Yea Jungle Boy said that he and his dad were pretty close despite his parents separation and that Luke always supported his decision to get into wrestling but unfortunately Luke passed away before Jungle Boy (I think his legal name is Jack Perry) was able to make his debut (if I remember correctly Luke died from complications of a couple of strokes) so to see him have that moment, almost like he was telling his dad ‘Look pops I finally did it’ was happy but also sad to see….I’m sure that if Luke had been alive he’d be in the first row cheering his son on the loudest

The way Fenix's arm bent completely backwards was absolutely disgusting, hopefully he's alright and it's not too severe of an injury. The match was still incredible though and it's about damn time Jurassic Express finally became AEW World Tag Team Champions, they deserve it and it was honestly destined to happen even 2 years ago when they weren't nearly as popular as they are now.
Yeah, they do deserve it! Not the way they would have wanted to win it, Lucha seemed understandably upset. I wonder if they were booked to win it anyway? I Hope Penta gets some deserved time off while Fenix recovers. The silver lining is everyone loves a surprise comeback when the brother's comeback will hopefully be epic.
You really have to feel for Luchasaurus. Looks like he was having a hard time enjoying the victory at first. Christian looks to have gotten in his ear though, and that helped.

@@renelimas333 It look like a completely torn UCL or LCL if I was to guess. It's a lot quicker and less intensive recovery than say an ACL or Achilles, but it'll knock him out of action for months if it is. Godspeed on his recovery.

They probably try not to show the X sign on tv and the referee is not the only one who can throw the X sign. There's multiple employees around the ring that can throw the X sign.
If Jurassic Express wasn’t planned to win then why was Jungle boy’s mom and sister there in the front row or do they go to every AEW taping? But poor Fenix for sure.
Every now and then if I need to cheer myself up, I'll come back to this match because I was there live with a few friends that night. Jack Perry is one of my favorite talents homegrown in AEW (even with the Brawl Out London controversy) and seeing him win his first championship in AEW in person is a memory I'll always hold dear.
I love how Luchasaurus can be a monster like Kane used to be but still do insane moves for his size. Crazy to think Jungle Boy has grown into a main event talent very shortly and I love that they are still a team and just won gold. Hope Fenix recovers from his injury that looked nasty as hell. Fenix and Penta are tough as nails and they will be back better than ever I'm sure.
Im not saying its Luchasaurous fault but you see why every big man that does a choke slams holds their opponent till the very end to protect them. he let go too early and clearly Fenix wasn't at the proper angle. classic rookie mistake. hopefully fenix makes a full recovery he will be out for months for sure.

Just an unfortunate circumstance, Fenix’s arm was flared out sort of like he was trying to break his fall and anticipate the landing. No blame on either fenix or luchasaurus, just some bad luck.
@@da0701 exactly I’ve been watching wrestling since 1998 when I was 5 years old and I’ve come to learn that sometimes even when u plan a spot down to the letter accidents can still happen…for example when Darren Drozdov (Droz) was wrestling D’Lo Brown at a Smackdown taping in October of 1999 (thankfully they’ve never shown the footage of that match) and D’Lo lifted Droz up to do his running powerslam (a move he’d done dozens of times before) but unfortunately despite the fact that the spot was planned and rehearsed D’Lo slipped and his grip on Droz was loosened and poor Droz landed on his neck cracking two vertebrae and leaving him a quadriplegic (he eventually regained use of his arms and hands but remains in a wheelchair to this day) but to this day of u ask Droz or D’Lo what happened that night they’ll tell you that it was a total fluke thing and that they don’t blame each other one bit and they wish each other the best

Sad to see how things ended for the Luchas and sad it kind of muted what was a very hard-earned end for a long journey for Jurassic Express. Both of them have been workhorses for this company and deserve this. And hey…every one of the pillars of AEW have won a belt expect for MJF…maybe Punk was right about Britt passing him up!

This was one of the title matches , and each match had a variety of emotions for me , and being a longtime fan of tag team wrestling this match, not taking anything away from the other title matches , rather one of those diamonds that no one saw coming and there was so much heart in this match , I was beside myself then and each replay, and that s how you Debut Pro Wrestling on TBS, and I know there's more to come . I'm so happy for LuchaSaurus. Like Jungle boy gets so much (well deserved) attention but He's on the same level which makes their team so great. Luchasaurus deserves a lot more singles matches and looks when it comes to stardom, he's so damn great and I'm glad he's a champion in AEW.

I love how when the other teams come out Luchasaurus is just staring at them like he wants to take them all on at once. These two have become such an amazing tag team to watch with distinct personalities.
This might have been the intended outcome (especially having all the tag teams, Jericho and Malakai on stage/camera ready in the stands) but I think that match would have been a lot more flippy spectacle before the pin. With Fenix's injury of course it was cut short. All the best wishes to Fenix and the most speedy and fully recovery from that. And of course: Congrats to the new tag team champions!
no "might" about it. they want to promote tag teams. in THIS wrestler's and historian's opinion tags are severely underrated. if done well, it can carry a franchise.

I think Jungle Express was booked to win from the get go but once Fenix got hurt (maybe he was supposed to be the one to eat the pin) they had to change it on the fly but make it look natural to avoid causing a panic so Penta took the fall
@@blurryphoenix I doubt it. At no point do you see Bryce communicating with either Penta or Jack. I doubt that they even realized how severe the damage was at that point. If anything I think that was more of a "holy shit, I can't believe that worked" look.

I saw this before watching the actual show and thought the blur was due to Fenix losing his mask while going through the table...boy I was wrong. Terrible injury in an otherwise great match. Truly hope Fenix makes a full recovery as he is one of the top wrestlers in the world. In every match of his, Fenix shows us something new or crazy. Heal up, brother. The show is always better with you on it.
They didnt look happy with the win. The look on jungle boys face said it all. I believe the lucha bros were supposed to retain but with that nasty arm break from rey they probably felt it beat to give it to the challengers.

