The mag is a Bosch BA-1. Not a hard mag to find, but my gear fits a small taper and these mags with the small tapered shaft are hard to find. I put the mag on today and gave it a little snort of ether and it took right off, so it won't be long until I have it complete and make another video.
We have gone backwards on machine design since the days this beauty was made!
Good luck with your project.
Engine within the wheel, that's nice!
Real unique piece, be great to see it running!
WOW,Thats a odd ball..But I like it! Cant wait to see her run!!
thats cool!
Reminds me of a Briggs/AO Smith Motor Wheel.
I was waiting to see the mag. I have the same engine on a bike. I am missing the mag, but bought a gear so I can run it off a buzz coil and contacts.

Is your's base mount or flange mount? All the BA-1 mags I have seen are base, but the engine looks like a flange mount/
+Jonathan W The mag is base mounted on a 90 degree cast iron bracket that bolts to the engine case.
I'm missing the bracket! Makes sense now. Thanks!!!
Is that a ford 555 in the back ground?
Yes it is, 1979 model.
