Hi Jamie, Dave Sheppard here from England. I bought the Yew bow "Solent" that you made. I bought this bow in 2017. I am just getting back into shooting again after a lay off. I started with my 40lb Bickerstaffe and have been shooting my Hickory/Osage/Osage bow at 48lb. Warming myself up for "Solent" which is 52lb @ 28". I hope you and your family are well Sir!! Kind regards, Dave.
Hi Justin...Thanks for checking in and for your concern (which we share). The reason the tree is increasingly rare is because of the forest practices which don't value Yew as a commercial timber - which means they just drive over it, use it in the roads or burn it in slash piles. A small, conscientious company who takes some trees is not the issue. Plus we go into areas that are on the chopping block.
I love your bow. A masterpiece of craftsmanship. Beautiful wood. Absolutely perfect finish. It is an absolute pleasure shooting a yew bow. I love the bow. Greetings from Germany.
Hi there Jamie (this is Jerry in Eastern Washington to your south)! Those bows look wonderful - great crop of new yew bows and students. They certainly remind me of the fantastic week I had at bow-camp this last June. I have yet to hunt with my beautiful bow but certainly have been having fun shooting it. Hope things are well to the north and I am glad folks are continuing the fun and challenge of building yew long bows with you and Ravensbeak Natureworks. Take care.

Thanks Jerry! Good to hear from you - let us know how it goes if you do get out hunting!
Hey Jamie, those bows look awesome! I bet everyone had a top time, spending four solid days just making bows. Hope all is good at ravenbeak
Thanks ben. All is well over on this end. Lots of bows on the go at the moment. Cheers
Do you do international shipping? What's the waiting period for a custom made bow?
Yes. We ship worldwide (regularly). Custom bow lead time is 8-12 months. Let me know if you have any other questions.
That penultimate bow was astounding!
Thanks! Was great fun to see emerge.
