This is a very good video, and I am surprised that it has had so few views. Feline depression IS a problem, and I have been dealing with it.
Trixie, my cat I rescued as a tiny kitten 4 years ago from a busy road, grew up in my household with a dog, an older cat, myself and my husband. This last year, one by one, these personalities disappeared from from her life. Thankfully, my husband came home, but he was in the hospital for 5 days.
Trixie noticed all this, and after each disappearance, she roamed endlessly looking foe the lost 'person' including my husband.
Fortunately, a 6 month old cat was dumped at our local post office, and I decided to take her home, praying that this new one would get along with Trixie. It took several days, but the two cats have become good playmates, and Trixie is acting far younger than she used to. Before, she slept almost non-stop. I thought that was a VERY bad sign; that she was badly depressed and I needed to do something! Thankfully, Lil' Gal came along.
This video came along one month AFTER I had been able to solve MY problem, but this is a very REAL problem for pet parents. Cats and dogs have complex emotions, and DO experience deep emotions, especially grief.
Thank You for all you are trying to do. ♥♥♥♥

Thank you for sharing Trixie’s story-what a beautiful example of love and care! 💕 It’s inspiring how you helped her through such a tough time, and bringing Lil’ Gal into her life was such a thoughtful solution. You’re absolutely right-cats do feel grief, and your actions show how much of a difference we can make as pet parents. Wishing you, Trixie, and Lil’ Gal all the best! ❤️🐾
