This just popped up on my feed. Thanks for putting it out there. I keep thinking about getting back into trapping. But I don't see it covering the cost of fuel yet. Good luck trappers!
@OutdoorExperiences the idea of selling flat frozen is a new one to me. I've always thawed. Now if we could convince Guy to stop bankers hours for the truck route... Who wants to take a day off work to sell $6 ave coon or $12 ave beaver. All the routes to my town this year or anywhere within an hour are before 5pm. For years they came through at 630 or 730.
I remember 8dollar rats in the early 80’s even if it stayed the same price as then you would still be going backwards didn’t have to skin them or flesh them
Oh boy rats are not big in my area but I found a place I thought was loaded I pulled out 30 bigger than Large and bunch of large and just a few bucks each, that sure made me sad!
Put up raccoon same as green raccoon? Yeah ok......and "normally these blue raccoon aren't worth anything but since you put in the effort to put them up I'll pay you a dollar" really makes sense....😂😂😂 GFW a charity?
@@kennethflynn2469 you have to sell green so there is more work than selling in the round. However, the idea of stopping isn't in the plan. Scale back to a show and tell line. But don't let raccoons and coyotes get out of hand. It'll take years to recover

@ there seemed to be a crash a few years ago I’ve been seeing more house’s and pushups but nobody traps around here aged out
@leonkellerhuis3642 oh wow! I would say muskrat trapping just might be my favorite!

I think they do have some grace and leeway so to show good faith better that then to say to throw them away

Who's paying more?
Nobody until the us relations with china and russia improve.@@fishhead1314
The market definitely needs some help that's for sure
Bidenomics at work
Unless your trapping predators on your hunting ground I wouldn't bother trapping. A lot of time and work for pennies on the dollar
True but the enjoyment is something to consider, more of a hobby than a profit line

@andystampfli9127 very well said!
Consider a line on way to and from work! Sell Some. Tan some. Pretty good exercise, and no competition!
@southerniowaboys1396 very true! Great tips!
