You are like a genius! You people amaze me who you take one thing completely efff it up in order to create something completely different as if you did it in pure Luck but it us completely purposely and perfectly made. Who do you do it? My Brain is on fire.
Are you a fan of using ablutions arpeggiator for mid or top layers to the roller? A lot of times, I will use an arpeggiator for layers between 100-400 hz and then use a separate mono sub layer for below 100, utilizing a traditional midi pattern.
hey short question, if i turn on the mono button in the voicing, my phase seems to change every time in the lowend and affect the Kickdrum in my Lowend Group. Its never the same. is it something i can change or is it not really important? its stable when i turn the mono button off but sounds different. Thank you!
I recently learned you can type in the note length: ex. 1/4, 1/8, and , 1/16th note in the decay length. It's been helpful figured I'd share that fact.
I use a sync'd delay to make 8th & 16th note bass echoes off one, using feedback. Then I freeze or bounce the clip to have a solid block of measure/measures.
I don't know if this is cubase thing, but I'm sure my serum doesn't respond to velocity, in fact a couple of my synths don't, it's project destroying when you've got to manually lower the gain on each note because changing velocity doesn't change anything 😕
IMHO Im so proud and lucky we had no one showing us how to do stuff...not realising how ppl may get limitted by telling them "You can do this on /with bass"... I never had "a bass" in my techno... Now I have ppl coming into sessions with "one exact sound"... You cant tell who did what because they all copy some steps they learned from videos like this... I hope you are proud of yourself everytime you see own face in the mirror, making few coins, for showing everyone "how to make rolling bass in 60sec" cause now no one has to spend any more time doing basslines... We all need to spend our time with our production, dont watch videos which will only build barriers around your imagination and creativity... Design your "basslines" (any sound in your track) from something else then on a video tutorial. Learn how to sculpt sound so it does what you want. Learn techniques, try making a basslike from white noise... Crush the sound into oblivion and then sculpt it into...bassline. Then play it to someone who knows about production, even this guy... But let him show you how to mono bass frq, if its too wide in the "sound/instrument", andnlet him tell you WHY is he doing it, now only HOW. These techniques will help you to learn, and grow... it might take weeks to get the "instrument" right... If ppl only "do stuff quickly like in this vid" theres no wonder everything sounds the same because everybody does the same...

I had no clue you can automate the velocity with the filter. Thanks Will. Great tip.
You're welcome, glad you know this now! 🙌🏻
Me neither, gonna try this in fl studio, but I don’t think it’s gonna work
@@GermanFragEditingit will!
Yeah me too, great advice!

You made it mono then increased the unison to make it wide?
What about phasing issues with the double baselines & the kick?

🔥Sounds wicked. So how about a Bitwig project?
Alas, I don't use Bitwig so no luck on this front, I am afraid :)
how do all this with Vital ?
Random phase on the sub?
turn random to 0
that's what caught me as well
S**T boi, thats good!
Apprecaite it! 🙌🏻🙂
After years of doing rolling bass i can say this is the best tutorial ever
Thanks a ton for your comment! Happy to hear!
Remember to turn the Random knob to zero so you won't have phase issues !
Great tip, thank you for sharing!

How do you connect ableton velocity and serum filter?
💯💯🧠❤️
I wonder if you could do that velocity trick in Logic… any ideas?
You should ask a Logic Pro user :)

Hah... Have you checked with Cubase support?

@@EDMTips Thanks Will :)
the bass is cool the bit at the end... no so much !
Thanks for the feedback, Tim!
Too much reverb , over processed end result.
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!
Im not even watching your video, because I cant pause. Why are you against your own viewrs? Such a shame...
Not sure I understand. I am trying to build a mini train ride.
Good for you! 👍🏻
Why is techno so popular? Sounds boring to me
Each to their own! It’s not my favourite genre but there are a lot of great techno tracks out there 🙂
@@EDMTips right!!
Can we stop copying anyma? His music is really basic and shit
There is no obligation to do it :)
Blah Blah Tik Tok style blahhh... 👍
Great insights!
Or.....Or....Or.....you can learn to play an instrument and record the whole thing in *ONE TAKE*
Thanks for the suggestion! :)
