First of all its not heavier then new ones, or the difference is small. No one takes them to hard enduro places, its not designed for that. Most of them have ABS. The seat height has two options. And the battery place is normal, you only need to take out two bolts and you can lift the tank so you can get access to battery. And in two years I didnt need that.
Obviously it's too heavy to off-road. If you want to off-road, you need an off-road bike. It's fine on road. If it's too short for you, then so are almost all other bikes - the BMW is one of the tallest out there. You can get the 1150gs with ABS. You don't have to take the tank off to get to the battery, you just need to know how to do it. You also don't need to disconnect anything from the tank. Yes, the headlight is crap.
@@aha12 You need to make a tank prop, 14cm long. I used some 5cmx1.5cm timber. Remove the tank fixing bolt - leave everything else connected. Lift up the back of the tank, put the prop on the frame rail and the tank is then clear enough to access and remove the battery. No need to disconnect fuel lines or connectors. You can even do it with a bagster tank cover on - just loosen the belts a bit.
