Why on Earth would you get rid of the spare? I have had a number of flat tires in my H3 over the years and was extremely happy that 1) I had a spare and 2) it was super easy to get to being mounted on the back gate.
I feel you, I don't get it either, takes away from the H3 look and more than likely destroys resale, I wouldn't buy it without the spare, but I suppose somebody would, I paid for the spare, so it stays. And if you're worried about weight savings, bike racks, rear hitch baskets.... Then the H3 isn't for you. The good news is, his can be removed and the original tire rack put back on, I've seen some UA-cam videos where they've totally destroyed their truck deleting the spare and made it permanent.
nice! i actually bought the kit from you guys months back and did a video about it. got alot of watches and questions and sent them your way. your vidoe is better though lol.
So, the box looking device that was removed under the tire mount is a Air Pressure Vent Grill Trim. It has a check valve (flaps) designed to allow air to escape from the interior when driving with the ventilation on in once-thru mode and they block the exhaust fumes from getting in while standing idle with the wind to your back. Do you have spacers available to allow this device to still be used since it is a safety device?
Hello on a separate shoe I see that you have wheel spacers on your car and can you tell me if those are 1 inch or 2 inch spacers? And if you’ve had any issues of any kind after you put them in
My 07 H3 is getting a new paint job and I have one of these plates ready to go. Wondering if I should put some sort of rubber gasket material on the plastic spacer that touches the body to protect the paint?
The spacers stand it off so that it shouldn't touch the paint. You can put some thin foam gasket on the sides and top of the vent if you are worried about water getting in.
I ordered the lights from this link. They did not fit up, nipples and wiring were not compatible only the light inserts. Great Idea for the lights but I believe it may be the wrong link. You guys are awesome with DIY info, which is why I tried it. Just a heads up.
Did the lights bolt up? The wiring is completely dependant on the lights you choose. I can check the links since it's been a while since they were created.
Hi! I went to your site to buy this... but i see many option to choose... I WANT THE SAME black 3d h3 logo from this video (Exactly one you installed here)... which is it? : " h3 logo etched or h3 logo raised " ? just to confirm Thanks!
@@xrumba we don't paint them. Everything comes brushed stainless. Order unassembled and paint the parts you'd like. If you need a pop rivet tool use the links above in the description. Otherwise, we inclued all the parts you'll need to assemble and install.
Some guys have added foam weather stripping to prevent water getting in but since the door has weep holes already if any water were to get in it would drain out.
Nice but I would rather not take my tire off, I accidentally lightly touched a Kia with the hummer and the tire saved both of the damaged from dents of scratched
It's certainly not for everyone but for those not worried about flat repair or don't really feel the need to carry a spare these are an option. Thx for the comment
@@BadlandIndustries I was right then, nice. I assume it's more than the average, I'm gonna use a kia Sportage as a average (2017 or so) and the track is likely 4 times wider. The entire length of my hummer including the push bar I'd say my hummer is 16'3 long, absolutely dwarfing the other midsize SUVs and is probably is the only midsize off-roader
really bad idea to cover vents in cars, that's there so your ears don't rupture when air bags activate. sure there's a gap but it's still impeding the flow and will cause a pressure spike.
Lol my sales state otherwise. I can't explain why people want to take this spare off but at least these plates allow them to cover up the massive vent hole on the back door.

Some guys do it because they don't off road. Some put it on the roof. Some remove the plate when they go on a trip.

Very cool! I like the 3D H3 one and the flag!
best h3 spare tire delete on the market.
Ive got 24s on my h3 and they were discontinued when I went to buy a 5th wheel this is a nice addition.

No sir. Most block it off and others leave it wide open. If you have your fan on air is always coming out.

Hey man so what about the square hole were the black plastic vent is? No need to cover that so water won’t get in?
The bottom of the door has weep holes. If youre concerned about it you can use foam weather seal on the sides and top of the hole

Wrong! Having that spare tire came in handy when I drove over a pair of pliers on a road trip.

Where do you buy this part from? Exact same one?
What was the reasoning behind that vent?
It's an air vent for when you close the doors pressure isn't built up instantly.
How can I contact you for you to make me the same exact one! Need asap please

Is the spare tire monitored by the tire air pressure module? Will tire mount deletion mess the monitoring system up?
That would depend if you had TPMS.
@@BadlandIndustries Yes I do have TPMS
@@yingding9479 in your spare too? You could mount it to the roof bars or have the spare tpms removed and deprogramed.
Бред, моему хаммеру почти 20 и с задней дверью всё отлично и запаска удачно расположена, зачем это делать???
Some people keep their spare tire inside, others remove it, and use a tow truck when they get a flat.
How do you keep water out of the tailgate?
some guys have used foam weather stripping. we've never seen any issue with it. the door has weep holes if any water ever gets in

How much will the punisher cost
About $100. Follow the link to the website to see all our options and prices

How big is the hole to add the LED backup light ?
Standard flush mount led pod on Amazon.

Where did u get your tail lights ..? Thank u in advance
those are the older style lights the new ones linked here ---> amzn.to/3uGyr2N dont have quite as many leds but still look very similar.

Why get rid of the spare👎 Looks better with it in my opinion

those exact ones aren't available anymore but there's a few like them on amazon
