Ten hours later...”some kind of chemical plant” --thanks for the update
With this type of situation I hope that people understand that "sheltering in place" includes turning off A/C or heating units. Closing all windows and doors and of course, staying inside. You don't want to breath this crap or any particulates that you may not realize you are inhaling. It's not just the long-term effects that may show up years down the line. Neurological, kidney, lung and liver damage can result. Keep your vehicles A/C heat off, vents closed and windows closed as well if you have to drive anywhere. Make use of those left over masks, the heck with social pressure, if they want to breath toxic crap, they can go for it. Protect yourselves.
Not just this incident, but for any incident that may occur anywhere in our nation. Know what to do and what not to do. Stay safe and God bless.
Masks will do nothing for this type of situation much like they did nothing for Covid. They're useless.
They said that today when it happened so I hope they heard
@@HankAron-cp2ex Good to know. Thank you.
its just toxic smoke youre talking like its radioactive something

Solvents, paint stripper, industrial adhesives on fire... what could possibly go wrong?
Trusting a corporation to “do what is right” is idiotic. They either do it, or the government should force them to fiscally support these efforts to ensure there is no harm to the community.
We are talking about Texas, USA. They don't believe in regulation.
The Texas government is incredibly corrupt. Think Chicago during Prohibition but statewide and mostly controlled by the oil companies via the railroad commission (which sounds weird but is true).
Trusting a government to "Do what is right" is idiotic.
@@GOD719 The fact that the government in Texas is owned by corporations makes me think the whole thing is idiotic.
Governments can always have their issues, but are ultimately beholden to their citizens in a democracy. A corporation is only beholden to its owners or shareholders. If it's publicly traded it is legally obligated to maximize its profits above first. Of the two, only a foul trusts the corporation to do what's right.
More future content for the US Chemical Safety Board youtube channel.
Why would he say we'll make sure all will be done .23"So that there's no effect on the community? " Clearly there will be an impact.
Exactly!
“Keep moving, nothing to see here …” 😣
Very Sad and Tragic 😭😭
It's too late to ensure there's no effect on the community. Safety happens before an incident, not after.
Hey there i live in shepherd and the whole thing was over in a couple hours and no one in town (even the people that lived really close) were really even affected at all so dont worry about us we are safe 🤠👍
And a 5.3 earthquake in West Texas..
This is a weekly occurrence in texas. "We don't need no stinkin' regulations"
Weekly huh? Have some examples?
Please remind me of last weeks Texas occurrence, the weeks. Before that too! Big statement like yours needs fact checking
Fact check yourself
@@LoriL010 He doesn't have to be literal. It's definitely more often than any other state, including our gulf oil balls...etc.
Such a pos comment
This seems to happen disproportionately in Texas. Hmm.
Texas is huge and there’s more plants.
Texas is also “business -friendly” and extremely lax on regulations.
Bhopal gas tragedy was a chemical accident on the night of 2-3 December 1984 at the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) killed between 4k ish to 8k ish, 500K harmed. This is going to be happening sometime in the future the way Texas is going with its notoriously corrupt government and inspectors (or lack of them).
Somebody call 911. (Dad in shorts walking out shirtless in bare feet comes to mind)
What is it with Texas and explosions?
Sabotage.
Why would you shelter in plce when you coukd drive away who started this crap
Whats up with all these chemical plant explosions? What is this, china?
Naw...just Texas....as usual.
The way China and Texas are run are very similar.
Wide open borders. Chemical Warfare!
The damages are irreparable. We all know it's 💩
Shelter in place? Isn’t that the LAST THING you should do?? 😬😬
I wouldn't have stayed. Nope.
Earthquake in west texas too!
Chemical Warfare!!!
Bad corporates, bad government, bad media.
Oh im sure this is great for the environment
Paint remover, solvents, and industrial adhesives on fire... what could possibly go wrong?