The fact that now only MJF of the four pillars have not won a single championship (well if we include the diamond ring) is mind-blowing. Alas, congrats to the Jurassic Express for the tag team gold win and hoping for speedy recovery for Fenix.
I loved those shots when all the predators (other tag teams) came out at the end after jungle boy and Luchasaurus won the match. It's like all the predators in the jungle coming out to take a look at the one prize meal to signify that the hunt is now on. I also loved that single shot of Chris Jericho in the seat, and the single shot of Malakai Black in the hoodie showing only the one black eye. Its like Chris Jericho and Malakai Black both acknowledged the new tag team champions but yet having nothing taken away from how dangerous both they themselves are.
man what's evne crazy was that stacked division, didn't even have the faces in it as well. tag team division is def just as prestigious as the world title.
My thoughts and prayers to Fenix for a quick recovery 🙏 that was one of the worst injuries I've seen since Psycho Sid broke his leg 😱😱. Besides that unfortunate incident, Hell of a great match !

not every title reign has to be long, i think 4 months is a good amount of time for something like the tag belts, if every title reign was over 3 months it would be stale, they should have both long and short title reigns its good variety. i feel like jurassic express was supposed to win, i've been seeing them on tv nearly every week since i watched in september, i doubt they were supposed to win by rollup tho, that only happened because of the injury

Jack Perry is one of my favorite talents homegrown in AEW (even with the Brawl Out London controversy) and seeing him win his first championship in AEW in person is a memory I'll always hold dear.
I love how Luchasaurus can be a monster like Kane used to be but still do insane moves for his size. Crazy to think Jungle Boy has grown into a main event talent very shortly and I love that they are still a team and just won gold. Hope Fenix recovers from his injury that looked nasty as hell. Fenix and Penta are tough as nails and they will be back better than ever I'm sure.

Just an unfortunate circumstance, Fenix’s arm was flared out sort of like he was trying to break his fall and anticipate the landing. No blame on either fenix or luchasaurus, just some bad luck.
@@da0701 exactly I’ve been watching wrestling since 1998 when I was 5 years old and I’ve come to learn that sometimes even when u plan a spot down to the letter accidents can still happen…for example when Darren Drozdov (Droz) was wrestling D’Lo Brown at a Smackdown taping in October of 1999 (thankfully they’ve never shown the footage of that match) and D’Lo lifted Droz up to do his running powerslam (a move he’d done dozens of times before) but unfortunately despite the fact that the spot was planned and rehearsed D’Lo slipped and his grip on Droz was loosened and poor Droz landed on his neck cracking two vertebrae and leaving him a quadriplegic (he eventually regained use of his arms and hands but remains in a wheelchair to this day) but to this day of u ask Droz or D’Lo what happened that night they’ll tell you that it was a total fluke thing and that they don’t blame each other one bit and they wish each other the best

Sad to see how things ended for the Luchas and sad it kind of muted what was a very hard-earned end for a long journey for Jurassic Express. This was one of the title matches , and each match had a variety of emotions for me , and being a longtime fan of tag team wrestling this match, not taking anything away from the other title matches , rather one of those diamonds that no one saw coming and there was so much heart in this match , I was beside myself then and each replay, and that s how you Debut Pro Wrestling on TBS, and I know there's more to come . I think Jungle Express was booked to win from the get go but once Fenix got hurt (maybe he was supposed to be the one to eat the pin) they had to change it on the fly but make it look natural to avoid causing a panic so Penta took the fall
@@blurryphoenix I doubt it. At no point do you see Bryce communicating with either Penta or Jack. I doubt that they even realized how severe the damage was at that point. If anything I think that was more of a "holy shit, I can't believe that worked" look.

I saw this before watching the actual show and thought the blur was due to Fenix losing his mask while going through the table...boy I was wrong. Terrible injury in an otherwise great match. Truly hope Fenix makes a full recovery as he is one of the top wrestlers in the world. In every match of his, Fenix shows us something new or crazy. Heal up, brother. The show is always better with you on it.

I loved those shots when all the predators (other tag teams) came out at the end after jungle boy and Luchasaurus won the match. It's like all the predators in the jungle coming out to take a look at the one prize meal to signify that the hunt is now on. I also loved that single shot of Chris Jericho in the seat, and the single shot of Malakai Black in the hoodie showing only the one black eye. Its like Chris Jericho and Malakai Black both acknowledged the new tag team champions but yet having nothing taken away from how dangerous both they themselves are.
man what's evne crazy was that stacked division, didn't even have the faces in it as well. tag team division is def just as prestigious as the world title.
My thoughts and prayers to Fenix for a quick recovery 🙏 that was one of the worst injuries I've seen since Psycho Sid broke his leg 😱😱. Besides that unfortunate incident, Hell of a great match !

I strongly believe the match ending was changed on the fly cause of the injury, there is no way the Lucha Bros were losing to jungle boy and Luchasaurus after only holding the titles for 4 months.

not every title reign has to be long, i think 4 months is a good amount of time for something like the tag belts, if every title reign was over 3 months it would be stale, they should have both long and short title reigns its good variety.
i feel like jurassic express was supposed to win, i've been seeing them on tv nearly every week since i watched in september, i doubt they were supposed to win by rollup tho, that only happened because of the injury

@@santidasilva1300 table was set up too close to the ring which caused him to land wrong. As soon as Alex put it there I thought man someone might get hurt. This is why wrestlers need to set up their own tables instead of the Spanish announcer doing it.
