
