so the seriesIII was after my time. Why they brought out this model ? I know the 7610 with 4cyl turbo and 97hp as well as the 6610 without turbo and 82hp . Did they stop the 7610 in favour of this ??

No. 7610 was still produced in Gen 3. The 7610 is actually 103 HP and went to 105 in Gen 3. The 6610 was dropped and 2 new tractors were introduced. The 6410 and 6810 here which is actually 94 HP.
