I really can't get enough of your reaction vids. They're my favourite format. You both just really respect the efforts that people put into performing and creating art, while also still being "fresh" so you have this wide-eyed amazement with things. BUT you don't baby people if they don't perform the greatest, and offer some good criticisms

That a good concept cause you've right, when you watch all the GBB event, who is the participant next or before have a real importance on judge and public mind. Judge can abstract to that but the public, that not the same

Yo BP, I know you have your own style of reacting but I'd still recommend putting the intros you're skipping into the video. Not only do you but also people unfamiliar with the scene get to put Beatboxers' names to the face of the performer which will help them but also will help you to avoid forgetting their names and whether or not you've seen them before.

Yo BP, I know your a man of God, so can you check out 'Stan Walker - ultralight beam cover' please, it has a few million views and in comparison to other videos on the channels who react to it, it does good.
He's a New Zealand artist and he can SAAANNNG!! Ultralight beam is originally from Kanye West but the original is nowhere near as good as stans cover..
Not only is it a good song to react to, it's a good song in general with a good message. And I could be wrong, but I dont see you doing much singing reactions unless i overlook them, but if not then new content? 🤷♂️
So about GBB - and this is going to be a bit of a rant - isn't necessarily that they aren't paying the artist. While it is a problem - they are *THE* single biggest beatbox organization on the planet and it's not even close - I understand back end cost and how much money they probably invest in their stuff. So I get it's expensive.
But the real issue is how can they not afford to pay their beatboxers? Again, Swiss Beatbox is *THE* single biggest beatbox organization on the planet and it's not even close. They have an entire world wide market, to themselves basically. They should be making hundreds of thousands - if not more - from the GBB event alone. They will have HUNDREDS of videos, getting hundreds of thousands of views minimum (and the biggest ones will easily reach in the millions) from just this single event. They have content for the next six months minimum, that will all get hundreds of thousands of views. And that's JUST ON UA-cam. If they are not making hundreds of thousands off of this event, there is something wrong and *THAT* is the problem.
You were a battle rapper. I've been watching KOTD, Grind Time, SMACK, etc. for YEARS and how many times have you heard rappers getting paid *NOTHING* at the highest level of battle rap?
Even King of the Dot in their early days were doing $1000 tournaments and battles, they were paying even lower end rappers in the hundreds of dollars for winning and while that's not a lot it's SOMETHING, and that was way before they really blew up.
Right now Swiss Beatbox has more subscribers than Grind Time, Don't Flop, King of the Dot, and Ultimate Rap League COMBINED. Swiss Beatbox's highest viewed video is over TRIPLE the amount views as the highest viewed rap battle from all 4 of those orgs. You could combine the biggest rap battles from each of those organizations and they would have less views that the SINGLE biggest Swiss Beatbox video.
So again - the issue isn't that they aren't paying their beatboxers, the issue is - why aren't they in the position that they can? Merch sales, ticket sales, memberships, ad revenue, ad sense, sponsorships, etc. with content on Facebook, UA-cam, Instagram, Tiktok, etc. all getting MILLIONS of views.
There is definitely a problem here.
At least this year they've started to pay the winner of each category. 1st place solo won 15k and 1st place loop won 12k. Problem is they're not giving anything to 2nd and 3rd which is ridiculous in my opinion. Thankfully the bbx community is tight-knit and top 4 agreed to split the money, but it should've been properly split from the get go without an internal agreement between the beatboxers.
@@enmanuel1950 I agree, and it's a great start but it's definitely not enough. People shouldn't have to go into debt to perform at the GBB IMO.
The top 4 splitting is fantastic though, and thankfully River is a dope person and agreed to do it because he easily could've just taken the money and not split it at all.
apart from the top 2 where i would rank lotus as number 1 but its just a personal preference thing i agree with the rest of ur ranking