@@Praetor_Fenix420 I know right
So are volcanoes...we should ban them too
Texas😂
Another accident, right - bull crap, a terrorist attack.
There is always an effect on others.
When will Texas get a clean government.
“Few HERE… are breathing easy.”
There’s graphite on the roof.
Open borders....but this job is also being executed from WITHIN
Unbelievable..
Here we go again, our communities and air quality for the planet effected.
What are the ELITES up to now!
There you go , the young people now living within a 100 mile radius will develop cancer in the next 20 years. ................ TRAGIC
Hey i live like 10 miles from the plant and everything is fine no need to worry
And who is the inspector
I came here after watching Chernobyl clips.
Curious that the incident was caused by forklift.
No loss of life 👍
Uh yet, I’m sure someone will die from breathing that crap. But it’s what happens sometimes.
@@tammyforbes2101hello i live in shepherd and as of yet no one has even been slightly affected by this plant exploding except for that one guy with third degree burns
Skin and eye irritants but let's make everyone within a 5 mile radius shelter in place!? Nothing is hidden anymore. Flee, leave your homes. And of they're barricading exits? You go through them. This is all horse crap.
Less regulation, more guns, less humans.
Omg!😮
why are there so many plant explosions in texas
"safety regulations?.. this is Texas , we dont need no stinking regulations"
Nice. How come we can't stop using toxic chemicals?
As usual, someone has been smoking at an inappropriate place. Typical Pendostan.
carcinogenic chemicals
Welcome to Texas
Good luck... Remember East Palestine Ohio?
Something is always exploding in texas
Whew uh uh
EPA well time for anther regulation and a fine, business is good
Our nation's private & public infrastructure is horribly unsafe and needs rebuilt and repaired . These types of preventable catastrophes happen a lot in the richest country in the world .this one is just the latest to be striking in video since the Palestine Ohio derailment And there are fatalities to the workers and neighbors close by. Its profits over citizen and environment safety. Yet instead of out tax dollars going to infrastructure repair and private corporate industrial and rail inspections by public government inspectors like OSHA ( i doubt it exists anymore. it saved a lot of industrial workers lives ) ,over 50% of our taxes goes to the military industrial complex and wars we have no business starting or being involved in
wow 'toxic smoke'
Sorry yall....I'm in Tx too....sleeper cells....
Do NOT blame Israel for this.
They will probably blame Trump
why is this news???? nothing new here..
Terrorism?
After reports to government usally there by the 3rd day for clean up
I love my great NW!
Cool!
That dude is like sleepy joe
Toluene?
We need to use more natural non-toxic substances and paints like milk paint acrylic oil...
Toxic air *oxygen
Deregulation! Thanks Republicans.
How you liking the collapse of the country, Dem? Enjoying the ride to the bottom?
Very Texas.
HAMAS?
Again
terror attack
Doubt it
Aliens
Nope just redneck town who can't run chemical plants.Only republican approve this be built in town around people
This is the third incident this year. Something wicked is going on.
@brandiwestpfahl7539 yes, your citizens have their heads in other people's azz so instead of focusing on themselves they mess up more & more than have a tantrum & blame other people. It's no different than the usual.
Lester Dolt
Alhamdulillah
Welcome to post-Trump America. Expect further incidents like this to keep happening. This is what you voted for in 2016. Sad.
Remember all those "dreadful" regulations he cut? I reckon he "overlooked" the regs about this industry...didn't read them before doing his big regulations cutting ceremony.
Why didn't biden put the regulations in place?
@@brandiwestpfahl7539 cuz he is too busy unfucking up everything ELSE that tRump did.
Nonsense!!!! Accidents and fires happen all the time everywhere! I suppose the train wreck in Ohio was Trumps fault, and the fires in Maui also.
Been 3 years & Trump is still living rent free in a lot of pee headed brains.
Yeah everbody fogot about our Palestine.
I’ll blame Joe Rogan un-related…
He said Texas is a paradise tho…
Trump! Trump! Trump!
