Wonderful demo🎶🌞🎶 comparisons. The DDP-80 has my vote with its Beautiful sound sampling loop duration & Sleek Retro-style cabinetry. Splendid Songs💙 Trevor-Vibes❤️ ThanksTerry👍😊🍻
The DDP 60 has some novel tones Terry, especially when you played Left Bank Two. Excellent demonstration of both. If only i had one percent of your playing ability. ATBB 👍
Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush is the first played. What a tune! ❤ Second - Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles. Third name that tune is You're My Best Friend - Queen.
Great demo Terry. Costco in the USA just got their Roland pianos in again for Christmas. You would be a hit at Costco. I wonder if they sell pianos at Costco in The UK? 🎹 👍
I loved the description of the pedals including "the one in the middle." Some lower end spinet style pianos don't even have that "one in the middle." This also explains some musical notation I have seen on scores that says, "quello nel mezzo" which is Italian for "the one in the middle." Just kidding - I think.
Just came across replay of your Sunday Service (the entire 2½ hours long shindig) at THE BETSEY TROTWOOD Pub - on “Local Experimentalist UK” UA-cam channel. Given that I am in US (Detroit, Michigan), and thusly couldn’t make it there, wish I had known aforehand that this was going to be streamed live. A few minutes before you first took the floor, in order to introduce Dave (Asbury Clarke), there was a nice brief historical exposé about the pub, making for an even richer total experience. And, lovely Elsie was quite charming serving as MC. After you finished your set of about 75 minutes, camera kept rolling for about another half an hour during the afterglow and tearing down. Including the outdoors “interviews” with you and Elsie and Roy.
Thank you for watching the live-stream, Ken. Yes the gig was Live-Streamed on the 'Local Experimentalist UK' UA-cam Channel. I'll put a link to this on my UA-cam Community page. Thank you for your kind words and support to my UA-cam Channel. All The Boogie Best, Ken. Terry x
It was an amazing gig and we were so glad to be there, even though it was a bit of a trip from Aberdeen (don't ask me about the flight home 🤬) Hope to see you next time we're in London, Terry, although maybe we'll bump into one another at a pub somewhere..!
Nice video, Terry! Really enjoyed your comparison of the DDP 80 and DDP 60. The DDP 80's fully weighted keys and authentic piano sound seem perfect for serious players who want a simple, no-frills experience. On the other hand, the DDP 60's variety of sounds, built-in effects, and semi-weighted keys offer more versatility for those who like to experiment. The drum machine and metronome are great additions too. Your demonstrations really helped showcase the differences. Thanks for sharing those discount codes - they'll come in handy for anyone looking to upgrade their setup. Keep up the great work!
@nancyterrywhittemore2015 Absolutely, the DDP 80 does seem to bring that richer tone quality to the table, reflecting its design for a more traditional piano experience. Terry's magic touch indeed turns every performance golden! It's always fascinating to see how different instruments can bring out different facets of a musician's talent.
Pianos in homes used to be a pretty common thing. I still think that most every home, especially ones with kids, should have a piano. However, conventional pianos are not too popular today, even though you can usually get decent Spinet or other uprights for free. (The flip side being that those are often difficult to even give away.) The cost of retuning is a real negative. So, I think it's great if people get an electronic keyboard like these. A full 88 keys, and weighted keys, is best of course. Especially if somebody is planning to also work toward playing a regular piano. It will simply feel more like one. But anything is better than nothing, and better than a kid simply buried in their iPhone or iPad.
🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 🎹 DDP-80: Simple piano with one sound, fully weighted keys, and pedal board 🎵 DDP-80: Easy to use, no menus, built-in speakers, authentic piano experience 🎛️ DDP-60: More features, including metronome, rhythm section, and multiple sounds 🔵 DDP-60: Semi-weighted keys, built-in effects, and powerful speakers 🎚️ DDP-60: 128 sounds, including acoustic piano, honky-tonk, vibes, and organ 💰 DDP-60: Slightly more expensive than DDP-80 🎼 Choice depends on user needs: simple piano (DDP-80) vs. versatile instrument (DDP-60) 🏷️ Discount codes available in video description for both models Made with HARPA AI
If there isnt a goanna at a pub have you thought of taking your own in and letting fly. I started learning trombone and cornet once for a little time . should have kept going but was uncool then .
@@TerryMilesPiano The pianos in pubs concept will be hit in Auzzie! Touring with a band or touring in a campervan? You can often get free relocation rental cars over summer. I wonder if Australia Zoo would let you setup one of those keyboards in a croc cage?

Love that Donner DDP60. Probably cost an arm or leg to get to the far Chicago suburbs.
СПАСИБО ЗА ВИДЕО. Меня больше вдохновляет, Ваша игра на органе, спасибо!!!!

Both keyboards sound good, but I think the DDP80 had a better tone quality. However, whenever you touch any keyboard, the ivories turn to gold! 💯🎹🙂♥️

The first thing I think of about the Donner, is, am I having hot chilli with it...
Looks like you're having a good old shift-round of keyboards in there, Terry..!
nice demonstration. Thanks.
But Terry what does the pedal in the middle do???
Goes up and down when you put your foot on it, of course 🤣
